From the Times:
Grand Jury Decides Not to Charge Officer Who Fatally Shot Unarmed Youth in Bronx
Eighteen months after a police officer barged into a private residence and fatally shot an unarmed teenager in the bathroom of the home, the criminal case against the officer has collapsed with a grand jury’s decision to not bring charges in the case.
What kind of a world are we living in in which young men act like thugs and then experience grim consequences?
Narcotics officers had become suspicious of Mr. Graham as he walked through the Wakefield section of the Bronx with two friends. Officer Haste, 31, pursued the teenager, forcing his way into the apartment where Mr. Graham lived with his grandmother. The officer confronted him in the bathroom and shot him, after he mistakenly interpreted a gesture as Mr. Graham reaching for a gun, according to the officer’s account to the grand jury.
The resulting tensions in the community had been largely calmed after Officer Haste was initially indicted last year on manslaughter charges. But a judge dismissed the indictment in May, saying prosecutors had improperly precluded the grand jury from considering Officer Haste’s claim that he believed that Mr. Graham was armed, based on what he had heard fellow officers say over a police radio.
I feel strangely confident that the NYPD profiled this lad and marked him for death. At a minimium, NY state should promptly repeal their Stand Your Ground Law which led to this travesty. Or not...
"Forged what?"
The thing they flew to Hawaii to pick up.

JIB,
I'm not sure I can answer your question. To me the IRS scandal is the most important one, and she is the person breaking the most news.
She puts a lot of things together. We know that Lerner was in collusion with the FEC before Obama. We know what Anita Dunn's husband Bob Bauer wrote the memos against True the Vote. We know that by 2012 most everyone knew Schulman lied under oath and no one said a thing. We know that the Obama campaign targeted Crossroads and True the Vote.
That's all I recall at the moment.

I like Summers better than most. He has some common sense.God forbid this Administration have any of that.
Today's UK press is reporting a discussion withing the Bank of England of devaluing the Pound to make the country's exports more competitive.
We have devalued our currency. The Japanese have done so, and Europe has done so. We are already engaged in currency wars. The Koreans, Taiwanese, and Chinese shamelessly devalue and revalue their currencies.
The markets are on edge because Bernanke will surely end QE XIV (sounds like the Super Bowl). At this point we all fall down.
Interest rates on RE are already climbing and the stock markets have been artificially pumped as investors seek some growth, much of it through stock price inflation.
Balloons always eventually pop or slowly lose their contents.

Ranger,
It's interesting to look at the Egyptian/Israeli cooperation in terms of fulfillment of mutual interests. Egypt needs gas and grain, Israel needs peace in order to fully develop its gas and oil discoveries, Russia would like to maintain the Gazprom premium for NG delivered to the idiotic Eutopians.
Killing Islamists is not just good sport, it's also a means to a healthier economic environment for the three main players. Blocking the proposed Syrian pipeline is another factor, as is a nice Russian naval base on Cypress.
