We have a new Thor, and he is a she? I could care less (or couldn't - I've heard it both ways) except that I will never be able to explain "Adventures In Babysitting" to my grandkids. Or the Marvel movies, but those are inexplicable anyway.
And as always, the world wonders - is it good for Hillary? Or is she threatened by the emergence of another strong (albeit utterly unqualified) woman?

No folks, she doesn't have any money because she can't win. Bill White outraised her handily.

....and White lost handily to Perry in 2010. And he was arguably the best Gov candidate Dems have fielded since I've lived in Texas.
TX Dems didn't even have a candidate lined up until Pink Sneakers decided to run last fall. That should tell you what they thought of their chances of beating Abbott.

Obama's remarks at the end of Ramadan dinner. a bit - "...And for all of us, whatever our faiths, Ramadan is a reminder of just how much we share. The values of peace and charity, the importance of family and community — these are universal values. The command to love one another, to uphold justice, and to care for the least among us — these are common threads in our faith traditions."
Could someone...anyone in our political world or any MFMer please, Please, PLEASE read the Q'u''ra'n? Do any of them know what is actually WRITTEN in it?

Rolling Stone has compiled a definitive record of “The 5 Most Dangerous Guns in America.” They are, and I’m not kidding here:
Pistols
Revolvers
Rifles
Shotguns
Derringers

Steph-when we were in NYC last month in a bookstore the actor who plays Coulson came in to browse. Red was so excited but too cool to bother him. She did look him up and discovered he had just finished an interview across the street.
Also saw Diana Van Furstenburg who truly has to have some record for an ability to age gracefully. I guess BG's had started carrying her dresses.
I am looking at Vargas' undocumented immigrant headline. I guess the new criteria is if anyone wants to come we must let them and support them for life. Funny since no one has an obligation to support us. I see the state universities are fighting the idea that vets should get in-state tuition. Not a one would say that about illegals.

a bit more from the Ramadan dinner speech (near the end)-
"Here at home, even as we’re vigilant in ensuring our security, we have to continue to remain true to our highest ideals. In the United States of America, there is no place for false divisions between races and religions. We are all Americans, equal in rights and dignity, and no one should ever be targeted or disparaged because of their faith. ..."

Washington DC sounds like a possibility or maybe Texas. I'll be in Atlanta the last weekend in May2015.
I love that Arizona sheriff Babeau who called Jeh the Homeland Security guy a liar today for telling Congress that he is coordinating with the mayors and governors of the states wrt illegals being bussed into their states.
He said he heard through the grapevine of the feds plan to bring illegals to Pima and got the word out and the protesters arrived. The busses never showed up but they remain wary that the feds may try to sneak them in at night.
The Nebrasks governor should ship the illegals that snuck into his state to Washington DC.Let Obama sort them out.Let's find some well to do couples who can't have children to adopt some of these kids. They need to speed up their hearings and make their decisions.
Cornyn and Cuellar have a combined bill to speed up the hearings but Perderdast Reid says there is no Dim support for it.

The left like Kerry in 2004 don't know jack-crap about guns. The picture of Obama holding the rifle incorrectly or Pink sneakers Wendy looking like a fool holding one is so obvious. We are not that stupid. Just because they are stuck on stupid doesn't mean everyone else is as well.
So FEC destroyed their hard-drive also to cover-up campaigning for Obama against Romney in 2012. Once again I state the 2012 election was stolen by fraudulent means and after this is proven all lawlessness that occurred under Obama must be declared null and void.

The thing is, the actual comics have become addicted to gimmicks to goose sales. Hence all the reboots and alternate universes and left-wing culture memes regularly getting trotted out. Occasionally one turns out OK, like the Civil Wars arc a few years back.

as far as I know, semi-automatic handguns are still pistols as are derringers. There are even machine pistols such as the MAC-10 and UZI. I would guess the differentiator is the calibers used would be the typical handgun calibers, 9mm, .40 Cal, .45 cal. etc.
The come sub-machineguns like those cool little HK's and Steyrs that European border police carry.
Watching World Z the other night I realized that if we are ever to repel either zombies of aliens we are going to need lots of large caliber automatic weapons. It seems to take 3-10 rounds of .223 to drop a zombie, let alone some nasty alien.
The Army is re-opening the debate on sidearms. I think, finally, everyone agrees that the Beretta 92 sucks.
As to Thor let's see what happens when they try to option the movie rights for the new Chelsea Manning version. Somehow I think most fans are going to stick with the large virile Viking dude. Gay Supermen and transgendered Batpeople just aren't going to sell in Shanghai and Mumbai and Red America.
