Common sense prevails in the jury room, but will it prevail on the mean streets of Miami?

As a Floridian I have to say that these prosecutors and Angela Corey are going to go down. She will not be re-elected and according to Alan Dershowitz they should all be disbarred.
These people need to be indicted for malpractice and inciting riots.

I believe, I believe, I believe
Except...
The jury said they were wrong to believe that. But, hey, the persecutors have got a lot of respect for the jury - just evidently not their conclusion that the persecutors were mistaken in their beliefs and that the jury 'believed' differently.
Idiots.

After all the angst, that the jury did the right thing reassures a good deal about the essential good sense of most of the American people. A great relief for us all.

MOM thanking the Jury. Excellent job. Obviously very pleased for himself and for GZ.
West: The prosecution of GZ was disgraceful. As happy as he is for GZ I am thrilled that this Jury kept this tragedy from becomming a travesty. he is sad it took this long to finally get justice.

West hates corey's guts is obvious. Is great to hear him unload.

Q: Ye s or no Was this a fair fight for you?
MOM: I ned to apologize to every public defender in this state. I thought from what we went thru that the Prosecutors seemed to think they were treating us like a couple of rubes. They outfunded us. They made it enormously difficult for us to fight for evidence that they made us waste time for. It was a little David and Goliath, but we won.

Great to see the straightforward justified disgust and low esteem that they hold Corey and the Prosecution in.
Great to see the happiness and relief evident on the worn, exhausted faces of West and MOM.
Q: About Corey's office, will u persue the sanctions and (2) how will u address the civil aspect?
MOM: 1) Yes, we will persue sanctions and also will address the civil aspect. If anyone wants to sue GZ we will be a part of it, so this is not completel;y done yet.
Q" What is next for your client?
MOM: I don't know. If he could wave his wand he would like to get his life back. Now that the Jury said he acted properly, maybe that will help us understand how he felt and he can move along

Posted by: JIB | July 13, 2013 at 10:53 PM
Q: Would this have happened if GZ was black?
MOM: No. If GZ was black he never would have been charged with a crime. The SPD did a good job investigating this case. Unfortunately this became a focus of a Civil Rights e ent and GZ was used as the focus, but none of that was borne out by the facts. You know the facts; his mentoring, his being raised with black children, etc. If the people who made him the skapegoat had taken the time to find out about that first this never would have happened.

I wonder what novel theory paralleling RICO might manifest from the Zimmerman ordeal?
What civil options might Z have? The federally-organized malice and state withholding of evidence brought down upon Z smatters of an unconscionable criminal conspiracy that was just shown for what it was, the willful ruination of an innocent man by employees of the government.
We shouldn't blame government for employees gone rogue. Let's identify and purge the rogues. No doubt, there are cohorts aghast at what the did, ready to sing loudly.

West: It was a challenge. With Rachel, thru the tesimony that there were 4 minutes between when TM ran off and reappeared with GZ. As well it was challenging for her to answer questions. The interviews she gave were masde under very unuisual testimonies due accomadate the feelings of the groups who were interviewing her.
As to Dr Bai. Did you hear Dr Maio. We offer
Q: Was the Judge fair or unfair to you. Will this hurt race relations?
MOM: Nelson runs the courtroom very well. She needs to run a strict courtroom. I am ok with that.
MOM: I hope that it does not hurt race relations. Did it bring to the front that young Black males are treated a certain way by the Legal system Absolutely, but this verdict has nothing to do with the Civil Rights movement, and it would be a shame if it prevents the conversation from happening.

Missed the last few minutes, but overall it is worth commenting simply on the character and behavior exhibited between the Team of MOM and West answering questions, and the team of Corey, BDLR , Guy and Mantei.
West and MOM in their entire Press conference come across as totally admirable, worthy of great respect, decent, honorable, tho' righteously and justly grossly angry at the Trial, the Press, and the system that led to this.
By comparison, The Team of Corey and BDLR came across as petty, vindictive, dishonorable, disingenuous, ungracious in defeat, self protective, unserious, and worthy of scorn. I did not entirely catch all of Guy's and Mantei's few remarks so I will not correctly damn them with the disgust I have for Corey and BDLR, but the honor exhibited today in the 2 Press Conferences all resides on the side of Mark O'Meara and West.
And Yip, yip, Yippee, Yay! MOM, in a last answer to a walking off question, MOM just directly blamed the MEDIA for whipping this whole thing up and being grossly unfair to GZ. Who Hoo!
Now to read your guys comments.
What a wonderful development.

CNN is CLOWN SCHOOL, and I've been validatated. LIBTARDS do not think LOGICALLY at ALL. They are HERD ANIMALS and DISHONEST IDEOLOGUES. You cannot work WITH THEM, you can only beat them down.
And tonight, LOGIC beat down LIBERAL/RACE/IDEOLOGY.

"My position from the beginning was that any civilian who guns down an unarmed 17 year old not verifiably in the act of committing a felony should have to formally demonstrate that he acted in self-defense."
And as I told you from the very first day, your position was flatly contrary to the very plain law. You always were impervious to being educated about the burden of proof, you stupid shit. Perhaps you've learned something about it now, but I doubt it. And I couldn't care less. You lose, and you disgrace yourself in the process.

Great:(
Now the Black lady Geraldo is interviewing on his show is saying this is "the Injustice System", and more specifically she is blaming BDLR, saying BDLR is a great prosecutor when he is prosecuting young black men but apparently not when he is prosecuting no-black men.
So the new racist is BDLR.
Then Geraldo puts on Juan Williams and congrats him for a great column the other day ( the one where Juan said that GZ should have taken the ideal opportunity to testify, in order to clear up all this racial stereotype business). Moron speaking to moron.
Juan thinks the country has a sense of injustice tonight because a black child was killed. Juan says that the verdict may have been a technicality but that somehow it lacked heart.
Now Geraldo is going after Juan for Juan saying racial stuff that tarred Geraldo with part of the broad brush of racism.
Now Judge Jean is hammering the shit out of Juan Williams. Great.
Juan is still saying GZ got off essentially due to technicalities.
Geraldo is saying that he thinks Juan Williams is the smartest commenter on TV, but at the same time is saying he is an idiot for not believing that this whole thing went down because of Obama and his pushing racial Politics.
I sense Judge Jeanine is going to go nuclear again at Juan if Geraldo and Juan shut-up and let somebody else talk.
I have no idea how many brain cells I lost listening to that last segment of Geraldo Live. I am going out now with somebody of higher intellect---my puppy dogs. Bye.

When President Obama proclaimed that those who commit sexual assault in the military should be “prosecuted, stripped of their positions, court-martialed, fired, dishonorably discharged,” it had an effect he did not intend: muddying legal cases across the country.
