The damage Zero can do just with regulations and mismanagement (or sabotage, if you prefer) of our foreign policy, if someone doesn't push back against him somehow, is unimaginable.
I think Boehner inviting Bibi was the first marker/warning. This could get real interesting on how the Congress exerts its own authority and autonomy independent of the executive. Not many, or none, national security or foreign affair actions where Congress takes the lead over the Executive that I can remember.
JiB-- Boehner definitely pulled a nice move with the Bibi invite and not talking to the Obummer about it in advance. We need to see the follow through on the budget and EO repeals.
Yes. Ignore Obama and his wish list. Invite Bibi, pass a sensible budget, pass sensible corrections to bureaucratic overreach (EPA, etc), a make Obama dance to Congress's tune.
henry@7:31-- you succinctly summarize why I urged everything be done to elect a Repub Senate in 2014, Everything you list can be accomplished with just a wee bit of political will. It will grow the economy, add real jobs, allow the Fed to raise interst rates 25 basis points on time which supports the virtuous 'strong dollar' cycle, and position the Repub nominee for 2016. But will McConnell do it? Jeez I hope so.
Are there other trolls that our puppet didn't mention? It seems to me we only have a select audience unlike other webistes where the pollution is EPA enforcement worthy.

Our local NBC affiliate managed to make the entire half hour about Precious except for the weather forecast. How could they not work him into that as well? Seems like a, er...slam dunk.
We are watching Big Bang Theory reruns. Frederick's favorites. I can fully understand the concept and cast. The guy who plays Sheldon is one of the best "actors" as in artists I have seen on TV in quiet a while.
It was pretty nice for Jan., Jim. 38F and partly cloudy. Precious thanked the crowd for the "balmy" weather. I know this only because I tuned into the local sports talk radio station on my way home and even THEY were replaying parts of his speech. Gah! No respite.
Have you ever noticed how the president panders to everyone but the taxpayers? Watching the State of the Union speech the other night I had a feeling of deja vu. Did you know that when Jimmy Carter was president the top tax rate was 63% and the economy was in a coma?
Well, Goodell better stay far away from megyn Kelly, who thinks that they shouldn't get to play in the Super Bowl because they are cheaters.
The sports guy she was interviewing, older thin-faced guy, said that the penalty is in the rule book as a fine and losing a draft pick.
Oh, biy, she REALLY went off then, said SHE had read the rules and quoted from it indicating MORE could be done, and she thought they shouldn't get to play.
The sports guy said the public would never stand for it and she said she thought he was wrong. She said cheaters shouldn't get to play.
It was really funny to see her go after him, because he didn't expect it at all!
Last November when the Colts played them they noticed the ball situation then and called it tot he attention of the NFL, which, of course, did nothing, letting another situation blow up out of control.
Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday he might enter the 2016 presidential race even if it would mean facing off against Hillary Clinton—a scenario that could force her and other potential Democratic candidates to rethink how they would position themselves in the primary.

The football deflation flap seems to be a scandal along the lines of the UVA gang rape.
At half time of the game, the officials discovered that at least 11 of the balls were underinflated by 2psi and one by less than that.
Unless the referees were in on the alleged cheat, the second half was played with fully inflated footballs, (a condition that should be checked by a doctor if it lasts more than 4 hours) causing Tom Brady and his team to score 28 unanswered points.
Oh, the humanity.
There are scientists here who can explain that a deflation of 2psi is about 7% and could be brought about by a change in temperature from 77 to 40 degrees.

Other fans love to hate the Patriots because they're good.
Wasn't there a deal about "the ball" for the World Cup too?
It all seems silly to me.
One of Frederick's classmates (6th grade), a kid he played with many times both here and his house, just lost his dad. 45 years old. Brain cancer. Leaves a wife and 3 young kids. Funeral mass this Saturday in which Frederick will serve along with other classmate servers.
Pretty tough on the kids in school. In fact, he is the first parent I know of in 8 years there that passed and left behind a young family. So prayers, please for this young family as they move forwared without husband and dad.
Deflategate continues here in Indianapolis, as you might suppose.
Belichick is supposed to have a press conference this morning, but whether he will address this or not is anyone's guess.
The deflation had to have been done by someone on the sidelines or the ball handler. 11 of the we were all deflated to the same pressure, which does not seem like an accident.
The Colts footballs were the regulation pressure and had not been deflated.
As to who knew about this, that's going to be difficult to prove. Probably they will get to blame an overhelpful ball boy who did it to "help the team" because he knew Brady preferred a softer football. Brady and Bellichick, of course, will swear they knew nothing about it.
The ball handler will get fired (and Kraft will deposit a large amount in his bank account) and everything will go on as before.
Sorry but I completely agree with McConnell on this. The Legacy Media and the Progs are desperate to change the subject from the budget, EO repeal and ObummerCare repeal, and Obummer's support for Jihadis all over the world. A war on women meme is just what they want the next few months. Let the House do all of its budget business first and send those to the Senate, then the issues for which they weren't specifically elected in '14 and aren't vital in '16 can be passed. BTW, as a strong constitutional constitutionalist and federalist, I think the federal courts and congress have no business in regulating abortion. That is a social and ethical issue for 57 state legislatures to decide. Of course, Roe changed that and dragged the Federal gov't into the abortion matter, so here we are. And further BTW, after Obummer forces Senate Dems to filibuster popular legislation and he vetoes other possible legislation, that will be a better time to send the late term bill to the Senate and make vulnerable Dems squirm in filibustering a partially bornm child protection bill.
Only thing that didn't seem seem right was the smell--I don't recall any popcorn drifting through the streets in Iraq. I don't know about Iraq, but Afghanistan (in my experience) stank like diesel fuel, shit, and unwashed ass, with the smells of rotting or burned mammal (of one kind or another) and nitroglycerin thrown in from time to time. Hard to describe, but hard to forget.
Not sure that would be a movie enhancing experience for most people....

About the same in Iraq, Soylent. Smellovision to go with iMax, Panovision, Cinemascope; perhaps it is not the future we are waiting for.
But, it was strange to see all of the details so finely wrought, and not actually smell the environment too.
Let the DOJ release all memoranda as did the grand jury.

Wasn't there a deal about "the ball" for the World Cup too?
It all seems silly to me.

Marlene,
Safe trip.

Good morning, all.
Democrat rules.

That's not true.

I should have typed "11 of the 12 Patriots footballs were all deflated to the same pressure" in my previous post.
I know we don't normally correct typos, but my flub sort of made the sentence unclear.

Miss M, the 12th ball was likely the kicker's. Flat balls are no fun to kick. (Kicking the air out of balls is fun).

From yesterday's thread:
About the same in Iraq, Soylent.
Smellovision to go with iMax, Panovision, Cinemascope; perhaps it is not the future we are waiting for.
But, it was strange to see all of the details so finely wrought, and not actually smell the environment too.
