[Guest post by hit and run*]
Via Hot Air, here is former Vice President Dick Cheney in an interview with Hugh Hewitt, giving his assessment of President Obama:
...if you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world and reduce our capacity to influence events, turn our back on our allies and encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama’s doing. I think his actions are constituted in my mind those of the worst president we've ever had.
The science is settled.
And while we're on the subject of that interview, Hewitt brings up a Wall Street Journal article from Peter Berkowitz, The False Evidence Against Scooter Libby. For more on the new revelations about the Scooter Libby case made in Judith Miller's book, we turn things over to Clarice Feldman.
And while we're on the subject of Clarice Feldman, she's making news too. We concur with Thomas Lifson's conclusion:
In any contest with Clarice and Judicial Watch on one side and the hapless DC government on the other, my money is on Clarice.
Thanks Hit.
And, God Bless Dick Cheney.

My hope is every prog in progland is aware of Cheney's comments and is seething. Good start to the day.
Also, God Bless Clarice Feldman.

When Judith Miller was on Maria Bartiromo's Sunday show she was plugging her book and named Scooter Libby directly as being railroaded.
Then she went on Megyn's show and said "her source". She also said her source wanted her to come forward and say his name but the NYT's didn't want her to do that.

Hit,
Thanks for stepping in with a good post.
Cheney's load of buckshot at the pathetically incompetent liar in the White House is indicative of the shift from Emerging Turtle displayed by Cruz, Walker and Paul. As long as King Merde continues to operate without an organ grinder, no one will lack targets.
I wonder what Coon's will say after Schumer chats with him.

Good little commies planning our economy. As to CH's comment yesterday about his continued lowering of his opinion of GWB (which I share), the hiring of Paulson is yet more grist for that mill.

As to CH's comment yesterday about his continued lowering of his opinion of GWB
Not exactly what I meant to state, which was that my relatively constant opinion of GWB was lower than most other JOMers. I still voted for him twice and don't regret either vote. But my issues with him haven't changed through time.
Posted by: Captain Hate | April 08, 2015 at 01:09 PM
"No thanks, OL!"
What, Lyle? You worried about the line to the bathroom?
Posted by: Old Lurker | April 08, 2015 at 01:12 PM
Didn't mean to misconstrue, CH. I voted for him twice as well with no regrets. It's just that for all his efforts to reach out to the Dems, a fat lot of good it did for him.
I read so many books about the economic crash in '07 that the titles have all run together and I can't name just one, but in all of them, the hiring of Paulson was posed as a real head-scratcher. His wife was/is one of Cankles' big fans and virulent Bush hater.

RE Paulson, this note from ChiTown lurking unit:
Painting GWB for Bernanke & Paulson's actions against concerted efforts to do financially what 9/11 failed to do over the weekend of Sept. 15, 2008 is not helpful. Faulting Bernanke & Paulson for propping up the TBTFs at Geithner's begging as head of NY Fed is far, far the more appropriate route. That GS got bailed out first and foremost should be all you need to know.
Knowing that Paulson has since sunk all his efforts into the green agenda ever since, ought to fill in the blanks.

new lurker,
That is what I think. This is the "dived and conquqer" deal that got McCain the nomination. (Think Guilianai, Thompson, Santorum, Huckabee etal).
I worry about the conservatives in the mix because there are so many and fairly few who would be classified as moderates (cough-Jeb-cough). I need a Venn diagram with "appeals to social conservatives", "appeals to fiscal conservatives" and "appeals to national defense hawks" in the circles.

I prefer to call her Hillarity.
But I believe if we were a polite society -and we really can't claim that any longer - an elected officer is formally addressed by the title of the last office held.
President Bush 1 and 2 are still addressed as "president" and I recently heard Hillarity call BC, President Clinton. So she's the one trying to change the tone of things. She used to refer to him as "Bill".

I think it's the first time Finch talked about having a home grown operating system, which we probably already assumed (can you imagine the Machine being interrupted for one of the myriad Windows updates? I'd always assumed it was a Harold version of an extremely advanced Unix IS) and a completely unique programming language, and Samaritan using that as a means to find the Machine. The Facebook POI page said that Zoe was supposed to be the character in "Skip" who worked all the angles but Turco had other commitments so they had to create the new character.
