Danube of Thought on Ipad

Sue, where are you reading these hints?

Danube of Thought on Ipad

Seems to me it's a completely new thing, Ext.

Sue

I hope to hell it isn't a republican. I hate stuff like that. If you have something, release it. If you have his tax returns, you got them illegally.

Porchlight

Sue, maybe because whatever they have is no big deal? Or it's a scurrilous operation just designed to mess with people?

Lord knows the left needs something to hang onto...24 business hours comes to mind...

Sue

Porch,

I know.

DoT,

From Porch's link one page back. October surprise.

derwill

Yeah, but tax returns have your name and SSN right on the top page, so nothing for the candidate in question to "recognize"--it would be self-evident to everybody.

Janet

Unless Romney says, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." then I am voting Romney no.matter.what.

Sue

Janet,

Me too.

Danube of Thought on Ipad

I don't see anything at the link that indicates it's Dems.

The time counter does't seem to change, and is ambiguously labeled.

Porchlight

Maybe it's your browser, DoT? Time counter is changing in IE on my PC.

tommy mc donnell

if obama knew on sept. 12 it was a terrorist attack why did he spent two weeks telling us is was a spontaneous demonstration that got out of control?

Danube of Thought on Ipad

And why did Clapper "clarify" on September 28 that the intelligence had "evolved?"

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--So Stevens was based in Benghazi during Obama's Kinetic Foreign Aid Operation, and then became ambassador afterwards?--

Excellent catch and question, Cathyf.

I'd ignore the OctSurprise thing.

IF someone had something that would "turn a nail-biter into a landslide" or whatever they claim AND it favored the One, it would have been released last week to stop the bleeding.

Next week is too late.

If it's something like Bush's arrest record, then it has to be released so close to the election that the candidate can't take steps to rebute or diffuse.

Next week is too early.

From Obama's Convention speech:

I promised to refocus on the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11. We have. We’ve blunted the Taliban’s momentum in Afghanistan, and in 2014, our longest war will be over. A new tower rises above the New York skyline, al Qaeda is on the path to defeat, and Osama bin Laden is dead.

From the Democratic Platform:
Under the leadership of President Obama and the Democratic Party, the tide of war is now receding, and America is looking ahead to a new future. We have responsibly ended the war in Iraq. We have struck major blows against al-Qaeda, bringing Osama bin Laden and other senior al-Qaeda leaders to justice, and putting the terrorist organization on the path to defeat. And we have reversed the momentum of the Taliban and established the conditions to draw down our forces in Afghanistan.

Rebel Arms Flow Is Said to Benefit Jihadists in Syria

WASHINGTON — Most of the arms shipped at the behest of Saudi Arabia and Qatar to supply Syrian rebel groups fighting the government of Bashar al-Assad are going to hard-line Islamic jihadists, and not the more secular opposition groups that the West wants to bolster, according to American officials and Middle Eastern diplomats.

Lets see what it could be based on Romney's profile, experience and life:

He did his mission in France. You make your own guesses here but I have it on good authority that when he lived there he preferred women who shaved their legs.

When at Bain did he in fact strike a private deal with China that if they backed the start of Staples he would make sure that all pencils, erasers and paper clips were imported from Guangzhou?

As the CEO of the Salt Lake Olympics is it possible that since these were the first games with mandatory drug testing by the Anti-Doping Agency, Mitt did the inaugural "pee in a cup" (like the ceremonial first pitch in a world series) but it was tested positive for HGH?

As Governor of Massachusetts did he in fact hire all these brilliant women or were some of them in drag?

As a Bishop of his Mormon religion is it possible that he has a secret harem of women in big hair buns and long droopy dresses?

He does have a Swiss Bank Account and perhaps they have found that at one time the same account belonged to Hermann Goering.

The possibilities are immense but whatever it is will fizzle because of the build up. If you have something on someone that is really explosive you bring it out right away regardless of the debate schedule. Why wait to Monday when you get more air and press on Sunday?

You hear it here first - total, unadulterated BS.

The green/blue coloration on one of the documents looks suspiciously like the color used by the SAT college boards group for reporting SAT scores.

Ghost Busters 3?

Dennis Miller Show much fun today. Guest Host Larry O'Connell from Breitbart was hosting. Interesting comment from him about how he was at the Debate in the Press room and that with all the loud applause and rooting for Obama from the MSM guys surrounding him, that he was unsure in his personal perception of how it was playing to middle America and he worried that his personal impressions of Obama being nothing to write home about were incorrect.

He said that during the Benghazi Candy Crowley moment he shouted out to the MSM bunch that he had in hand the actual words from Obama on that day if anyone wanted to see them for themselves and that the only guy who came on over to look was from FOX News. Big surprise, no?

Dennis called in during hour 3 and we find out that Dennis is off doing guest shots as opener for the Romney Campaign today. Yay!

