“Berks County is the front line in the war against Spotted Lanternfly,” said Agriculture Secretary George Greig.
On Monday, the DEP called for a full quarantine of the insect -- which measures about 1-inch long as an adult -- in Pike and District townships in hopes of stopping the pests before extensive damage is done to the state’s multimillion-dollar fruit and multibillion-dollar logging industries.

Juan lurves him some O balls.

If VA could put a noted non incumbent grifter and crook like McAwful over the top how can they not re-elect the by-comparison squeaky clean Warner?

Is Rove on any of these panels?

Sue

I don't think there's a wave.

rich@gmu

It's Virginia ... what can I say? The governor's election had some strange dynamics with a Dem funded Libertine candidate (he's playing the same role here in the senate election and underperforming) ...

Did you spot the issue?

Jeff Dobbs

I think there exists the possibility that there's a wave.

Or not.

Jim Rhoads f/k/a vnjagvet

I'll take a majority.

NKONIPAD

Define 'wave'

rse

Yeah Tm!!

Cuz we do like to chat

mostly. Richmond and Fairfax are trickling in and Loudoun has been surprisingly strong for Comstock (which would bode ill for Warner).

Stephanie, I was 3 minutes too late to post that with "Throw the bums out" as the title.

Jeff Dobbs

AoSHQ decision desk working? I can't get to it.

hrtshpdbox

Looks pretty wavy to me; RCP average had Warner up 9.7%, for instance.

GMax

I agree no wave. Tsunami.

rich@gmu

hit-

crashed for me too ...

hrtshpdbox-

nice to see you back commenting. it'll close once returns from over Janet's way start coming in and all the manufactured votes from the Eastern Shore can make up the differences.

Porchlight

Yep, hrtshpdbox, it's all about the margins.

Another bob

Hit, dead for me too. As is AOSHQ.

Pixy must be taking a smoke break.

Porchlight

Romney's margins sucked at this point in the night in 2012.

Just read Crist's request to extend hours in S. Fla. has been denied!! Up to their usual tricks I see...

Yeah, Rich....the polls were crowded today here in Arlington.
They are zombie (D) voters.

Jeff Dobbs

Cotton!

hrtshpdbox

Rich, I figured some pro-Warner votes are going to come flooding in, but Red Racing Horses' last was that Gillesipie is still hitting all the marks he needs to. Btw, that site also points out that a Republican is currently winning the Gov's race in Vermont, of all places. Thanks for the welcome, too.

Stephanie accidentally OnT?

Cotton!

Danube on iPad

I haven't seen enough to come to a conclusion about a wave, but the margin in KY and the returns thus far in VA are certainly encouraging.

Cotton takes Arkansas!

GMax

+ 2 as Cotton is called the winner in Arkansas

Johns_Creek_Bill

CNN projects Cotton in Arkansas.

Good guys +2

GMax

Scott now up three on The Cheeto with 87% of the vote in.

From the Biden link on the prior thread:

transplanted anal hair

Is there anything that sums up our current political class better than this?

Jeff Dobbs

I'm nervous here. I really haven't gotten plugged in to live results, so it's not based on this county or that district returns.

But I'm nervous.

Iggy

From Kevin Williamson;

"Cthulhu 2016: Why Vote for a Lesser Evil?"

Is this a bumpersticker yet?
I know I'd get one and suspect TK would.

Dave (in MA)

Throw the bums out

Thomas Collins

My operational definition of a wave: A Congress that can send legislation to Obama that clarifies matters for 2016. My operational definition of a tsunami: Dem Senators up in 2016 micturating in their Brooks Brothers pants.

CR

More from Barone:

"100% in Fredericksburg VA, at edge of NoVa metro, 58%-39% Warner. Kaine won it 2012 64%-35%. Gillespie running ahead of other Rs in NoVa.

Jeff Dobbs

Oh, anyway, mrs hit and run and I voted after work today. Traffic on the roads at 5:30 was horrible - worst I've ever seen. Thought it might be election related.

There was almost no line at our polls. Only 8 voting stations set up, mrs hit and run got to vote immeditely - I had to wait 1 minute and 43 seconds. Or so.

Johns_Creek_Bill

Cochran was so excited to learn that he won he had to have his diaper changed.

You're welcome. I remembered the nic from a while back. Always meant to ask if you were out in the Seattle area?

in re the race: surprised how well Gillespie is running and how well (at my last check) at Comstock's strength.

Sue

CBS is calling NH for Shaheen.

Dublindave

CNN calls Christ projected winner in FL!

Dave (in MA)

The lines were out the gymnasium door and halfway down the parking lot in my precinct. Once checked in, you had to wait for an open booth.

Dublindave

Congratulations Charlie!!!!

Porchlight

Porchlight

Haha. Aw man.

Sue

ABC calling NH for Shaheen.

Porchlight

--The very little precincts are easier to count.--

That is funny, of course it took a great set up to make it so.

Porchlight

Red Racing Horses:

8:49 ET- 93% in for Florida, and Scott is still up 49-46. Looks like the juice might be running out of the orangeman.

GMax

Scott up 142K votes and most of the votes are reported. DD is the source, so consider whether you want to rely on a lying drunken Democrat for info.

Johns_Creek_Bill

Palm Beach and Broward still to be counted. The Cheeto is not dead yet.

Cross Posting from last thread...

JiB - if you are still having issues with vertigo/uneasiness, get some Dramamine Less Drowsy. It is the same med prescribed for Vertigo, BPPV, and Menieres episodes and generally does help (Antivert - Meclizine). Hope your issue is just a virus or similar short term issue.

I live about 2 miles from the Michigan Ear Institute and have been there for my BPPV/Menieres Disease. They are very good and worthwhile if needed.

GMax

Scott is underperforming all other Republicans on the ballot statewide, but he is up a lot of votes.

Jim Miller

It's on election nights like this one that -- wicked fellow that I am -- I miss Peter Jennings.

You could tell that he understood that the Republicans were winning -- and you could see that result did not make him happy,

(Dan Rather always looked clueless to me, and I always wondered -- Texans may want to correct me here -- whether those "Texas sayings" he used for commentary were written for him by some Yale English major.)

Polls closed in WI.

narciso

tactically, Scott should have had some rejoinder to the HCA question, he should have deployed his runningmate earlier, brought up Ferrer and Fortuno earlier, pointed out Rothstein's pal, earlier, this isn't rocket science, or maybe it is,

Exit polls so far in NC...

Black vote 21% - that's better than the 25% in early voting. But black vote 95% Hagan

Tillis getting 59% of white vote.

Tillis getting 8% of DEM vote, leading Independent vote 46-42, Hagan getting 6% of REP vote. That's not good enough, if true.

SD called for Rounds?

PDinDetroit

My wife and I voted at 6 PM and were in the 680's for number of voters in our precinct (first time voting here, unknown if that is high, low, etc). Like JiB, my wife had to take me with my 7 out of 10 pain level migraine headache (nothing seems to help right now).

I would drink along with you guys tonight, but I won't give up the 25 year medallion from August. Some days, I wonder if the migraine pain will ever go away.
