STeyer gearing up for his Senate run ... too bad we can't talk one of our Cali contingent into running ... Senator Iggy or Senator DrJ has a nice ring to it.
rich, no f**king way I'd ever consider going into elected politics. When I was in Arizona a business colleague wanted me to run, and would have raised money for me, and I turned him down flat.
This Birdman trailer is the creation of my nephew--the F-18'pilot with West Nile disease. He was in NYC to receive an award for it when he was stricken.
from Steph's link - "As the audience gradually realised that a taboo was being broken in front of their eyes, whispers and occasional giggles rippled down the front row like a Mexican wave."
He did the trailer. They give him the script and an early run of the movie, and his job is to excerpt two minutes of it that will give you some idea of what it's about, and make you want to see it. He is awfully good at it. Smart, funny and movie-star handsome.
He goes home tomorrow, but with 24-hour care and long-term therapy. Progress is painfully slow but they are hopeful.
OT and FWIW, the Idaho JoM contingent met up this evening; I got to chat with lyle and Publius. Very enjoyable, but I had to leave after less than an hour due to family commitments. I'm looking forward to the next one, though, when I'll have more time.
Hello, all! I have been at the Thursday night auction spending a lot of money on what I hope was a good investment, mostly Portmeiron Botanical Garden serving pieces, art glass, and German crystal, plus 2 Japanese cloisonne bowls.
daddy, Sorry I missed you coming into town today. Maybe next time we can get together.
I owe you a better present for that scotch you brought me.
boatbuilder, I am not a Colts fan. My sole interest in the team is that they are successful enough to keep the downtown clanging their cash registers. The Colts notified the NFL about low-pressure balls after a November game with the Patriots and suggested they might want to keep an eye on it.
I don't think that it would have made much difference in the outcome of the game, other than the score might have been closer. So if the point spread was a big deal, someone might want to see if some guys from Vegas were involved.
And finally, the president of Yemen has resigned so they are in chaos, and the King of Sauda Arabia has died, so the new guy will have a lot on his plate. What could go wrong?
Oh, and Captain Hate, sounded on the radio like your Terrapins and IU were having a pretty close basketball game. 38-35 Indiana at the half, when I pulled in the driveway.
That Colts guy who said he thought the ball was soft when he intercepted it so he took it to the refs seems to contradict his teammates who say they first thought about and allegedly complained in November (when they also got their asses whipped, by the way) and the others who say they were tipped off by the Ravens.

On O'Reilly he blamed the officials for not figuring it out sooner. It would be akin to blaming the priest when a vagrant steals the wine.
the league doesn't care--the rule is simply a guideline,
The Patriots cared.
Why hasn't the NFL issued any findings yet?
They haven't yet crafted a BS story that will hold up to scrutiny. Obama's team does it all the time.
