The professional race baiters are standing down in the Zimmerman trial? Or are we supposed to pretend they never stood up?

Funny, how when the bright light of racism is shined in their direction (creepy ass cracka, calling a non-black a n*gg*r) there is no race factor in this case. No, no, none at all. No siree.

There must be consequences for those who put Zimmerman through this. Nifong was disbarred. What can be done in Florida?
Posted by: MarkO | June 29, 2013 at 10:04 AM
If it wasn't about race what was the DOJ doing there stirring it up and why did the usual Shabazz-Sharpton-Jackson gang pimp it? Indeed, why were the LE officials involved overruled? I suspect the Martins and Crump are getting pressure from the Gov and Holder to tamp it down and know that they will lose all support if their actions and an acquittal lead to riots.
(Also Crump may be in trouble for his manipulating Dee Dee and lying about it.)

Ben Crump saying the Zimmerman prosecution is not about race is as accurate as saying that Anna Nicole Smith's relationship with J. Howard Marshall was not about money.

Reposting from previous thread. Reworking the narrative has begun:
Good morning
Looks like the new mantra on the left MSM's take on Zimmerman trial is that the prosecution may have overcharged. Both the Guardian and Jake Tapper are airing this opinion. I linked the Guardian piece below, not for the article itself which is the usual biased slant, but for the comments which show a surprising amount of support for Zimmerman.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jun/28/george-zimmerman-murder-trial-week-one
Also, apparently Crump and crew are saying this is not race based and when asked when they changed their minds about this, Crump said they never thought it was about race. He said that they always thought Zimmerman had criminally profiled Trayvon, not racially profiled him
Think these folks are setting up for not guilty verdict?

OT, but Sarah Palin at her best:
Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.
Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.
Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Posted by: bunkerbuster | June 29, 2013 at 10:50 AM
What does "criminally profiled" mean in the context of what Crump is now saying?
It's at best non-sensical and at worst an admission Saint Trayvon was casing the joint.
If it's a claim Zimmerman thought every young hoodlum regardless of race sneaking around in the rain and dark were probably criminals, it seems he was fairly prescient in suspecting the choom smoking, fight clubbing, in possession of stolen property, start hittin the cracka til he has to shoot you Saint Trayvon was just another two bit violent wannabe gangsta.

Well,, the trial isn't about race any more, but maybe is about homophobia on the part of Martin, then maybe the MSM and the left can recast this as a young homophobe physically attacking someone he views as possibly gay, knocking him down, and beating his head into the concrete, MMA style, all because of his homophobia. So, poor gay looking Zimmerman had to shoot the homophobic Martin to protect his life. Despite how far LGBT (etc.) rights have come, esp., after DOMA was struck down last week, we should look at how much further we still have to go in this country.
Something like that as the new Narrative, esp. if Zimmerman is acquitted, as many, if not most, here expect. Sure, the whiplash is going to be brutal for some on the left here, but that is what you get when you have a party based on identity party interests, and some of the identity parties have fundamental disagreements (e.g. that Blacks tend to be more anti-gay than almost any other demographic group).

Of course it's not about race, it's about carying a loaded gun and following children around dark secluded areas at nightime. It's about George, the unemployed loser son of a highly successful father going out at night and intentionally scaring the living shit out of a minor, hoping to solicit a response which will allow the fat ass to do what he intentionally set out to do, what he'd been itching to do for a long long time and that is to exercise the only power a man with no prospects and no income will ever know.
No civic minded, responsible person concerned about the safety and security of their community carries a loaded gun and follows people at night time.

Just wanted to pass this along. I was scanning across the radio stations last night on the road, and heard CBS New's trial digest. The only audio they played was the Mr. Good being asked 'At any time, did you see the person on the ground's head being slammed into the pavement or sidewalk?' Answer, no. Funny how CBS news editors are able to find the only bit of testimony that wasn't a total disaster for the prosecution.

Mediaite has video of Anderson Cooper interviewing Trayvon's stepmother, who raised him for 14+ years (from the age of 3).
Apparently, she has been shut out by the rest of the family and shoved to the background. But, AC found her and brought her before his cameras.
She never ever heard Trayvon use those words (cracka, etc). He loved children and she believed he would have found a career working with children. She does not think his death was racially motivated. However, she knows that Trayvon would never, ever have thrown the first punch or in any other way started the altercation with Zimmerman.
So sayeth the stepmother who "raised" him.
Posted by: centralcal | June 29, 2013 at 12:48 PM
ISTM Good's testimony that he was unable to see whether the blows actually landed is a big nothingburger. The best evidence that they landed is the photograph of Zimmerman's face taken by the police officer immediately after the "altercation".

You don't understand, Jim. While Martin was only pretending to beat on Z and flailing at the air, Z was punching himself in the nose and banging his own head against the concrete, because he knew that once he shot TM, he was going to need proof if he were going to claim self-defense. Z had this all planned out from the beginning, you see, from the minute he profiled him for walking while bla--er, while looking like a criminal. So he stalked TM and when TM turned around and confronted him for stalking while being a crazy-assed cracker and wanna-be rapist, Z threw himself on the ground, asked TM to crouch over him and throw fake punches while he beat himself up.
I don't know why you people don't get this. Really, it is so obvious even duda and bubu can see it.

