Dangerous things, pencils. On my left hand, right at the base of the pinky, there's a dark spot that's a bit of "lead" from a pencil. I think I was 7 or 8 when it went in.

Self-inflicted, not fired by a classmate. I'm sure they were tempted, though.

Melindairy Romanoff again on again

Where's the EPA on the excessive use of graphene?

NK

"Similarly, making gun noises does not transform... oh, for heaven's sake, it's not that complicated." ... ahem... so says the man with the Field Hockey stick at the ready.

Danube of Thought

I blame guns for creating a climate of stupidity throughout the land.

Jeff Dobbs

But was it a high capacity assault pencil?

Jim Eagle

Bill Ayers' work continues to reap rewards of clever design. Wanna bet Bethanne is a recent product of the progressive nature of educational leadership inspired by the smooth operator's nudges and winks?

Melinda Romanoff ramp

No workee on lumber, hit. And the lead breaks easily.

Jim Eagle

I worked with a lawyer once who use to throw pencils up to his suspended tile ceiling to watch them stick. He must have had a thousand up there. Such a waste of ordinance.

Like they said in Barcelona 'there isn't even a tradition' of course they didn't mean that about this facet of Eloi Academy;

Danube of Thought

Priceless tweet via Insty:

"Bill Ayers will claim The Company You Keep is just another bomb that hurt nobody."

Rick Ballard

Mel,

An assault pencil such as Hit's in a 3.2 caliber using 6B rounds is suitable for lumber. You can mark all day long without having to reload.

Dave (in MA)

OMG, a machine gun.

narciso

A virtual Gatling gun, Dave;

first they came for the pencils and I said nothing because I use pens ...

Danube of Thought

At time like these it is important to celebrate even the smallest victories. Here is one that can definitely be savored.

Janet

wonderful comments! So funny!

NK

OT-- well, at least the grasping fascistic EUCrats admit what their their scheme is now. Will ze Germans agree to pay for everything and still KowTow to BrussellsCrats? Heh... not likely: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/10041817/Federal-Europe-will-be-a-reality-in-a-few-years-says-Jose-Manuel-Barroso.html

Isn't the EU so deeply in debt that it is too big to fail?

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--I worked with a lawyer once who use to throw pencils up to his suspended tile ceiling to watch them stick. He must have had a thousand up there.--

Wonder if he ever had the point driven home to the back of his neck that might not be such a good idea while hunched over his desk working.

Jane

Why did the pencils stick?

Janet

they had a point.

Janet

"...They were careless people … they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made."

narciso

Whne they get the Ewok away from his nub nub, he gets ornery,

Rob Crawford

Narciso -- will no one tell Ace to never, ever speak about guns again? He's a bad-way moron on the subject, and entirely too interested in sucking the ass of the party elite.

Janet

Propaganda from the evil NPA ~

Jack is Back! (On his iPad)

He was actually leaning back in his chair when he threw them. Its a wonder he didn't put out an eye. Did I mentioned he was a Muslim from Jordan? Not that that matters, right?

Melinda Romanoff roadless travelled

New Nimoy/Quinto Audi ad is pretty funny.

Dana Gilber Ward

Oh so many jokes so little time.

THE "PENIS" MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD, is taught to kindergartners, using latex and bananas.

Bill Ayers claims his pencil was only used for PROPERTY DAMAGE.

narciso

Another type of madness, seen here;

Gus

Narciso, I read the Washington Post story on why the female C.I.A. officer was passed over.
Brennan is a hack, is the true reason. He's also a Muslim, and all of his/Obama's decisions have an angle toward making Muslims happy.
But I went to the WaPo messages on the story, and one lad, suggested we not use harsh interrogation methods, if we would object to the same methods being used against our people.
NAIVE is not a strong enough word for such idiots.

Jane

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - he must have had a good sharpener.

Occasionally it's not all madness;

George Ditter

"'A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made,' said Bethanne Bradshaw, a spokesperson for Suffolk Public Schools." At the end of the movies "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" speaking of naval aviators flying off on dangerous missions and facing the danger of landing on a carrier, the Admiral says "Where do find such men?" Well where do find someone like Bethanne Bradshaw?

Walter

You'll [poke] your eye your eye out!

Rob Crawford
Well where do find someone like Bethanne Bradshaw?

Wetting themselves in a corner?

Strawman Cometh

A few years ago the 14 yo son of a friend was pencil-poked in the eye by a female classmate that was goofing around. His vision recovered, but not all of the way.

DoT on iPad

John Bolton says Benghazi may bring this administration down. Maybe it's just me, but I think the expectations bar has been set awfully high. I would consider it a huge--and unexpected--triumph if it merely brought about Hillary's permanent retirement from public life.

I assume the hearings will be live on FNC. Do they start at nine EDT?

Gus

Did you hear the one about the constipated mathematician??

He worked it out with a pencil.

Gus

Well where do find someone like Bethanne Bradshaw?

On the Government/Taxpayer funded payroll.

Jane

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. The hearing begins at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Sheesh - are they all planning to sleep in?

Gus

"'A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made,'

Playing and threatening are 2 very different things.

Like intelligent and Bethanne Bradshaw are 2 very different things.

The 2 children were PLAYING, not ARGUING, the little one wasn't suggesting he was really going to harm the other child with his "gun noises".

Janet

I do too, Rob. Mine was a cootie shot! The one good thing is that I've never gotten cooties....so there's that.

James D.

What depresses me is, we all mock this idiocy, but it goes ever on. Bethanne Bradshaw is still in her job, being paid by the taxpayers of Suffolk County, VA, as are the other idiots (I'm being kind) who carry out these mindless, foolish, destructive policies.

Every day that these people are in their jobs is a travesty and, frankly, a crime.

Porchlight

Sheesh - are they all planning to sleep in?

The Repubs will be up. They have to wait for the Dems to roll in.

Rob Crawford
I do too, Rob. Mine was a cootie shot! The one good thing is that I've never gotten cooties....so there's that.

Mine came from me being a klutz.

Gus

James D. Bethanne Bradshaw is the best and brightest among the libtards in Suffolk County.
The taxpayers put their children in her care on a daily basis. And half of those parents or more are govt employees too.

All this talk about pencil vaccinations prompted me to look closely at my lower shin for the first time in many years.

Yep, still a dark smudge where Alan Cranfill, in the desk in front of me, plunged his newly sharpened No 2 in 7th grade while slashing at imaginary pirates or ninjas or somebody.

peter

I have a self inflicted accidental lead tattoo in my right thigh myself. From first grade.
