Hillary isjn't eligible.

Captain Hate

Speaking of Rodham:

clarice

Excellent, DoT and Hit.

henry

Does anyone believe Hillary was in the van the entire trip? Or just private jet between van related photo ops?

Dave (in MA)

Should be on the side of the van.

Captain Hate

Remember this harridan that Dudley Doright Willard bent over for? Please, no more tomato cans!

lyle
New York magazine reported that “in the Senate, [her Democratic colleague] Chuck Schumer used to tell aides that Clinton was ‘the most opaque person you’ll ever meet in your life.’” He would then add, “If [I’d] lived her life, I’d be that way, too.”

So let's put her in the WH, okay?

With all that's been published on Hillary recently the one thing that bother me most is that their net worth exceeds $100 million. Quite a feat for a couple of public servants. Even more amazing when you consider they were broke and in debt when Bill left office (ha!).
I ask myself what company did they own? What product did they produce, sell and enrich peoples lives?
The only answer I can come up with is - influence. Which answers the next question, why is Hillary running for president.
Answer - she wants to monopolize the market

pagar

With all this burden of proof stuff going around why are we acting like a person who was a high ranking federal employee using her own private server (which every foreign intelligence service apparently had access to)should be doing any thing except trying to make bail?

Thomas Collins

Oh sure, The Hill is going to have small gatherings to speak with real people. I'm sure they'll all be unscripted, just like Queen Elizabeth's gatherings with the commoners.

Whoops! I must correct myself. Queen Elizabeth has no doubt had more unscripted conversations with her subjects than The Hill will with hers.

boatbuilder

I'm really confused. Wasn't it last week that we weren't supposed to call her Hillary anymore?

matt

At this point, what difference does it make?

Interesting review in the WSJ of a book on the White House from the inside. Apparently the Clintons were roundly disliked.

One of the anecdotes was of a day shortly after Bill got with his hand in the Lewinsky and a staffer came into the presidential bedroom where they saw the sheets covered with blood. Apparently Hillary had clocked Billy Jeff with a book. Either that or an accident while exercising.

The general consensus of the staff seems to have been that the Clintons were the meanest, nastiest, most low rent occupants of the White House ever.

lyle

I'm sure they were, matt...until circa Jan. '09.

Thomas Collins

During the concalve that picked Pope Francis, a British book had Richard Dawkins at 666-1 to become the next pope. One could probably get longer odds on the song linked below becoming Hillary's theme song.

Captain Hate

Those exercise band accidents are really dangerous to donks. Funny that none of them look like the type that work out a lot.

lyle

I've exercised almost all my adult life and have never once been injured by any of the equipment I've used. Am I doing it wrong?

Extraneus

I ask myself what company did they own? What product did they produce, sell and enrich peoples lives?

If (any) Republicans are smart, a lot of people will be asking that same question over the next couple of years.

Extraneus

(If I were weak, I'd follow that up with "those questions," but I'm not.)

Thomas Collins

Hillary's the favorite over at Paddy Power. Check out Kim Kardashian's . . . umm . . . odds!

Thomas Collins

Whoops! Here's the link. I must be distracted by Kim Kardashian's odds.

"small gatherings to speak with real people."

Is that guy who Clarice mentioned yesterday a real person?

"The Clinton Foundation reportedly accepted millions of dollars from a Colombian oil company head"

I'd be willing to bet a small amount that that was a very small gathering. No way they wanted witnesses to that.
IMO, every dollar in that foundation came from people who wanted something and were willing to give money to get it.

Eric in Boise

That's not an odd, TC, it's an end. A big 'un.

henry

The return of Kerry's global mandate which fits with the JEF leading from behind by putting the UN in charge of negotiating with Iran. The UN deserves deBlasio's NYC.

lyle
Kerry, the president reminded us, is a former U.S. senator and Vietnam veteran who “provided exemplary service to the nation.” All true, as John McCain would be the first to agree. McCain didn’t disregard the secretary’s experiences and achievements, and would never question the sacrifices he made for the country. Despite their many substantive disagreements, McCain and Kerry have remained friends over the years. Each man has defended the other’s service to the country on more than one occasion.

Pretty much encapsulates all of what's wrong with DC.

I really wish there had been a way to vote for Palin and not McRINO. Casting a vote for that creep was almost as bad as voting for McGovern. In both cases I didn't realize the full extent of how bad for the country each of them was.

lyle

The ineffable commenter, "happyfeet," from Patterico on Hill:

Eric in Boise, your 2:49 PM post is the leader at the quarter pole for the JOM 2015 Best Completion of a Prior Post award. I wish I could say that I intentionally set that up, but I can't. Glad you picked up on it!

lyle

Oh, good Lord, I actually read skimmed that Chait piece. It's way worse than I expected. Final para:

The argument for Clinton in 2016 is that she is the candidate of the only major American political party not run by lunatics. There is only one choice for voters who want a president who accepts climate science and rejects voodoo economics, and whose domestic platform would not engineer the largest upward redistribution of resources in American history. Even if the relatively sober Jeb Bush wins the nomination, he will have to accommodate himself to his party's barking-mad consensus. She is non-crazy America’s choice by default. And it is not necessarily an exciting choice, but it is an easy one, and a proposition behind which she will probably command a majority.

Wasn't Chait the hack who wrote how much he hated W?

lyle @3:19, "Republicans are crazy" is the new talking point of the left. I just saw this on Kos (courtesy an e-mail from one of my lefty family members, I won't link):

Whether you like Clinton or not your choices in this election are not going to be between competing policy ideas. Your choice in the 2016 race is going to be between crazy and not crazy. You can vote for the nice lady in the Clinton ad or the nutcase behind Door Number 2. For the overwhelming majority of Americans that choice is going to be a no brainer.

It's so much easier than actually defending Clinton's record.

I'm not gettng the logo. "Vote for me" "Let's move sideways"

The logo is pointing to the ass of a Leaning Forward media.

I will never read a word that the loathsome Chait writes. All I have to say about him is that whenever I hear his name, the phrase:

"skinned alive and fed to starving, rabid, feral dogs"

comes to mind.

Poor starving, rabid, feral dogs...

For the first time in probably 15 years I caught the opening skit on SNL last Sat. and they skewered Cankles' big announcement pretty good. Even brought back Darrell Hammond to portray Slick, who of course steals all the spotlight.

Does it mean anything? Probably not as no bien-pensant living in NYC will ever vote R, but I get the distinct feeling a lot of Ds are less than thrilled to have her as their candidate. But what do I know.

Good job Dave. It was David Halper (TWS) who got the story out originally in his book Clinton, Inc.

Most liberals have resigned themselves to Mrs. Clinton because they believe the Electoral College demographics are in their favor and the Clinton strategy of deny, dissemble and attack will overcome any opposition. Barring a health scare or some bombshell, they’ll make due with Mrs. Clinton’s joyless, grind-it-out campaign.

From the comments, Tim Luker implores WSJ:

Porchlight

pagar, right, but as contrasted with "I like her but I don't think she has a chance" or "I don't like her but she's probably going to beat any Republican so I'm okay with it."

I think not liking her AND the prospect of a Republican win is what is resulting in the major sadz at the office today.