Agree with Jim that the Good testimony that he didn't actually see Martin hitting Zimmerman is a not a blow to the defense. He saw from the back Martin's arm movements like he was repeatedly striking GF, but couldn't see his fists actually strike, because of his position. Yes, maybe he was pulling his punches at the last, as martial arts experts are taught to do, but is that likely? Esp. in view of GF's injuries? I think that the prosecution did what they had to there, in trying to minimize damages, but couldn't do much. The jury is likely, I think, to think just as we did here, that the prosecution is trying to make a distinction here that really doesn't matter.

Who would have tucked TM's hands under his dead body and why? Other than that, the reinactment would be very helpful to GZ imo.

I was here, living near Pasadena, when the Rodney King Riots broke out. In the old days, when television held sway. And, the rioting was spontaneous. Blacks (and others), headed to South Korean businesses at first. And, then just to access any malls they could.
It was 1991. The smell of gun smoke hung in the air. At first the South Korean business folk thought the cops would come. And, protect them. The cops didn't come. And, within 3 days ALL businesses learned to hire their own snipers (including from the Chinese mafia). When snipers arrived on the roofs of businesses the arrival of looters was stopped. Cars were put in reverse. And, the "party atmosphere" came to an end.
While over in the USSR, (not seeing the downside of showing this across Russia), viewers there lowered the volume on their TV sets. And, just watched as stores full of TVs and Refrigerators were raided. What caught every Soviet's attention? America had stores with so much goods on their shelves, there was merchandise, galore, to steal. While Russians had government stores with empty shelves. (Until those videos, Russians were led to believe that Americans had it worse.)
This time around? You know, you haven't seen any riots. It seems the Black community in Florida wasn't tempted. And, Al Sharpon and Jesse Jackson are outsiders. How come no riots got born on this upping the ante of a black killed killed in self defense, to this show trial?
Why is there an imaginary black riot on the horizon? Why isn't the truth obvious? Blacks and Hispanics in Florida are 2nd class citizens. "Throw aways." And, Zimmerman's big crime? At his bond hearing he didn't list the BIG money he was collecting from strangers who kept sending money in for him to defend himself. To the court, he reported his income. Not the unknown number dealing with financial assistance from strangers.
Instead of hanging Zimmerman, this case may add the cherry on top of our judicial system which looks way out of whack with reality. Whom can white people sue to get their reputations back?

One of the comments on that link (slightly modified by me): If McRINO had another son, he'd look like Rubio.

All I can say is if false advertising and bait and switch laws applied to politicians the voters of Florida would have a serious shot at qualifying for a class action suit.

According to GZ on the tape, at first he didn't think his shot had hit TM. But TM got off him and sat back down, whereupon Z got on top of him, holding him face down and with his arms outspread, continuing to yell for help. At that point he believed TM was still alive (and perhaps he was).

I learned a lot this week.
I learned that Ernie and Bert get it on.
I learned that being a fat disrepectful, dishonest, illiterate, 19 year old black woman just entering senior status in high school is the norm for Dee Dee's culture and that libs celebrate the richness of illiteracy.
I learned that the Republican party does not share the traditional values and belief in the rule of law that fly over Americans do.
And I learned that the GOP WILL NOT STAND UP TO the LIBTARD ONSLAUGHT for fear of being called racist.
I am so proud to have never joined the Republican Party. My State is bizarre. We have a new Senator that is GAY, and the guy who took her place in Congress is GAY too. Why are we CELEBRATING HOMOSEXUALITY. To me, it's akin to celebrating someone being born on a Tuesday. As a nation, those who celebrate homo's, do so, to make themselves feel morally superior and tolerant. THEY ARE NOT.

It is in the video, Clarice, and I agree with you that the prosecution is likely to put the reenactment into evidence. The only major discrepancy between GZ's reenactment tape and the evidence is the position of TM's arms. GZ says they were spread out and the evidence shows they were under TM's body. The prosecution has taken great pains to set this up, asking every witness to the crime scene whether they saw the position of TM's hands. In each instance the answer was under his body. Those questions were not made idly by the prosecution. Whether that helps them negate self defense beyond a reasonable doubt is the big question remaining in the trial as far as I am concerned, but I fear it will likely get them past any potential motions to dismiss on the grounds of self-defense after they put on their case.
The prosecution has lost murder 2, which IMO should be dismissed at the close of the prosecution's case. The facts make out a case of manslaughter. ISTM all that is in play now is self-defense.

Thanks for clarifying that, DoT.

Oh, I forgot!! CREEPY CRACKA ASS isn't racist.

Jim, didn't DoT's post just dash that? GZ said he spread the arms out while TM was face down and the medical examiner confirms that TM might well have still been alive then and for some minutes more. I don't see how the discrepancy would make it manslaughter in any event. If there was one it would suggest GZ was not truthful in his account and that lack of credibility would be a factor whatever the charge.

Jim, I've thought all during this trial that the Prosecution was purposely setting up MANSLAUGHTER. I believe the calculation was, that, prosecution will pretend to try to get White for Murder2, when they really seek a jury compromise, thereby getting the jury to make a wrongful but political decision. As someone said earlier, cutting the baby in half. The faux pas by the prosecution are way too obvious.

In other words, Jim, it's a hail Mary McGffin by the prosecutor.A little distraction in case there's a moron on the jury.
