H2 channel on Friday night at 10 is showing a report on Benghazi. Prisoners, CIA outpost and other buzz words are in the advert for the show.

Have no idea when it was taped, nor how accurate it may be after the revelations this week, but WOW!

OT---for Dante fans,

Some Romanian artist spent seven months recreating the hellish visions of the nine circles of hell from Dante's Divine Comedy using 40,000 Lego bricks.

Here's the 9th Circle, TREACHERY: Lucifer lies here chained by the Angelic Seal which keeps him captive in the frozen environment.

Treachery's okay and all, but personally I'm more a fan of Lust and Gluttony:)

G'nite.

The WSJ has pointed out the JEF's and his dumbass spokesdweeb have been claiming that the IRS is "independent" and somehow whatever it does is far removed from his oversight. That might be true in that the Indonesian grifter is on the golf course so much that he doesn't do a damn bit of supervising. But the IRS is a part of the Treasury department and reports to him or the Iranian Rodent or whoever is calling the shots for Ear Leader. This garbage of trying to act like it's "independent" is an insult to anybody with a functioning cortex and an obvious effort to try and distance himself from accountability.

Mark Levin had a copy of the IG report and it's a pretty scathing indictment of what went on but with no specifications of who did anything. Everything is stated in vague terms of "groups of specialists" who came up with guidelines targeting conservative entities. Levin made it clear that Congress, specifically the House because Reid won't do a damn thing on this, has to get people in front of them under oath and find out who did all this and under who's direction.

March 2010

"In February 2010, the Champaign Tea Party in Illinois received approval of its tax-exempt status from the IRS in 90 days, no questions asked.

That was the month before the Internal Revenue Service started singling out Tea Party groups for special treatment. There wouldn’t be another Tea Party application approved for 27 months."

March 2010 was when Obamacare was passed. The Kill the Bill rally on March 20, 2010 was when the coordinated lie about the Tea Party rallies being racist really took off. Representatives Andre Carson, John Lewis, Emanuel Cleaver, & James Clyburn lied. So March 2010 was when the IRS decided to do their part too.

Extraneus
“I’m not sure how many of those cases … I have actually signed off on,” Holder said. “I take them very seriously. I know that I have refused to sign a few [and] pushed a few back for modifications.”
rse

I saw DOT's comment on conspiracy theories on the previous page. As someone who has encountered several actual important coordinated efforts involving steralth attempts to implement unpopular public policy, I will say that if you have the real thing it is not a theory or you have no business talking about it. It harms credibility of everything and everyone.

And if you have one, there is invariably a much better, less-off-putting way to describe it. So if something can be factually proved, ask if it matters at this point. Secondly, if it still does, approach it from that direction and tell why it matters and why misrepresentations would be useful. And the magic cui bono? question.

Conspiracies happen especially around government power or personal scandal but there is invariably a different way to address. And history is your friend. Use it to analogize but make it apt.

So if this Admin is starting to self-destruct, let's get our analogies right and maybe actually reach the LIVs and teach them something about government being inherently corrupt because it is not their money they are dispensing. And the incentives are perverse.

We could have quite a few teaching moments over the next 15 months if we are wise and tell good stories and get our facts and comparisons right.

And if it is a conspiracy with a capital C, still approach it by telling the why story first.

Does anyone have information (besides Rove) about the seven Senators who pushed the IRS to investigate conservative groups? Other Senators include Baucus,Franken and Whitehouse.

NK

I urge people to consider the following if they are really interested in nailing Obummer and derailing his evil statist plans for this country:
1. IRS scandal is should be used to derail ObummerCare because it uses the biased corrupt IRS to collect a TRILLION DOLLARs in fines and medicare taxes- JEF will be able to get the media to scapegoat IRS resignations and say NOT JEF's fault-- but the IRS as ObummerCare enforcer can be derailed, and without enforcement ObummerCare fails;
2. AP subpoenas-- go hard on hearings fast, and the Media will cover this, they are pissed at Holder-- this will topple Holder, a truly despicable man-- blow him out of there, again Obummer gets to blame Holder, but this adds to the JEF THE INCOMPETENT Meme;
3. Benghazi -- be really careful here-- the scandal isn't in not sending troops that night-- The Military establishment is giving JEF cover on that-- THE SCANDAL is in the failure to prepare for 9/11 AND Obummer/Hildabeast's lies for 2 weeks after Benghazi. THEY LIED TO US REPEATEDLY-- and their lies about AQ being dead endanger all of us-- see Boston Bombs. The lies go to JEF the lying bastard, and the lack of preparation goes to JEF THE INCOMPETENT. The Media will cover for JEF aout military response, but they will be pissed at him for feeding them false 'summaries' of the emails.
IF this is played right-- the LIVs will understand that JEF is a lying incompetent who can't be trusted on gun control, Immigration or ObummerCare. That is all.

