--Any ideas on where this is going?--
Putin will go as far as he wants in order to serve what he perceives as Russia's best self-interest, and the rest of the world will live with whatever that may be.
What worries me more is what could happen in the next three years, now that every thug country out there, many with insane leadership, has been exposed to the full pathetic weakness of our President Mom Jeans. Will China decide to take over Taiwan, or even attack Japan? Will North Korean troops pour across the demilitarized zone? Will Iran nuke Israel? At some point some country could cross a real red line that the world has drawn, and we could suddenly find ourselves in WWIII. It is what happens when there is a power vacuum and the "leader of the free world" is a sociopathic, malignant narcissist and coward who has been caught in the corner playing with his marbles.

Russia test-fires ICBM amid tension over Ukraine
MOSCOW, March 4 (Reuters) - Russia said it had successfully test-fired an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on Tuesday, with tensions high over its seizure of control in the Crimea and its threat to send more forces to its neighbour Ukraine.
The Strategic Rocket Forces launched an RS-12M Topol missile from the southerly Astrakhan region near the Caspian Sea and the dummy warhead hit its target at a proving ground in Kazakhstan, the state-run news agency RIA cited Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Yegorov as saying.

Althouse whines that Palin is 'gender-bullying' Obama. Have the dems pivoted to the Republican War on Men? How truly sad that the reflexive left just can't admit to the fecklessness of Dear Barry.
Other than defeating the Clinton political machine and very smartly selecting Biden as his VP, I can't name one single positive accomplishment by this racist fool. The worst president in America's history. As his already thin skin sheds completely off, I fear the next three years will be totally unbearable for decent Americans. Yikes.
Posted by: Beasts of England | March 04, 2014 at 03:22 PM
What will Obama do now that Putin has once again twisted his tail with an inconvenient missile launch?
The good news is that probably 1/2 of the Russian missile fleet will either blow up in their silos, be shot down, or land somewhere where they were not aimed. Then again, if they use our GPS satellites I may be mistaken. Their rocket scientists are smart, but the hardware sucks.
Of course they will be opposed by a missile force that has been criminally diminished and has not been modernized in 25 years and with a coward of a president who wouldn't use them anyway.
He wanted to end nuclear war, of course. Instead he had made it more likely. But the Union of Concerned Scientists will only move the clock back to 11:59 if a Republican is president.
Saudi is seeking the Bomb and the Israelis must feel completely abused at this point as Iran recently tested a long range missile capable of having a warhead mounted on it.
MAD and an American commitment to peace through strength kept the world safe for 50 years. Now we have GLAAD instead.

Underwood knows there's a complex tie between

Our teams has them scared now:
Times of Israel quoting an Iranian General:
"The low-IQ US president and his country’s Secretary of State John Kerry speak of the effectiveness of ‘the US options on the table’ on Iran while this phrase is mocked at and has become a joke among the Iranian nation, especially the children,” General Masoud Jazayeri said, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.
Jazayeri was responding to the US president’s interview in Bloomberg on Sunday, in which Obama maintained that the Iranian leadership should take his “all options on the table” stance — including the warning of a potential military strike — seriously.
“We have a high degree of confidence that when they look at 35,000 US military personnel in the region that are engaged in constant training exercises under the direction of a president who already has shown himself willing to take military action in the past, that they should take my statements seriously,” the president told Bloomberg.
Jazayeri called Obama’s statements regarding the deployment of US troops “completely inexpert remarks far from the reality, and these statements can be used as the joke of the year.”

Just received an email from a division president of a rather large aerospace company that I'm currently consulting to in the midst of a half-billion dollar proposal. The capture manager (CM) for the effort failed to deliver his product on Friday. What he delivered Sunday evening was not much better. With a 24-hour reprieve, the CM regressed in his latest effort last night. Simply unreal.
The colorful language used by said president on our telecon a few hours ago directed towards the CM underscored my earlier prediction that the CM would be fired before the close of business today. The email confirmed it.
Not to worry, the economy's humming along and I'm sure the CM will have lots of opportunities to showcase his ineptitude. Perhaps something with the federal gubmint? Obamacare contractor?

DoT,
A good friend of ours and fellow member at our club is the ex-CEO of Chevron Gas. A few months back he and I were discussing the Ecuador claim and he said that the tough stance by Chevron was because of their General Counsel who convinced management and the board if they didn't fight this with every tool then they would be subject to constant legal claims. I think its a lesson for every major or even minor business. If you feel wronged then you have to fight to the death.

Or, it might have been the truth because Putin hired the snipers.
Seems like this death would be awfully convenient to Putin, though.
