On the future of the ObamaCare debate:
Our guess is that the debate over whether the debate over ObamaCare is over will be over on Nov. 5.
Can't argue with that.

To me the best analogy to Obamacare is like taking a 15 year old Hyundai that really needs service (our health care system)and removing the exhaust pipe, and then the alternator, and then the accelerator pedal, and then the brake hoses, and then the brake pads and still expecting the car to run.
But the Hyundai has spinners and $3,000 dollar rims, so it's all cool for the Left.

The Hill tells you the crowing is pretty damn muted, and cant we just talk about something else? Get a load of the BS Rep Cleaver is shoveling too:
while a handful of Senate Democrats staged a Tuesday press briefing to cheer Obama-Care enrollment, there were, notably, no vulnerable Democrats in attendance.
Their desire to shift the emphasis, even after a week of good press is, at least in part, a concession that the healthcare law remains a liability for Democrats, particularly in swing areas they’re hoping to pick up in the House and keep in the Senate.
And it’s a political liability some members readily acknowledge, even as they’re defending the law’s underlying policies and touting its benefits.
“When you consider that the ACA has been trashed for four years, and people have been led to believe there are really death panels, and you’re going to end up with rationed healthcare, a substantial portion of the American public still believes that stuff,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said Wednesday. “Our goal is to win the election.”

Don't look now but Franken may have to go back to stealing from the Boys and Girls Clubs:
a new poll of Minnesota likely voters commissioned by American Encore and conducted by Magellan Strategies:
Only 41 percent of respondents had a favorable view of Sen. Franken, while 45 percent had an unfavorable view of him. Only 44 percent approve of the job he is doing.
• 54% of respondents disapprove of the Affordable Care Act, and only 38% approve.
• Only 40% of respondents think Al Franken deserves re-election.
Obviously, Minnesota is not easy territory for Republicans, and very few folks had this race on even the broadest target list for 2014. But maybe he’s not quite good enough, not quite smart enough, and doggone it, people just don’t like him enough.
40% reelect for an incumbent is horrible...

And we now know the 7 million is absolute lying by a serial liar:
One of the biggest players in Obamacare's exchanges says 15 to 20 percent of its new customers aren't paying their first premium—which means they're not actually covered.
The latest data come from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, whose members—known collectively as "Blues" plans—are participating in the exchanges in almost every state. Roughly 80 to 85 percent of people who selected a Blues plan through the exchanges went on to pay their first month's premium, a BCBSA spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Wait at least 4 hours or until you are fully awake before you do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.
Some people using this medicine have engaged in activity such as driving, eating, or making phone calls and later having no memory of the activity. If this happens to you, stop taking Ambien and talk with your doctor about another treatment for your sleep disorder."

One thing to remember about the Franken election in 2008 is that an Independence Party candidate, Dean Barkley, won 15 percent of the vote.
The final official vote totals were:
Franken - 1,212,629
Coleman - 1,212,317
Barkley - 437,505
(I don't know how Barkley's supporters would have voted, if he were not in the race.)

And let's remember that some unknown portion of the 7.1 million aren't customers of any insurance company at all. Why? Because all they did was place a plan in their Healthcare.gov shopping cart. That's it. They're not enrolled in anything at all. Insurers have never even heard from these people.

Ex- thanks for the links. Taranto--as usual-- was tremendously informative and well written. Taranto includes this quote from Breyer: "Accordingly, the First Amendment advances not only the individual's right to engage in political speech, but also the public's interest in preserving a democratic order in which collective speech matters."
Breyer is not advocating no individual 1st amendment right to political speech, instead he advocats an additional collective right, which can come in conflict with individual excercise... and we all know where Breyer comes out when such a conflict (in his view arises. Breyer exposes himself as a statist, but he does not challenge the individual's right to political sppech. He does make it conditional. Bad enough, but it doesn't allow us to say that the dissent votes that the 1st amendment is not an individual right.

On or about April 23, WellPoint will publish their 10Q and provide comparative information on numbers covered from which reasonable estimates can be inferred regarding market total coverage. There will be blather from all sides until that date but the accuracy of WellPoint's report will be governed by securities law rather than political whim. (WellPoint is BluGovIns in a number of major markets and their premium increase requests in May/June will reflect the average market impact. They may run a little high due to having the Sodomcisco, Gomorangeles and Mansluttan AIDS volunteers in their Invincible bracket.)

Fun Fact-- 35+ years ago it was my wife and my first official 'date'. Saturday night at the Smithtown Theater. We sat in the second row; stoners were in the first row. While I was laughing hysterically at some politically incorrect moment, stoner in front row turns to my 'date' and says 'your boyfriend is a pervert'.
