ceteris paribus

You're Welcome.

NKreBootDeux

TomM- I see what you did there... cheeky fellow.

Carol Herman

That's the media line! And, stories like this pay off big time for journalists. Not just writing for the National Enquirer!

Palin

Getting your ass kicked in a fight you started is only bad when the wingnut loses.

rich@gmu

fantastic ... bring out the trolls

how about some deftones ... mood music.

henry

Trolls lie, safely starting fights from Mom's basement. my advice, start with a paper bag and work your way up.

Jeff Dobbs

The Corner:

Michelle Obama made another gaffe stumping for a Democratic candidate on Thursday, appearing to confuse the family history of Colorado’s Mark Udall with that of his Republican opponent.

“As a fifth-generation Coloradan, Mark understands what makes this state special,” the first lady said from Denver on Thursday.

Except Udall isn’t from Colorado: He is the son of former longtime Arizona congressman Mo Udall. Mark was born in Tucson, Ariz., and moved to Colorado after he graduated from college.

On the other hand, Udall’s opponent, Republican Cory Gardner, comes from a long line of Coloradans. According to Gardner’s website, his roots in the Centennial State go back to 1886.

Don't blame Michelle, I think she was exposed to some second-hand brownies.

Porchlight

It's almost like they're trying to lose this.

daddy

I also like how it's not just that they show they are liars in regards to "Violence against Women," they are also liars in regards to "The children of politicians are off limits."

RickB

Hit,

I put it down to a bad turnip. Well, that and the fact she's only marginally brighter than her husband. Maybe 6% or so - call it 16W rather than 15.

Carol Herman

Mo Udall had one eye. And, a terrific sense of humor. It was because of his humor that he couldn't be considered presidential timber.

The races are "tight" not because of Sarah Palin, but because Obama is actually outdoing Jimmy Carter!

I bet Alaska is a pretty place. But journalists assigned to cover Sarah are there for only one reason! She generates headlines!

Then? There may be another reason this story has "lift?" What with so many Americans "mad as hell and not wanting to take it anymore." A family that punches back is to be admired.

narciso

"And if you vote early, you will be taken off the phone list for future election related calls."

I'm sold.

Had an interesting conversation yesterday with a black airline employee who lives in Calif and was going for some training. He thought bo's agenda was being constrained by Congress and that the middle class was disappearing.

I let him talk some more about his views of the world and then asked him what he would do if the President went through with amnesty for the 34 million illegals after the election. He first said "he won't do that," then he said that would be the end of his support.

I am willing to bet it's the camel's back-breaking straw for others as well.

It was fun getting to talk with matt with the most striking vistas on the horizon.

I think Hagan is the Senator in distress. we were discussing yesterday.
Obama says if Nunn wins, he keeps the Senate. What are her chances of doing this really?
I am going out on a limb to say I think we should put more repub money in Ed Gillespie's race in Virginia. Warner is floundering and Gillespie has a bona fide good plan for an alternative to ACA.We always overlook Virginia because it has broken our hearts so many times. {Cuccinelli and Obenshain come to mind.

Maryrose,

I've been reading some reasonable arguments that Franken is the one with the sopping wet diaper. There is a bit of House polling which supports the contention.

mr-I think Nunn may win because many women will support her and the sense that the Reps in Ga have become a cronyistic conflict-ridden operation hurts the gubernatorial election.

troubling hints of a hacking of the white house's computer systems over at Power Line. There's no story yet, just hints and rumors. But googling, I learned that in 2012 Chinese hackers had hacked into our defense department computers in charge of deployment of nuclear weapons. It is not good that the incompetents are in charge for another two years at all.

Beasts of England

Nunn is polling slightly ahead of Perdue at this moment (RCP average). I think there is certainly a chance she'll win, depending on the ground game.

jimmyk

This was among the funnier lines in Katrina's screed (lyle @6:12):

"This time, it might be Obama who shuts down the government."

Evidently she isn't aware of the axiom that if there's a government shutdown, the Republicans did it.

rse

Bo coming out for her though this afternoon will hurt her more than help I believe. Makes for strong ad buy in closing days plus will cost her votes.

NO ONE who is swayed by his endorsement was not already voting for her. Some voting for her on the basis of gender allegiance may back off now.

Josh Earnest was forced to assert today in his press conference that "Obama is relevant" So Begich's gaffe is on the radar and probably really PO'd somebody at the WH.

Maryrose,

I've been listening to the biggest local Conservative Talk Show for the opening Half Hour. (Dave Steiren, the guy who replaced Dan Fagan). He's a lousy Talk Host and a perennial Sarah Palin hater. So far, it has been only the Sarah Endorsement story---not a word about Begich and his "President Obama's not relevant" gaffe.

Frustrating to me as the ADN still does not report the quote, nor the local News stations per a google search, so tho' you guys and FOX News watchers are aware of it, it has been effectively censored in Alaska.

I should be calling in to the guy within the next half hour, but he just went to the break and said after the break he will be discussing "Vampires."

He really is pathetic.

CH,

After one hundred years of full bore lying, the progressive fascists have only indoctrinated 22-24% of the population to the point of self identifying as idiot liberals. The Tea Party made it to 24-27% in four years and it's holding. Palin latched on to the Tea Party and the fascists reward her for it. It's not a bad thing to be hated by progressive fascists due to their perennial failure any more than it's a bad thing to watch the latest episode of Thugs on Drugs with a "What did you expect?" attitude.

RickB, that doctor came in before the new, wonderful reporting policy was in place. Now it won't be optional to contact authorities when you have a fever--you have to report your temperature daily.
Nobody would ever not actually take it and make one up or anything...

Seems prudent to have health care workers with known contact to quarantine for 21 days to me.

Fortunately, the Obamas have other options, one of which is California, which has a solid variety of golf options (you can even live in private communities with their own private courses), warm weather, and a pleasingly liberal electorate that doesn't think too hard about who they send to DC. And while Barack Obama might be out of contention, rumor has it Michelle has her eye on the prize: Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat.

2. A ladies league when my daughter was small which offered free babysitting while we bowled. (It was boring.)
3. With one grandchild, I believe the middle one, for a birthday party.

So I agree with you.

clarice,

That is what his opinion read. Suit was considered moot now that they were legit.

Regarding bowling. Most Florida high schools have boys and girls bowling teams. Our two local public HS's are damn good if you believe the scores they post. You see single games of 275, 260, 255, etc. and series of the mid 700's. That's almost professional like.

Forget the shies, only so many his size. What aboiut the ball or balls he used. More of them than shoes.