NK

Porch-- the Sebelius shakedown of Insurance Compnaies for ObummerCare funds, plus the IRS corruption are the perfect way to derail ObummerCare. ObummerCare fails on its own 'merits'-- it raises everyones's premiums -- especially single customers-- to finance healthcare for those without employer plans and it cuts Medicare to pay for NONworker medicAid, plus soon people will be thrown off their employer plans and into 'Exchanges' because the employer won't pay the rate increase. People are realizing those terrible flaws already-- add to the fact that the IRS and Insurance Companies are the thugs collecting the money to pay for this -- who do LIVs hate more than the IRS/Insurance Companies!-- and we can kill off ObummerCare. Rightly so.

BR

Try coming in on my slipstream, Ninth Try :)

henry

Marlene, from the radio this morning there were a series of threats letters sent to the IRS head.

1. Harry Reid
2. The Schumer 7
3. House D's gathered by Schumer
4. Carl Levin - multiple letters
5. some more (I was driving, not taking notes)

Each letter threatened hearings and consequences if the Tea Party was not suppressed.

James D.

The Politico article BR links at 8:53, there are some real gems in there. The "reporters" mention:

"Obama’s aloof mien and holier-than-thou rhetoric"

and

"This White House’s instinctive petulance, arrogance and defensiveness"

Gee whiz, maybe if you lying jackasses hadn't spent the last five years on your kneepads fawning over Obama, and instead had bothered to tell the truth about how aloof, petulant, arrogant and defensive he and his lackeys are, we wouldn't be where we are now.

Extraneus

Also Baucus.

In 2010, Senate Finance Committee Chair Max Baucus urged the Internal Revenue Service to look into several conservative nonprofits. But on Tuesday Baucus said he did not believe his urgings had any effect on the IRS’s decision to do exactly that.

“I doubt very much,” said Baucus, a Montana Democrat, when asked if he thought his letter had been influential. “That was awhile ago.”

NK

The Legacy Media-- they are shocked shocked I say!! to find lies and corruption everywhere in Obamaville. The Media are FAR worse than the Obamaniacs-- the Obamaniacs lied and cheated for power-- the Media lies and cheats to suck up to the ObamaPower. They disgust me mmore than Obama does.

Nick

Your cheap shots at Karl Rove are way, WAY out of line.

James D.

NK, that's a good point. But personally, I'm losing the capacity to differentiate my disgust and contempt, between the MSM, the administration, the rank and file Dems, and the LIVs who lap up the lies and put these people into office.

The fact that the Common Core represents its plan for changing how we think is just not on people's radars but it ought to be.

Off to pull the books of a few of the endorsers recruited to shill for the book that I can tell are related to my story.

I am not sure what to believe at the moment. Three very juicy crises with exploding cigars every few hours.

If one reads Drudge, the Dems are so deep into the IRS scandal that campaign chairs, strategists, and high government officials are all at risk of serious prison time. Going after Billy Graham and Romney? Not smart unless you figure you can buy/legislate/litigate yourself out of trouble. If true this takes the scandal to a whole new level far beyond Nixon.

The AP scandal has stirred a hornet's nest. While truly a First Amendment violation, I don't know if the masses get this one yet.

Apparently a major magazine is working on a campaign finance scandal as well. Sounds like the same garbage that occurred in 2008 with funds pouring in from overseas accounts and donors such as M. Mouse and A. Hilter. We'll see about that one.

In the meantime we are still waiting for the shoes to drop on Benghazi.

The "I" word is beginning to be mentioned, but are we ready for President Biden? Or is Biden a part of it as well?

The sum of the whole is that this Administration is far more corrupt than any in history. In other administrations to corruption was for financial gain; oil leases, railroad rights of way.

This time it is a leftist putsch by stealthy means. A combination of the Chicago Way and executive orders changing the very nature of our society into an oppressive oligarchy run for and by Kirchneristas.

It's not a coincidence but it's not necessarily directed either. Read the taxprof piece linked by Narciso and consider the fact the Tea Party was a "new thing" for the IRS drones charged with paper shuffling in the subject department. The development of flags and process for "New Thing" was not necessarily directed any more than the IRS drones receive more than cursory "management".

