Danube Of Thought

ThreadKiller's theories give me hairballs.

daddy

I left my job over a computer-desktop hoodie
A Rodeo Clown left his job over a Clown Barrel routine.

A year and a half ago, a news story exploded out of Sanford, Fla.
A week and a day ago, a news story exploded out of the Missouri State Rodeo.

As captivating as this story was, with controversial elements touching on a range of issues from vigilantism to gun control, the component of race kept the conversation largely private.
As banal and run of the mill as this story was, the component of race kept the Rodeo Clown conversation entirely public.

Last month, when a jury found Zimmerman not guilty in Martin’s death, it wasn’t the end of the story.
Last week, when the Rodeo Clown was banned for life and ordered to Racial Insensitivity training, it wasn't the end of the story.

At the end of the week, President Obama went into the White House press room and made history. He said that Martin could have been him. As the only president we’ve had who could say such a thing...
At the end of the week, President Obama went on vacation to Martha's Vineyard and made history by ordering his dog flown up in a separate airplane. He did not say that the Rodeo Clown was simply playing the same joke that Rodeo Clown's had been playing on Presidents and Politicians for years which he should have said since it is the truth. As the only President at the time who could have said something positive to enhance Race Relations and defuse this nonsense he choose instead to say absolutely nothing and let this media fabricated racist incident continue to fester at the expense of the nation and the Rodeo Clown.

I needed to do something.
I needed to do something.

I went to my job at a small doctor’s office and made my computer desktop wallpaper (which was not viewable to the public) an image of a hoodie.
I posted this picture of a Black Rodeo Clown in a Hillary Clinton Mask (which the MSM has diligently avoided making viewable to the public---it's not on ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC,NPR, the NYTimes, The Washington Post, The LA Times, etc)

my boss called me into his office. Apparently, during the two weeks since I had selected the hoodie image for my computer desktop, some of my co-workers had complained. They felt that this image, which could be seen only when I logged in or minimized all the windows open on my screen, was inappropriate. My boss, looking distressed, told me that I had to change it.
I don't generally hang out with people who sweat the small stuff, nor do I try to intentionally antagonize co-workers, politically or otherwise. Instead I try to be personally positive about race relations which is why I shot the breeze at 3 am in Indianapolis last week with some rappers from the Rap Group Rich Gang.

So, I went to my computer and composed a letter of resignation. It would be the last document I would ever complete at my workplace of six years. It wasn’t easy...
So, I did not write a letter to the Washington Post about my complaints about the President lacking the guts to comment on the racial injustice done to this Rodeo Clown, because my narrative of actual racist injustice practiced against this Rodeo Clown does not fit the Duke LaCrosse/White Hispanic divisive style racial narratives so eagerly pushed by President Obama, the Washington Post, or the MSM.

"I posted this picture of a Black Rodeo Clown in a Hillary Clinton Mask (which the MSM has diligently avoided making viewable to the public---it's not on ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC,NPR"

There is a natural order to comedy and those that try to upend it do not fair well. For something to be deemed "funny" there has to be a significant change in status. It's funny when a victim makes fun of their aggressor because there's a change in status. But it's ugly when an aggressor makes fun of their victim, because it's ultimately a continuation of how things already are..... And that's kind of depressing. See...no comedy...just depression.....

Chaplain kicking the rich guy in the pants is a significant status change, but the rich guy kicking the tramp in the pants isn't because he does that every single day.

Demeaning black people isn't funny because we've been demeaning them for hundreds of years...... It's simply a continuation of how things are..... Could you people be any more comedy tone deaf?????

Nice job Clarice. And in answer to your question: No, no one on Capital Hill is paying attention.

Clarice

Thanks, Jane. Mark Levin is pushing for emphasis on rebellion in the state level. I hope that helps, but while impeaching Obama may be off the table, what about Holder or Sibelius? What about the NRC members who flout the law? The EEOC which was laughed out of court for claiming background checks of employers are racist?

Jane -May2014 Be there or Be Square

The problem is the republicans are simply too scared. We need more young bucks. As one of them said recently (I forget who) at this point it's not about re-election but rather the loss of the republic.

The rumbles are still too quiet for me.

Captain Hate on an iPhone

I know it's asking too much to expect TM to run the ignorant trolls who just sit there like a turd on a Persian rug, but could we at least have a new thread, even if just an open one?

I'm wondering which of the Vichy Repukes will be trotted out to the gab shows and pretend to act like they're part of an opposition party.

Clarice, Enjoyed your Pieces as always. You make complicated issues so clear.

Maybee

Obama is President of the United States, the most powerful man in the world. He is no more representative of black people than George HW Bush is representative of white people.

Making fun of Obama is making fun of Obama and power. That's it. If you see him as some powerless black man, that's on you.

You don't need to wonder Capn. No worries, McCain is all over the place and Egypt is barely on the radar.

Hey Maybee!

McCain on one hand, Peter King on the other, there is some pushback with Paul and Amash, but not much. Ray Kelley is sensible on balance, so uneligible to actually run in NYC.

I was hoping Priebus would set slattered on FNS although watching that dumbass liar Blumenthal should provide some low comedy.

I don't know how to reference a comment on Clarice's America Thinker article today but I urge all to look for the comment by:

"Infidel51 • 5 hours ago
Mister 0bozo does not fear the courts or the congress or the senate"

He very clearly outlines what the Obama regime has done to the US military. Where as once the US military stood for protecting the US of America, IMO, the Obama regime has turned it into nothing but a diversity photo-op.

henry

Janet & James D.... your local government gets a little spotlight. The police hq, not the trolley.

