What was Miss M up to in Madison? U Wisconsin Hospital ends union contracts. The article blamed Walker and quoted a bunch of disappointed union folk. The reality is the union couldn't find 51% of the hospital workers to vote for it. 5,000 fewer dues payers for the SEIU.
"One witness was given the choice of receiving immunity to testify against Miller, or be charged as an accessory. Another witness, an Afghan interpreter, was paid $630 per month and given a visa to live in the U.S. in exchange for his testimony against Miller."
I'm positive that the choice of being given immunity versus getting charged as an
accessory to murder will get a different slant on testimony given in most cases.
I'm pretty sure that a visa to live in the US would be a powerful incentive to get any story you wanted from most Afghans.

The Man Who Corrupted Hadleyberg. Like Hadleyberg, you guys have experienced the reality of the corruption of the Left up close with your massive Unions, so they can't pull the wool over every bodies eyes again, whereas unfortunately in places like my State we are still naively optimistic in slogans of the ability of the collective to deliver Utopia.
We need to be corrupted a little more publicly up here---either that, or shut down our border to incoming Voters from California.
Daddy, those comments make me more certain Walker will win big in Nov despite the union / MSM / OFA lies (or whatever they call themselves today). It would be fun, and "not fit for news" around here if the SC ruled Walker's end of forced govt unionism was constitutionally required in Harris v Quinn.
In Cambridge England tonight the bookstores are closed, but I have not seen any sign of Hillary's book In the store windows.
As for Beschloss, I think he has the perfect opportunity now to write honestly, from an inside perspective, on how FanBoy media types like him can get to be so enamored and blinded and servile to credentialed morons and Elitist "Group Think". (See Tacitus)
I doubt he will ever do such a desperately needed Apologia from an insider like him, but I do hope there is a bit of him that wakes up in the middle of the night sweating at the recollection of his Imus interview.
My guess is Beschloss would not have the courage to publish anything like that yet, for fear of retribution from those still loyal to Obama and the progressive cause. If I grant him the benefit of having any genuine perceptive abilities, I imagine him in sort of "No Man's land", seeing the wheels coming off Obama's cart, but unable to decide what to do next---the Left will kill him, the Right will ridicule him, and the Simon and Schusters will probably never publish him until the whole western world In lockstep decides collectively that there is benefit In saying of Obama, there is no there there.
He seems to me currently to be capable of doing scripted sound bites on PBS History shows about FDR in Ww2, and maybe an interview or 2 on Russia Today, as long as the interlocutor is somebody less hard hitting than Larry King---the coveted David Gergen chair at CNN, in Jay Gatsby fashion, still just beyond his grasp.
Speaking of the potential for corruption enshrining Fascism as the necessary economic construct for federal dollars seems to be the name of the game in that Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act that sailed through the US Senate last week.
I had been trying to get a copy and at 813 pages can see why most are just doing a synopsis. Better that than noting each state required to submit a Unified Plan to Secs of Labor and Ed for approval. There is a link to it in the comments on my blog.
Looks to me laike all sorts of radical groups get to do the required training and Language and civic ed are integrated for new immigrants and worker reps from Labor or probably ACORN or La Raza must be 20% of the required Local Development Boards.
Lots of dollars to community groups and nonprofits who can provide jobs so that student loans can quickly be worked off.
Hard to imagine HHS doing a better job with Independent Living Centers of those with significant disabilities than the VA is doing with its fiefdom.

Last night on a late Pub Crawl thru Cambridge came upon a dozen folks in yellow and green with balloons drunkenly dancing down the street singing the refrain from the Sinatra song "Brazil". "Brazil, da da da dada dada dahh..."
Obviously Brazil soccer fans happy at a victory their team must have achieved.
Of the Brit cab drivers and bartenders I have queried, they seem a bit uninterested in the World Cup since the British Isle's teams have all lost.
I take great delight in saying stuff like "I think I heard there was an American Team in the Tournament, but since nobody in the States cares about the game much, I imagine we got bounced too."
"No? you don't say. We're still in it? That surprises the heck out of me. Have we played anybody that's any good, 'cause I assume we are terrible?"