The stuff popping up about directed audits is more important, IMO, than the targeting of "new thing" by paper shufflers whose performance is measured by in-baskets throughput rather than correct resolution. The development of a "review" flag cleared their in-baskets and that's what counts.

The new Death Panels will operate in a similar fashion for quite some time.

Hawaii Newspaper Birth Announcements

186. We found the sequence of reported births around the reporting of the Obama birth was actually an anomaly for Hawaiian newspaper reporting in August 1961 because the sequence of births before and after Obama’s was one of the few birth sequences in the entire month that were identical in every detail, including the order of other birth announcements preceding and following the Obama birth announcement.

187. We concluded that birth lists were in fact released by the Hawaii Department of Health, not information volunteered to the newspaper from parents or relatives, was the likely source of information for the newspaper birth announcement listing, in that: Neither newspaper had an editor that handled birth announcements; Both newspapers merely printed birth announcements, directly as received, from information published in Department of Hawaii vital statistics announcements;Hawaiian hospitals did not report to newspapers any birth announcement information;Neither newspaper independently checked the truthfulness or accuracy of birth announcement information published by the newspapers from Hawaii Department of Health vital statistics records.

188. Searching over a several year period, various researchers have found repeated listings of births to Japanese parents as being reported in the newspapers as Hawaiian births, even though the children were found to be born in Japan. These findings tend to reinforce what we learned on our visits to Hawaii: that it was then the widely-recognized practice in Hawaii, later regularized by statute, to certify foreign births to Hawaiian parents as Hawaiian births.

189. In 1961, the Hawaii Department of Health appears to have used local area offices outside Honolulu as reporting centers where parents and other family members could represent children born to the family as Hawaiian births, without submitting any proof the child was actually born in Hawaii. This practice was also statutorily permitted.

Rob Crawford
Read the taxprof piece linked by Narciso and consider the fact the Tea Party was a "new thing" for the IRS drones charged with paper shuffling in the subject department.

Twaddle. Tea Party groups were organizing under existing law, and other groups were organizing under that law at the same time. Further, other groups that organized under the same law were not presented with the ludicrous questionnaires and delays.

And, on the gripping hand, the IRS has admitted this was a matter of policy and that the policy was focused on conservative groups.

These weren't innocent civil servants striving to do a difficult job in a complex world. These were political operatives abusing government authority.

James D.

One point I'd really like to see our side make is that we, as private citizens, in many cases do not have the luxury of using "not necessarily directed" or similar explanations as a defense, when the government comes calling on us.

There are thousands of pages of laws and regulations that don't require intent, or even knowledge that one was in violation, and that have serious criminal penalties attached.

That same standard ought to apply to the IRS workers, and their superiors, right up to the White House. If it's good enough for you or I, it's damn well good enough for them.

While the MSM and some dem pols (but I repeat myself) are busy wrapping their petty self-interest in the flag of righteous indignation, I think providing Obama an early retirement is a bridge too far for them In impeaching Obama they'd de facto impeach themselves; their entire argument for taking power would be staked through the heart, decaptitated, have its mouth stuffed with garlic, and be buried at a crossroads. Fear of at least near- to mid-term ex post facto retribution from rump Obama supporters and associated progs in both public and private sectors may also be a factor, though dealing swiftly and appropriately with those guilty of wrongdoing in these imbroglios would help disincentivize that.

The new Death Panels will operate in a similar fashion for quite some time.

The IRS scandal should be the death knell of Obamacare. The higher ups said they knew nothing about it - fine, than are we going to allow people who may hate blacks, or blue-eyed people to make decisions on our healthcare. They have already admitted there is no oversight.

I want all of those senators who wrote letters to the IRS encouraging them to break the law to resign. Immediately. This is a complete dereliction of duty on their part.

They all belong in jail.

We are about to be treated to a whole new set of tactics by the Obama administration. I'm pretty sure the same reporters who couldn't care less about his lies, suddenly will find a way to pay attention.

Spring came late this year. But it is looking sunny today.

I think if you put Romney in charge of getting the city back on its feet, he'd fail.

Romney would have been clear on the need for bankruptcy, with pensioners and other creditors taking hits, followed by structural reforms. Whether the law, or judges supposedly following the law, would have allowed it is anyone's guess.

I haven't followed it closely enough, so I'm not sure if Bing was going in that direction and failed, or maybe the state takeover preempted any real direct progress. I have no confidence that anyone as good as Bing is waiting in the wings.
