Libya is in chaos following the 2011 ouster of Qadaffi, an effort which Hillary promoted eagerly although the US led from behind. So how in the world does Hillarity! 2016 manage to shift responsibility for that onto Bush?
Or maybe Dour John will bail her out with a UN deal, the same way our diplos have pacified Syria, because we all know ISIS is easy to talk to. I think hope is Hillarity!'s plan right now.
We should only pick fair fights.

The Washitting Post asked Scott Walker, if he thinks that Ofuktard is a Christian.
Scott Walker answered well.
I would have answered... "I am not running against Mr Obama. At this late stage of Mr.Obama's failed and lame duck Presidency, YOU THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA, should have VETTED and INVESTIGATED exactly WHO, Mr Obama is/was, and told your fact finding results to the AMERICAN PEOPLE."

Maybe Scott Walker should NOT run for President in 2016. He's just 47 years old. If he runs now and wins 2 terms, he'll be 58 with no where else to go as an elected office holder.
If he runs in 2016 as VP, though, that *could* give us 8 years of Walker as VP, and then 8 years as Pres. I like the idea of 16 years of Walker more than 8.
Of course plenty of risk involved in that "plan", but still. I'm just thinking out loud here.

I posted that Tweet by George Stephanopoulos because if you will recall, he was the one who threw out the birth control question in the GOP debates, the beginning shot in the War on Women.
Since he was a Clintonista, I do not think it unrealistic to believe that Hillary would use this little bit of bribery to keep the high black turnout going for her candidacy.

That would depend on the particular VP at least as much as it does on the particular President
It would depend A LOT on the success of the presidency. I like to cite history as a guide: The only VP who succeeded immediately into the presidency (other than by death of the President) in as far back as I can think off the top of my head) was Bush 41. (Nixon came close in '60.)
I'd much rather have Walker in '16 followed by the VP he chooses, on the assumption Walker's presidency will be successful. Reagan's major failing, IMO, was choosing GHWB as his VP. Bush 41 was a decent man, but not a conservative and very much GOPe.

Mom and dad are expected home tomorrow evening. If the flights aren't delayed. ::sigh:: I should remember to not brag.

I have to side with jimmyk on the Walker pres or veep question.
I think it is also important to be running a younger guy as opposed to an older woman (Hillary or Warren) and one who has younger children (as opposed to Chelse or Warren's children, if she has any).
I believe dems are in trouble and they know it. Hence the trial balloon of reparations, the ridiculous attacks on Walker by the press, the attempt to make the GOP responsible for the safety or Mall of America patrons.

To be more specific: I don't give a shit where he went to grade school, but think it is dumb to make false claims about it. I don't give a shit about his religion, but think it is dumb to speculate about it.
The school registration document you posted lists his religion as Islam.

Henry,
I disagree. You cannot claim to be a christian and not be baptized. That is how you become a christian. But then that is my viewpoint and subject to disagreement.
But then in these times where you can claim to be a citizen just by being here without any documentation to that claim, I guess you can be anything you want to be.
Posted by: Jack is Back! | February 22, 2015 at 08:59 AM
Sue, I guess you have to weigh the cost of them missing a day of school with (a) the dangers of the trip in bad weather, and (b) the likelihood of their parents being delayed and the problems getting them attended to. I'd keep them and have more fun.

henry,
If he can prove he is a member of the Society of Friends, I will accept it.
Otherwise, I am sort of wondering. If he claims it by joining Jeremiah Wright's church, then the talk about Wright telling him he didn't have to give up his Muslim ideas in order to join might be true. In which case, Wright might have waived the baptism requirement and one asks WHY.

I think Obama just uses religion as a political tool. He doesn't seem to understand Christianity or Islam at all.
He is definitely not a Christian.
"FALSANI: "Do you believe in heaven?"
OBAMA: "Do I believe in the harps and clouds and wings?"
FALSANI: "A place spiritually you go to after you die?"
OBAMA: "What I believe in is that if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded. ..."
****************************
"He added, "So, I'm rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people."
***********************************
FALSANI: "Do you believe in sin?"
OBAMA: "Yes."
FALSANI: "What is sin?"
OBAMA: "Being out of alignment with my values."
*******************************
He doesn't even understand Christianity. At the most basic level a Christian must believe in JESUS, for heaven's sake! That Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, God Incarnate, Immanuel.
If he believes "there are many paths", then he is NOT a Christian.

The lousy MFM don't understand Christianity or Islam either....so Obama has that goin' for him.

John at Powerline suggestion for Scott Walker's answer -
"That’s not a bad answer, but Republicans need to push back more strongly against Democratic Party reporters. I would suggest something like:
Dan, that is a very stupid question. And not just stupid, but inappropriate. I have never met Barack Obama. How could I possibly comment on his religious views? It would be totally inappropriate for me to do so. Why would you ask me a question like that? If President Obama’s religion is of concern to you for some reason, I suggest you ask him about it. It is not of concern to me. Now, does someone else have a more relevant question?"
