To placate his base Gov. Cuomo of New York continues to sit on a state Health Department report endorsing fracking while waiting for a study he can cite that will put the kibosh on it.
Geez, and I just saw 'Promised Land', where I learned that Evil Big Energy routinely deceives and outmuscles the little Green men (and women!).
Andrew Cuomo, a man who made it entirely on his own.

Well he helped bring about the housing collapse, while at HUD, yet McCain thought he was a proper replacement at the SEC, what could go wrong?
Posted by: narciso | January 06, 2013 at 12:18 PM
Fracking will only bring NY needed energy, revenue and jobs. Not fracking will bring Cuomo re-election money. Do the math.

A man who made it entirely on his own? I'll believe that once pigs fly, Peter.
These men are dangerous, but up against a few R.A.D. grads, I'd bet they'd be whimpering like babies.

Peter better get that bleeding tongue looked at. If you stick it that far in your cheek, you're bound to tear something.

Well in order to ensure that NY will be bailed out by the Feds, and they are 'TBTF, one has to block fracking.

Utterly OT, but if you look at the ad for our Yosemite property there is a google earth map that if you zoom in on all the way you can see us logging in 2011.
The area to the SW of the central meadow shows trees down and limbed [skinny light colored polls among the trees surrounded by green halos of limbs that have been cut off] and a large deck of logs on the very SW corner of the property just north of "NF 3N01" .
In between are dark streaks where the logs were skidded.
North of that is the log loader visible as a large white square on the road.
On the North end of the meadow is my white pickup, parked where I was out in the woods marking trees.
Might only be of interest to me but kind of cool, I thought.

Yeah, couple of feet of snow there now and the nearest plow is about ten miles away.
Great fun taking a snow machine in though.
--My dog Fredo does that for me.--
If he can leave a blue stripe about chest high I might want to hire him.
Of course if he could do that Ringling Bros probably would have hired him already.

I was going to ask you or Rocco or Dave in Mass. the question about Kerry's sucessor.
I bet Deval puts himself in the seat and BaHnny Frank has a fit about it.
In reality, I think Frank gets the nod ,much to the chagrin of Markey and then runs for the seat in the spring or summer. It's a Barney stealth ploy.Have I mentioned that I hate that that idiot is named Barney? It was my son's favorite character when he was little.

Barney the purple dinosaur. And BEBop.

I can't think of anything Patrick owes Barney and unless his buddy Obama wants Frank in the Senate my guess is it's a no-go.
If Barney wanted to stay in DC, why didn't he run for re-election? It's very odd unless and and Mr. Right are having marital difficulties.

I don't. He lives in a district that would vote for him 20 times because he is gay. No other reason necessary. Sean Bielat was a great candidate, but he didn't make a dent against a 15 year old Kennedy.

congrats, clarice. I think has become ever more obvious with the IPCC scandal and the carbon tax/credit scandals and now Cuomo sitting on the fracking report that it is an insider's game to milk every dime from the rubes and keep the oligarchy in power.
Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs is rule #1, and the Saudis have been buying American politicians for a very long time.

It appears that the president does not have enough votes to confirm Hagel. Hagel has no real constituency except for Buchanan and Brezinski. So why is his name being floated? Is it a diversion of some sort like the fake birth certificate? What game is this?

I am always hoping the Falcons can take care of business.
I am too. Seattle's been a garbage franchise for a long time before Pete Carroll put an added veneer of slime on top of it. And I'm not saying that just because they beat the Skins; every game I've seen of theirs this year they've always dished out the type of cheap shots that the Saints did when they had Bountygate. You'd think King Roger's trained monkeys that review films would be a little sensitive to that. Eff those punks.
Regarding the Skins, any year you go from worst to first in your division is a good one. I'm pretty sure RG3 will have some maintenance done on his knee in the offseason and come back strong. This is the most optimistic I've been going into an offseason since HOF Joe Gibbs v1.0.
Posted by: Captain Hate | January 06, 2013 at 07:45 PM