The umpire who keeps having to deal with these soccer players writhing on the ground in fake agony looks to me at first glance like Officer Pete Malloy from the old 1-Adam12 TV show.
"1 Adam 12, see the man, writhing on the turf at Copa Cabana Street."
He just issued a red card to my Countryman from Costa Rica. Racist.
Officer Malloy just issued a yellow card to a pleading Greek. Free kick. Am the only guy watching this? The Chinese gal has fallen asleep, and so has her boyfriend.
No tile laying today. We've had three thunderstorms wander through since two o'clock and I hear another off in the distance. Not complaining as most of the storms this week have fizzled before they got to us. I don't want to see the water bill this month (or the electric).
The toolboxes at Farcebook are spooging uncontrollably about the purported beat down which Katranny vanden Trustfund laid on Kristol. I refuse to link to ABC snooze so Newbusters reports, you decide.
I'm been MIA for days...over on the Crime blog reading and posting about the baby-in-the-hot-car tragedy here in Ga. This happened just over a mile from where I used to live. I so wanted it to be a horrible accident but looks worse with every new bit of information. Just horrible!!
They usually do, rse. Amazing how many times they come rolling in and get to y'all and fzzt. North Atlanta development has really futtzed with our rain patterns.
These today have been mostly forming close enough to blow up and wander around a bit and head toward Athens. Wouldn't want to be on the lake right now, either.
Aw geez. Officer Malloy was the red head who drove the police car (Martin Milner). Reed was the dark haired guy issuing red cards in the game. Geez. I blame Rich for buying us this round of London ales.
Pappistepopulos. The Greeks really need some nicknames.
Heard on espn today that one of the teams that made it through had such high hopes that their coaches contract runs out tomorrow or something. Don't remember whose, but can you say "doesn't portray confidence?"
and I cannot take credit for any skunk London ales. if I were on that pub crawl it would be whatever you would prefer (Guinness? Newcastle (just had a few that weren't very good)? ... something more local and obscure).
Is everybody else getting the occasional "message from our sponsors" page overtop of JOM when they refresh a page? You know, a little software engineering note for ad software developers: If you show me a blank black box for 30 seconds you haven't actually advertised to me. Test your software on slower internet connections. A simpler ad that people actually see is more effective than an ad that never makes it on to the page.
Yay. We now have a Brit bar guy doing loud play by play commentary almost worthy of Captain Hate.
I am sitting with a jap gal who is smiling ear to ear at every comment, and her pal is a gorgeous Deutschland gal (where's beasts when you need him) and some euro guy as their host.
Ok here come the penalty kicks. Less yawns by the minute!
Maybe, rich, I just don't pay that much attention to the avatars on the kindle. Embiggering the type on the kindle, the avatars disappear behind the left margin.
Greek coach (who just got sent off???) Is the coach whose contract expires tomorrow.
Olé commercial just came on and the hubs says I hate that song. Marist used to sing that at HS soccer games when they won in the playoffs so after a particularly satisfying win, the hubs, coaching, joined with his girls singing it at them.
as usual, Rove is being Vizzini, most of the Tea Party targets, Graham, Cornyn, McConnell failed,
Brat came through, because he was on stealth, Ernst managed some establishment support, what is he talking about,
About Khattalah, he's not someone I would like to face even in broad daylight, he was in Abu Salem for a about a dozen years, and that's real hard core, but he's no strategists, just a button man,
Here's my theory: The supposed crash has nothing to do with the emails. Only after they realized they would not be able to redact (from the court, not congress) all the damning info did they look for an out, and only then did someone remember the "crash" and incorporate it into the current lie. So no one knew or reported it, because they hadn't made it up yet.
Posted by: Jane | June 29, 2014 at 10:56 AM
I think this makes sense, Jane. Nobody yas yet claimed that she archived any emails to her hard drive, so an explanation for them getting the hard drive crash into the news is warranted. And surely it's an underhanded move, carefully scripted and played by top drones.
What really happened, I think, is that their convenient six-month backup strategy allowed them to vanish all of her deleted emails after simply stalling Congress for six months. The firing of the backup vendor was just insurance that no pesky permanent backups would ever be found. (Surely they forced the backup vendor to return all backup materials under penalty of severe punishment.)
Claiming "First!" is just silly.

Well that is interesting. The Christian Science Monitor and New York Times are reporting that no publisher in the Peoples Republic of China will publish a Chinese edition of Hillary Clinton's new book. Even Amazon China has pulled the English language edition.

Racist.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 05:30 PM
Soccer would be much more interesting if each side played short one half. ;)
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 05:32 PM
Officer Malloy just issued a yellow card to a pleading Greek. Free kick. Am the only guy watching this? The Chinese gal has fallen asleep, and so has her boyfriend.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 05:35 PM
We're watching. Ugliest game of the cup so far.
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 05:38 PM
No tile laying today. We've had three thunderstorms wander through since two o'clock and I hear another off in the distance. Not complaining as most of the storms this week have fizzled before they got to us. I don't want to see the water bill this month (or the electric).
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 05:43 PM
The toolboxes at Farcebook are spooging uncontrollably about the purported beat down which Katranny vanden Trustfund laid on Kristol. I refuse to link to ABC snooze so Newbusters reports, you decide.

Stephanie-the storms fizzled before they made it your way because they all hit my place. Today nothing.
Posted by: rse | June 29, 2014 at 05:50 PM
Snit. Extra time coming unless CRC collapses in the stoppage time after that.
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 05:52 PM
It's almost as if the eu bailed out the Greeks once again. 1 to 1!
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 05:52 PM
Is that it, (1 to 1),
or do we get more?
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 05:59 PM
I'm been MIA for days...over on the Crime blog reading and posting about the baby-in-the-hot-car tragedy here in Ga. This happened just over a mile from where I used to live. I so wanted it to be a horrible accident but looks worse with every new bit of information. Just horrible!!
Posted by: Momto2 | June 29, 2014 at 05:59 PM
They usually do, rse. Amazing how many times they come rolling in and get to y'all and fzzt. North Atlanta development has really futtzed with our rain patterns.
These today have been mostly forming close enough to blow up and wander around a bit and head toward Athens. Wouldn't want to be on the lake right now, either.

