Matt Drudge has been teasing a breakthrough video of someone saying something for hours. He has now narrowed it down as bit - Obama is giving a speech on race [Here at the Daily Caller]. Lots of previewing and excerpts here. And The Atlantic reruns an Andrew Sullivan transcript.
HE DOES SAY "IF": Let me pluck this from the transcript:
If we have more black men in prison than are in our colleges and universities, then it's time...
It's time to go to a fact check with Jim Geraghty. Let's note that Rev. Wright was citing that faux-stat as well.
THE BITER BIT: I L-U-V this blast from the past denouncing Washington:
In the last several years, we have seen Washington become a place where driving the wedge to further divide us and keeping score of who's up and who's down is more important than who's working on behalf of the sick and the hungry and the lonely.
We have been told that our mounting debts don't matter, that the economy is doing great, and that people's anxieties about rising health care costs and disappearing pensions aren't a big deal.
Ouch.
UPDATE: Per the Daily Caller, the transcript linked above is 'as prepared'; Obama's remarks as actually delivered were less temperate.
If this does nothing else then to have people start questioning what they've been hearing from the MSM, I'll be pleased.

"In his new book, “The Liberal War on Transparency,” Horner details how multiple officials, including former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Jim Messina, conducted business on private email accounts so those communications would never end up on the public record. Messina, who is now manager of the Obama re-election effort, used a personal email account to negotiate with the drug industry and bring them on board the push to pass Obamacare in exchange for $4 billion in incentives.
Horner said those emails were deleted, despite federal law demanding that all government business be preserved and done through official means of communication. He warned that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“I’ve got an affidavit, which I reveal in the book for the first time, from an official in the government acknowledging that they’ve got essentially a cyber bonfire going on at all times in the administration,” said Horner, who said the “bonfire” is tasked with “destroying records, using nongovernmental computers to access governmental servers.”
He explained, “They’ve got this system rigged whereby that destroys all traces of the record on the government system, and because they’re using a private computer very deliberately there’s no government computer you can then find the trace of the record on. If they did what they were supposed to do, you would leave these electronic footprints everywhere. It’s a very organized government-wide systemic effort to avoid leaving any trails. The problem is, that’s against the law.”"

His wife is currently vying for a seat on the City Council
A New Orleans lawyer would have saved himself a lot of trouble if only he checked his pockets before heading to court on Monday. Assistant city attorney Jason Cantrell was issued a summons after he dropped a joint while talking to a police officer in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court.
People who witnessed the comical scene said that two officers glanced at the joint, and then exchanged a bemused look before making arguably the world’s easiest drug bust.

"After nearly four years in office, many Americans still express frustration that much about Barack Obama remains a mystery as establishment media remain incurious about the Democratic president, while seemingly ready to dispatch crack investigative teams at a moment’s notice to probe into the personal lives of Republican figures such as Sarah Palin. Largely ignored in 2008 was research by the Hillary Clinton campaign based on contacts developed with members of the church Obama attended for two decades, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. This is the first of a series of articles WND has developed from months of in-person interviews with church members who have known Barack and Michelle Obama over many years. The sources requested that their identities not be published because they believe their disclosures would put their security at risk.
NEW YORK –Ten years ago, the New York Times reported on a growing underground subculture in the black community known as Down Low, comprised largely of men who secretly engage in homosexual activity while living “straight” lives in public.
It’s within that subtext that opposition researchers for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign began investigating rumors that Rev. Jeremiah Wright was running a “matchmaking service” for members of his Trinity United Church of Christ known as the Down Low Club, which included Barack Obama..."

Sometime around March 21st, Janet, when Roland Martin, started with the pushback, from the relevant wiki; wright controversy;
Lisa Miller in Newsweek reported that, before the political controversy erupted, "Trinity was already in the throes of a difficult generational transition." After the period of Wright's speaking engagements before national audiences, Miller describes how "the reaction was anguish and anger" among church members and that three basic factions developed among them: those who wished Wright would not speak anymore, those who believed in what he said, and those who just wished the whole controversy would go away.[66]
Posted by: narciso | October 02, 2012 at 10:27 PM
Oh, that's what was about;
In 2004, prior to the Wright controversy, Anthony E. Cook, a professor of law at Georgetown University, provided a detailed comparative analysis of sermons delivered after 9-11 by Jerry Falwell, T.D. Jakes and Jeremiah Wright. Cook noted that the overall intent of Falwell's and Jakes's sermons was to use the Christian religion as a justification for the War on Terror, while Wright's overall intent was to side against war and to get listeners to engage in introspection about their daily behavior and relationship with God.[67]
