Via The Corner:
MSNBC host and Obama sycophant Chris Matthews blamed the sun for spoiling the president’s speech in Berlin today.
“I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined,” Matthews said immediately after the speech. “I think he was really struggling with the text there.”
I think Obama was distracted by the memory of the lives ruined by Bush's senseless wars, not to mention Bush's endless recession. Well, we all have excuses for The Once.
According to Chris, Barry and Angela are the new Ronnie and Maggie. Oh and Angela makes Hillary a shoe -in because she proves a woman can lead.
So now we see Hillary '16's theme: If you don't vote for me, you are sexist!

None of us question whether a woman can lead but nothing in Hill's background indicates she will lead. Such a fine job as SoS.
The other day I was reading about the current admin's explicit industrial policy in an official NRC report. It mentioned that the Clintons had also rolled out an industrial policy approach in 1993. Then complained about GW's tax policy approach instead.
I think we forget how losing the House in 94 derailed where those 2 were really going.
Posted by: rse | June 20, 2013 at 07:55 AM
Industrial policy is just the legal framework for cronyism. The Clintons were chasing MITI into oblivion, the JEF is chasing the Chinese to the same place.

It would be better entitled, in my view, "Why I am a conservative" but I understand he is talking about formal party identification and in that, he is completely correct in his history and what it is I would expect from the Republican Party, going forward.
Time well spent listening to Mr Guillory.

The JEF's "industrial policy" has us paying 40 cents per kWh to try and charge the dead battery in our Fisker cause the Solyndra solar panel on the garage roof was defective and so are the Chinese junk solar panels which replaced it.
The watermelons spend their days on their BOzophones and Facebooks bitching about the warranties and planning protests against the government for not doing a better job of "regulating" nonperformance.

In a sane world with an opposition party possessing a functioning cortex, Rodham's experience as SoS would be the end of the road for public office. She should be challenged to produce one example of success.

What stuns me is the sheer lase' attitude of this administration towards its sins. They really don't give a damn.
The chairman of AP is mumbling off in a corner that no one will talk to his reporters anymore. Holder has decided that the best policy at DoJ is smugness.
And in every single case to date the Administration response is to give the finger to the Legislative branch.
Over in Ireland, the President is once again meddling where he shouldn't be in religion of all things and in a way that demonstrates not only his tin ear, but his statist, amoral philosophy. Then he moves on to Berlin where he speaks like a stuttering idiot.
His wife demonstrates that she is a hobo and allows an inappropriately dressed child to be photographed by the world's press.
These people and bad in the original sense of the word. Arendt's description of the banality of evil fits perfectly.

Your comment about Holder and smugness describes his attitude to a "T". I think that sense of entitlement when you have over 160 congressmen asking you to resign is the height of hubris. Here's hoping the old adage"the bigger they think they are, the harder they fall" comes into play sooner rather than later.
Disgrace and embarassment are what I wish for him. A prison cell would be nice also butwe all know the pardon from preezy is being worked out as we speak. The pardon will come AFTER the midterms however.