Fun quick chat from Dennis calling in, and then, while jabbering, suddenly the Romney Entourage pulls up and Dennis is saying "I have to go now, the Governor is here and I've go to go and greet him and prep the crowd etc, bye."

It ran thru my mind that this was the exact same scene as from GhostBusters 1, where Dennis's old SNL buddy Bill Murray and the Ghost Busters are let out of jail to go advise the New York Mayor about the pending calamity and the EPA guy's idiocy.:

" Vinkman---to other jailbirds
"I gotta split. The mayor wants to rap with me about some things."

It was a beautiful moment, Dennis's "Vinkman," but I don't think Dennis recognized that he was playing that scene. Ha!

Anyhow, kudo's to Reince Priebus or whomever, who finally got their heads out of their rectums and allowed Dennis to contribute his marvelous wit and energy to the Romney Campaign. Good job folks.

Stephanie

Go to the site linked earlier, then go to the twitter stream.. about half way down they have a link to the buzz site and the documents are shown there (jpg). Fuzzed out and blacked out in parts, but the one document looks suspiciously like the college boards reporting form that you get when you get your SAT/ACT scores.

Don't know if some photoshop guru could back engineer the docs to unfuzzed, but...

DebinNC

Maybe related to Mitt's military draft category?

jimmyk

...the notion that attacking the fed would be bad for the economy.

Ha, glad you said that and not me, cathyf.

The plot has a comical air to it: The guy was dealing with only undercover agents all along. Anyone who's been down in that area knows that you can't just park a van anywhere near the Fed and walk away. It would be like thinking you could park a van near the White House and blow it up. Not that the guy wasn't seriously trying to do it, he just doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Stephanie

Army forms use military green if they use any color at all if they are that old. College Boards use that teal green/blue. I think JLo referred to the color as "gangrene" in The Wedding Planner.

George McGovern was an american hero flying B-24s for the 8th Air Force in WWII. He did his 25 missions with courage and distinction. Oct Sur says it relates to something said in the debates so I don't think SAT scores would fit

Since Obama lied from beginning to end in that debate, what could possibly be news about it?

Ralph L

I believe someone here brought this up last night, but it's worth repeating: (from Althouse)
Sofa King said...
I found it rather suspicious both that Crowley convenien[t]ly happened to have the transcript (the complete transcript, mind you, not the official White House transcript) AND that Obama knew she had it.

Clarice

I don't find it that suspicious. She had it because it was an obvious area to be covered and disputed. I don't know hoe Sofa king knows Obama knew she had it until by her actions and words it seemed she did.

Two weeks earlier, she had disputed with Axelrod Obama's version of the Rose garden phrase. What's more puzzling is how she forgot at the debate what she knew so well only 2 weeks earlier.

JM Hanes

If it were a serious October surprise, they'd spring the trap without any warning. Is it sweeps week on the net?

Karl-Rove: No Candidate Has Ever Lost With Numbers Like Mitt Romney Has Today

The Obama campaign has pulled down all of its negative advertising. And is now running virtually all positive ads in the battleground states heralding all the success of the last four years. This is very unusual because they have been constantly beating up on Romney. In recent weeks the president’s negatives have risen and Romney particularly after this debate has moved into a lead. You saw it in the Gallup poll you talked about. Six point lead, 51-45. Yesterday it was 50-46. This is the first time that Romney has hit 50 percent in the Gallup likely voter poll and the president has never hit 50 percent in the likely voter poll. And no candidate who has led in mid-October with 50 percent or more in the likely voter poll has ever gone on to lose.“
jimmyk

I actually was 12 in '72, and vaguely recall stuffing envelopes or something like that for McGovern's campaign.

I hadn't been aware of his military heroism, but he always struck me as a thoroughly decent guy even as my politics diverged from his. The WSJ seems only to go back four years in its archives, but this followup piece is on the same topic, the ironically named "Free Choice" act:

Well, I feel much better. I voted today at about 5:30 in Sandy Springs, GA. Early voting began on Monday.

In 2008 when I early voted at about the same time of day in the same early voting place, lines wound around the voting building on the outside, and once you got inside, they had a Disney World like queue in the hallways. It took me nearly 2 hours to wend my way into the voting booth. The vast majority of voters then were African American, and they were enthusiastic.

Today, about 10 people showed up while I was there. Total time from parking, voting, to getting back in my car -- 15 minutes.

On the October Surprise, I have a hunch it is some of the documents in Al Capone's safe that Gerry Rivers has been saving for a time it would do the most good. Probably has something to do with the Mormon Mafia.

In any event, the worst that could come out about Mitt's tax returns is that he took big business losses some years that brought his tax rate way down. But if it comes out on Monday, that gives him plenty of rebuttal time to come out with the documentation proving his losses were legit.
