Obama needs to invent better excuses:
(Reuters) - The United States may have bugged Angela Merkel's phone for more than 10 years, according to a news report on Saturday that also said President Barack Obama told the German leader he would have stopped it happening had he known about it.
Next time Obama should go with "Bo ate my NSA report."
Seriously, dude, tell better lies. Or in this case, might try the truth: "of course we spy on you, just like you spy on us . . . we're just better at it."
[Or at least we were better.]

Bill in Az put this up in Noonan Thread, but IMO, it needs to be here.
"From a John Fund article linked at American Thinker - ValJar:
“I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. . . . He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability — the extraordinary, uncanny ability — to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. . . . So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. . . . He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.”
Unbelievable that anyone believes this.

He seems to spend most of his time with campaign-style speeches, fundraising parties and speeches, hobnobbing with celebrities of the dim bulb variety, and private time with Reggie. Oh, and golf (which I think is an excuse for Reggie, choom, and smoking.)
I think he is really a very ignorant and stupid guy who has learned a few buzzwords and phrases to give the impression of intelligence.

I am positive that Obama didn't know specifically that we were doing this, what's appalling is that he doesn't have the sense to just shut the fuck up about it. He is saying things he has no ability to stop. Yes, we spy on everyone, yes it will continue.
The government is a collaborative enterprise, one guy, one poorly educated man, isn't the whole thing, and considering the generations of plausible deniability built into the system, the President isn't supposed to know specifically about some of these things. For him to come out and say such profoundly ignorant things, shows that he doesn't really understand how the government works.

Joel Kotkin:
"Historically, progressives were seen as partisans for the people, eager to help the working and middle classes achieve upward mobility even at expense of the ultrarich. But in California, and much of the country, progressivism has morphed into a political movement that, more often than not, effectively squelches the aspirations of the majority, in large part to serve the interests of the wealthiest.
"Primarily, this modern-day program of class warfare is carried out under the banner of green politics. The environmental movement has always been primarily dominated by the wealthy, and overwhelmingly white, donors and activists. But in the past, early progressives focused on such useful things as public parks and open space that enhance the lives of the middle and working classes. Today, green politics seem to be focused primarily on making life worse for these same people."

Narciso,
We need to generate a lexicon based upon the pathetic performance of the fascists heading Blue GovIns.
I propose "deficient" as a description of the current plan with which you are well satisfied and "transition" as cancellation of that plan so that you are forced into the extortion process.
The "transition" process is currently affecting 500,000 purchasers of "deficient" plans in California. That suggests that the total affected in the US will be north of 5,000,000 policies with 12,000,000 people directly affected. One might wonder how many of those affected will be willing to lie back and think of Stalin as the fascists have their way.

"Very interesting discussion today on CBS about the mob killing JFK."
There is substantial evidence of this. One may find it unpersuasive, but it exists, including at least one admission from a mob boss. RFK thought it was the mob. The Warren Commission was designed to put an end to speculation that the Soviets did it. From the outset, the conclusions were fixed. For this you can find a conversation between LBJ and Earl Warren.
It was, after all, a mob connected man who killed Oswald "out of love for Jackie and the kids."

The O-care website is visible proof that politically to save face Preezy and company made the erroneus decisuion to go full speed ahead to thwart the repubs and have a counter-argument to the defund and delay strategy. They strongarmed it through just like they did the original bill though both were not ready or finshed to be effective. It was based on pride and on as Evan Bayh said"you don't want to see the smile of satisfaction on the republicans face if we fail." Well they have failed. Pushing this through is their "Waterloo". Fred Barnes says in the Weekly Standard that this is the beginning of the end for Obama's presidency. I hope he is correct as any further policies by him are doomed to failure.Cruz has seen the error of his ways in teaming up with McCain, Miss Lindsey and SHumer. Comprehensive bill on immigration is dead in the water. Grand bargain is non-existent. We just have to muddle through and save our money for the next three years until this doofus is out of office.