Your soccer talk and home projects are much better for my soul!!
Posted by: Momto2 | June 29, 2014 at 06:01 PM
Daddy, elimination round. 2 15 minute OT periods, then the dreaded PKs.
Posted by: henry | June 29, 2014 at 06:02 PM
Aw geez. Officer Malloy was the red head who drove the police car (Martin Milner). Reed was the dark haired guy issuing red cards in the game. Geez. I blame Rich for buying us this round of London ales.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:05 PM
Henry,
You must be on double super secret probation. Everybody else's icon works normal but yours is a white box with the word "Henry" in it.
And I have somehow become teal.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:11 PM
My home brew must step on some EU trademark.
Posted by: henry | June 29, 2014 at 06:13 PM
Teal - the color of gangrene to quote jlo in the wedding planner.
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 06:14 PM
I suppose teal is better than cyan, but that ain't saying much.
And I haven't see better writhing in Greeks since Theseus cut off the head of Medusa.
The Hindu's just bailed, saying they will watch the free kick replay later on BBC
Chinese woke up and left a bit ago.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:23 PM
15 more minutes then pk time.
Pappistepopulos. The Greeks really need some nicknames.
Heard on espn today that one of the teams that made it through had such high hopes that their coaches contract runs out tomorrow or something. Don't remember whose, but can you say "doesn't portray confidence?"
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 06:24 PM
yeah, we are getting some free soccer.
and I cannot take credit for any skunk London ales. if I were on that pub crawl it would be whatever you would prefer (Guinness? Newcastle (just had a few that weren't very good)? ... something more local and obscure).
still in stoppage time good grief ...

Posted by: Momto2 | June 29, 2014 at 06:01 PM<<<
We are not all DOOM! However, I'm watching soccer so it must be close to DOOM!
why did that Costa Rican dude get tossed out of the game at the 66th minute?
Posted by: rich@gmu | June 29, 2014 at 06:28 PM
Nobody's watching Congressional play tougher than the final round of Pinehurst? Do I even know you people?
Posted by: Captain Hate | June 29, 2014 at 06:28 PM
The more rounds JEF plays, the lower my opinion of golf.
Posted by: henry | June 29, 2014 at 06:30 PM
5 on 2 and the Greeks still couldn't score.
... i'll just let that roll around for a while.
Posted by: rich@gmu | June 29, 2014 at 06:31 PM
Cyan? Ick.
At least I'm sporting a muddied Carolina blue.
Don't remember rich being green before, either.
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 06:31 PM
i need to make a beer run.
damn it.
Posted by: rich@gmu | June 29, 2014 at 06:31 PM
thought I've always been green ... brb

Watch it on replay tonight on the golf channel, capt.
Cleaning and golf don't work as well as cleaning and soccer.
"And Michelson has hit the ball, again."

Cathyf, not here.
Posted by: henry | June 29, 2014 at 06:36 PM
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:39 PM
Momtomom,
I'm having a hard time believing it.
Posted by: Jane | June 29, 2014 at 06:42 PM
Maybe, rich, I just don't pay that much attention to the avatars on the kindle. Embiggering the type on the kindle, the avatars disappear behind the left margin.
Greek coach (who just got sent off???) Is the coach whose contract expires tomorrow.
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 06:43 PM
C' mon Rican's.
Officer Reed just tossed their coach off the field. "1 Adam 12, see the man, berserk on the pitch at São Paulo."

For the locals:
Olé commercial just came on and the hubs says I hate that song. Marist used to sing that at HS soccer games when they won in the playoffs so after a particularly satisfying win, the hubs, coaching, joined with his girls singing it at them.
Touché

as usual, Rove is being Vizzini, most of the Tea Party targets, Graham, Cornyn, McConnell failed,
Brat came through, because he was on stealth, Ernst managed some establishment support, what is he talking about,
About Khattalah, he's not someone I would like to face even in broad daylight, he was in Abu Salem for a about a dozen years, and that's real hard core, but he's no strategists, just a button man,
Posted by: narciso | June 29, 2014 at 06:54 PM
Pussy. Useless piece of s$&t. Horrible human. His life destroyed forever.
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:55 PM
Costa Rica wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Stephanie tortoise not the hare | June 29, 2014 at 06:55 PM
From the previous thread:

Yay! Go rica 's if I was on the border with nan pelvis I would kiss you all. Cheers!
Posted by: daddy | June 29, 2014 at 06:56 PM
With all Officer Reed's bookings, do the Costa Ricans have enough men to put on the field in the next game?
Posted by: henry | June 29, 2014 at 06:58 PM
Well that was a dismal affair. Costa Rica - Netherlands. Should be a much better game.
PS: meathead lexi lalas is greek? Oy vey.

LOL daddy, I just told the hubs, he's dead.
He said, he didn't miss, the keeper got it. Me doesn't matter.