Conrad Black on Diana West. I agree with his general assessment but he's a bit over the top with his hagiography of FDR. The FDR administrations were chock full of Commierot and his lawlessness anticipated Clarice's elucidation of the BOzo Administration by 80 years. FDR, as President for Life, had very good reason to attempt court packing as he stumbled from failure to failure until he "saved" himself by choking off Japan's oil.

Jane -May2014 Be there or Be Square

Wow! Martha Radditz admits Obama has no plan in Egypt and had no plan in Syria and both lead to horrible results. Of course she didn't utter Barry's name, but it was still pretty clear.

Janet --- -... .- -- .- ... ..- -.-. -.- ...

yeah...thanks, henry. I just linked that on FB -
Wow. This should be a must-read article for citizens of Arlington. Million dollar bus stop, dog park, the streetcar....Chris Zimmerman getting consulting money...
How can we not demand more outside accountability?

narciso

Yes, the Court packing scheme, and the bureacratic politicking created the revolt of '38, as the Southern Democrats displaced some of the more fervent New Dealers from committee chair. which finally started to turn the Administration from their left wing assault on

Captain Hate on an iPhone

The ME is a disaster under the JEF; even the MFM has to admit that which should make shilling for Rodham problematic.

Doesn't it seem like there are too many major problems under President Constant Vacation to be adequately discussed on the gab show?

Rick, the worship of FDR is easily as over the top as that for the JEF.

Janet --- -... .- -- .- ... ..- -.-. -.- ...

Here's the comment -
Infidel51

Mister 0bozo does not fear the courts or the congress or the senate. He doesnt fear the consequences of his lazy and incompetent foriegn policy. It would appear that he might fear a loss of elections by his party in the next two years but I dont believe even that worries him much. I do believe he is afraid of two things very much though. Judging by his behavior I would say he is afraid of the military and he is also afraid of us.
He has feminized the military by allowing women into nearly all combat roles and allowing gays to openly be, well gay. He has attacked the institution most in tune with the traditional values of military men by scrubbing Christianity from the service. He has insulted military sensibilities at every turn by for instance failing to recognize Chris Kyles murder and allowing Nidal Hassans cowardly act to be referred to as workplace violence (that boils my blood as I write it). He forced our military to abandon their own on the field of battle and has failed to recognize their sacrifices unless it serves his narcissistic one man kabuki theater. I believe he is trying to drive dedicated soldiers out of the service by making their existence as miserable as possible. All that will remain is a shadow force of brown nosers and PC nazis who will follow whatever absurd or traitorous instructions they are given.
His biggest fear is reserved for you and me. By his actions he shows his contempt and fear of us. He shows it with disgusting and illegal spying by the NSA and the targeting of our organizations and benefactors by the IRS. His fear was on full display when he showed his childish anger at failing to disarm us through legislation. You can feel the fear in his and his minions desperate lies about every detail of the campaigns to keep us quiet and to keep us disorganized. Most of all you can see the fear in 1 billion rounds of hollow point ammo, the 7400 M4s, the MRAPs, and the creation of a domestic army to use them. That army is meant for us because there is no other explanation that makes sense.
I say that his two fears may be very well founded indeed.

Extraneus

I think I finally get the Vizzini reference!

One thing that was curious, is that it was the Crays, the famous Piranha bros, were the big influence in that era, not the Cosa Nostra, that came later, but I guess it was just a symbol of the dysfunction of the era, typified by the 'Dead Parrot sketch'

Clarice gets a big (and well deserved) shout out at MOTUS this morning (linking to today's Pieces).

When you think of all the cumulative crap we have suffered under Obama and his minions, it can get quite depressing. When you don't see the (figurative) calvary on the horizon, riding to the rescue, it is ominously demoralizing.

I am so fed up with the Republican "party."

Ignatz

""--My point is that the very first congress, while the ink was not yet dry on the constitution, thought it had that power...--""

Well, the fifth congress thought it could give the president power to expel any aliens, legal or otherwise, he saw fit to and and that it had the power to make it a crime to defame or bring into disrepute the government or the president.
Each branch tends to think it has more power than it does.

Captain Hate on an iPhone

I was just about to write something like that, henry; plus his speaking style is extremely irritating. Am I the only person that thinks this NSA stuff is a false flag operation to draw attention from other more damaging topics?

Ignatz

Congress has routinely overstepped its authority all over the place and gotten away with it. That doesn't mean it was ever granted that authority by the constitution.

If you're making the 'it has whatever powers it can get away with' argument then it's not only hard to argue with that, it's kind of pointless because then any legal argument is largely moot, but it is not responsive to the question of whether getting away with it is legal or a constitutionally granted power.

Ignatz

""--The analytical error creeps in when critics conclude that "natualization" means only that process whereby persons who are not born citizens can become citizens.--""

Pretty sure that is what it means;

nat·u·ral·ize
[nach-er-uh-lahyz, nach-ruh-] verb, nat·u·ral·ized, nat·u·ral·iz·ing.
verb (used with object)
1.
to confer upon (an alien) the rights and privileges of a citizen.

Captain Hate on an iPhone

Peter King slattered the JEF for being AWOL on defending his program with the NSA.

Ignatz

Those last three were originally one comment but delightful typepad forced me to separate my powers.

Conrad Black has been defending FDR as a saint since at least his book length hagiography of the chump years ago.

Captain Hate on an iPhone

Thanks, rse; he's a former utility executive? Don't get me started on that topic; it certainly puts his gutless performance in the Zimmerman case in perspective. How can a utility exec be a Tea Party candidate? Talk about no vetting.

No. he's a health care executive, part of the same genus, if not species;

Oops I see that I read that incorrectly. Never mind.

Tom Ayers was a utility executive.

"Each branch tends to think it has more power than it does."

And the power asserted by each remains until the Supreme Court says otherwise. It has never done so with respect to the power exercised by the congress in the 1790 Act.
