Toasted JOM at the outset.

Cheers, Danube. Happy Birthday, Sir!

So glad you had a great time, DoT.

I dunno beasts, might require some additional research by the standards committee. And by standards committee I mean bicycle enthusiasts. ;)

Gotta document the proficiency of your claim. I recommend further research in DC.

That dress has more layers than his Birth Cert.

Stephanie VIP shhhhh its fight club

She is so typical of progs having to have whatever is trending (50s retro full skirts are back in this spring) regardless of whether it works. Applies equally to policy and fashion.

A classic style would suit much better and has a proven elegance, but then it's not trendy. Kinda like socialism v capitalism which is old white guy's outdated ideas.

God how I miss the Birther Report. I really mean it.

Best steak I ever had was at the Ponderosa steakhouse in Tucson, and I've been to several Ruth's Chrisses and some of the other expensive ones, including one in Japan where they bring out a tray of Kobe slabs from which to choose and give you a copy of the meal's birth certificate, complete with nose-print and family tree, to read while they cook it.

Mad jack, you have my sympathies, but I know you can make it through, having sat through both JEF and Holder spewing lies to the innocent as they sent them off into the world to be their beasts of burden. You don't have to applaud anything. There will plenty of parents sitting near you of like mind-especially if you ask your grad whose parents you should/ should not sit with.

Cathy f--love that band! Thanks.

Steph, rse--still have power? Looks like they are right this week and we are going to get snow, not ice here. Radar showing ice for you.

Clarice,

Dave Camp is trying to pass legislation that says the same thing, but will Harry Reid allow a vote? And why wouldn't they just keep doing it because by the time it gets through the courts every tea partyer will be in jail.

Captain Hate

Thanks for that link, Clarice; and that's the appeals court that the JEF packed with the assistance of Reid canning the filibuster rule, no?

Good morning, all.

Yeah MM, even weeks of waking to sub-zero temps is better than an ice storm. I will not temper my joy at the heat wave (to the mid 20s!) that I face starting today. Ayotte has turned to be a serious dissapointment 'trust deficit' re Levin's commentary,

Miss Marple

pagar, We need to be hearig this question asked of all the climate change hoazers:

Why do you want to freeze and starve poor people?

Our problem is that most of our people in Congress and our political consultants do not have the skill of blunt talk. The phrase I used boils it all down. Higher energy prices hurt the poor. In some cases to the point of death. We already have stories of homeless freezing on the streets, a woman freezing in her trailer on one of the Indian reservations, on and on.

So, why do they want to freeze and starve poor people?

narciso

Well Luntz's dunces would be all confuddled, this is just the natural way of things,

Captain Hate

Ayotte has turned to be a serious dissapointment 'trust deficit' re Levin's commentary,

We should have known about Ayotte when she immediately started hanging out with Graham and McCain.

modestly so. the blueprint Colorado model has been used to some effect in NH and VA. Obama carried the state in '12 (and think in '08 but to lazy this morning to check).

Captain Hate

A fellow moron pointed out, I'm not sure how accurately, that whatever donk was running to replace Filner as mayor of San Diego had the JEF campaign for him and the race went from a tossup to him losing in a landslide.

November can't come soon enough.

Captain Hate

rich, I'm starting to think of Virginia as South Maryland and forget all this purple state nonsense. Governor McAwful; are you effing kidding me?

James D.

MM, narciso, I agree completely!

Our side never wants to "scare the muddle" or confirm the media-created and reinforced image of conservatives as mean, heartless, etc.

But the reason that image exists at all is because the other side (and the MSM) call us liars, say we want to starve poor people, we're racist, sexist, etc etc.

They use blunt language in the service of lies, to paint conservatives as something we're not.

Our side refuses to use blunt language in the service of truth, to paint leftists as precisely what they are.

Extraneus

October 25, 2010:

A tea party group's endorsement of Kelly Ayotte is at odds with the moderate image the GOP sought for her.

The tea-party-affiliated FreedomWorks PAC continued its rollout of midterm endorsements today with an announcement of support for New Hampshire Republican Kelly Ayotte in her Senate race. With just more than a week to go before voters take to the polls, Ayotte’s nod from the insurgent conservative movement spotlights the elephant in the room that the GOP will soon have to face.

Originally, some elements of the tea party movement didn't want her. Last month, Ayotte narrowly defeated Ovide Lamontagne in a GOP primary that split two top leaders of the grassroots conservative movement. Sarah Palin backed Ayotte, while Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., supported Lamontagne.

Now, Ayotte’s candidacy is the rope getting pulled from both sides of this Republican tug-of-war.

While the Washington GOP establishment is reportedly courting Ayotte as the “younger, dynamic female senator” emblematic of their new moderate façade, she's apparently seeking the tea party's seal of approval.

"We only get into races when we are asked,” said FreedomWorks spokesman Adam Brandon, indicating that Ayotte sought out the group's support.

James D.

VA is pretty much a blue state now I think, thanks to the huge influence (and constantly increasing numbers) of gov't employees and contractors.

Another problem for conservatives is that people leave Blue Hells and contaminate neighboring reddish states, whereas residents of red states are happy to stay where they are. Of course being more conservative than MA is like being smarter than Joe Biden.

So raise your hand if this comes as a surprise: the Communist Mayor of NYC is a corrupt liar with no regard for the rule of law:

A politically connected Brooklyn pastor was arrested for a pair of open warrants — but was spared a night in jail after Mayor de Blasio called an NYPD boss to inquire about his close pal.

Hours later, Bishop Orlando Findlayter was yukking it up with Hizzoner at the head table at a Bed-Stuy breakfast Tuesday with guest speaker Rev. Al Sharpton and 200 other pastors.

That hissing sound you are hearing this morning? Why its nothing, just the collective sound of Democrat officeholders peaing their pants over this:

Kevin Faulkoner recaptured the mayor’s office in San Diego for Republicans in a special election yesterday. The polls were skin-tight leading into yesterday’s election, and unions poured in millions to keep control in the nation’s eighth-largest city.

But in the end the vaunted Obama election model — flood the zone with negative attack ads and excite the base of the Democratic party — flopped. Faulkoner defeated fellow City Council member David Alvarez by nine points in a city that Barack Obama carried by 63 percent to 37 percent only 15 months ago.

Democrats were stunned at the margin. In the November open primary, Democrats had won 54 percent of the ballots cast and were convinced they could win the runoff between Faulkoner and Alvarez. Unions pitched in a record $4.2 million to promote Alvarez, compared to only $1.7 million from business interests backing Faulkoner.

Note Obama margin and huge union expenditures and its still a blow out. HMMMMMM
