Politico reports on Obama's crafty next move - flee!
Lame duck swims to Asia
Let's hope he has enough energy left to pivot after the swim.
If President Barack Obama expects to escape the spate of brutal post-election news by traveling 6,000 miles and 12 time zones to Asia, he’s in for a surprise.
Regional players are taking stock of whether the U.S. president once seen as a global rock star will now have diminished heft on the world stage, and some are delivering their verdict well ahead of his arrival Monday for an eight-day trip to China, Burma and Australia.
Global Times, an English-language newspaper published by China’s state-run People’s Daily, has carried two withering editorials in recent days.
“The lame-duck president will be further crippled” in the wake of a GOP victory, the newspaper warned in one before the voting was complete. “He has done an insipid job, offering nearly nothing to his supporters. US society has grown tired of his banality.”
Whoa. If the ranks of the right-wing bloggers ever thin in this country we have a deep bench in Beijing.
I always like to be First on Fridays

The ChiComs are Tea Partiers? Who knew.
Lets see; The World Today: Putin is about to Crimeaize East Ukraine while Limp D#@& Obummer stands by chooming away; ISIS continues to arm and recruit and ready for its final push to grab the Iraq and its Military gear; and on Nov 24th I expect the Mullahs to announce they have an operational BOMB and delivery system-- all systems go for the return of the 12th Imam. 500(?) now being monitored for Ebola in the USA and the Media have put a hold on announcing actual cases. Yep we are in Obummer's Handbasket at the doors of hell. Good news? Yes -- thank God for horizontal drillers and frackers who are helping drive down oil/gas prices worldwide-- DESPITE Obummer.

Honestly, 3 people is enough. But it's not just those 3 people. It's their families, too, and - to the extent they were touched by the fallout - friends and co-workers, too.
But I'd guess, given her track record, that for those 3 people we do know about, there are probably hundreds whose names we will never know who found themselves targets of her despite their innocence.

The Chicoms will humiliate Obummer like we have yet to see before. They'll probably announce some new military gear and ORDER the US Navy out of the China Sea and East Pacific Co-Prosperity Sphere (what's 75 years old is new again) then they will recognize Putin's Rump East Ukraine-Russia. EIN VOLK -- in Russian this time -- and they'll ORDER the House of Saud to sell Crude in Yuan denominated currency. Oh yes, all these things are coming soon. Putin/Chicoms/Mullahs have just 26 months to slap this pussie around-- they'll go for it.

DD-- you have no portfolio-- you don't even own underpants without holes in them. Let those of us who have a bit of hard earned money saved and invested worry about that. And as the Repubs now cater to small business owners and productive workers, I am highly confident that their Budgets will spend a shitload less on those like you in the Free Shite Army, and there will be far less debt created. They will also make it easier to produce/refine/distribute USA energy and they'll bitchslap the Fed a bit to never do the QE nonsense again, that will keep the currency strong. I'm good with all of that.

Iggy-- I break up the 1%s into 3 classes; the crony elite, the 'above it all' rich libs, and patriots. The rich patriots want other Americans to benefit from the bigger economic pie they help create. They don't fear new competition, they engage it with the confidence in their own abilities, and yeah a bigger economic pie benefits them as well. There are patriots at JOM. There are evil cronies and above it all Libs in the Legacy Media. Explains a lot.

Tonto - One thing you know, but others here might not: TV ads here are miserably expensive for House seats.
To reach the 1st district (mine), you have to advertise on Seattle TV stations -- which means that you also have to pay for your ads going to all or part of the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th districts.
And you would probably want to spend a little up in Bellingham, to reach the north end of the district.

Adding to my list of first day actions:
1. Appoint the committee chairs.
2. Fire every current committee staffer.
3. Limit new staffs to 50% of old number.
4. Chair then hires his own 60% (used to be 67%).

I believe some thought should be given to selection of the chairmen for the joint select Break the Broomstick/Burn the TeePee oversight committees. There should be no more than two joint select committees and I would hope that Trey Gowdy will head one while Mike Lee heads the other. I would also hope the committees would be limited to seven majority members and five minority members to minimize bloviation. Joint select committees establish their own rules and great care should be exercised by the majority to refrain from appointing bloviators who just stink up what should be an ice cold process of exposure.
