Here is a delusional article in The Hill explaining that former governor O'Malley (D, MD) is more qualified than either Clinton or Bush to be President.
Qualifications? What??? Democrats are going to nominate a woman or a black and I don't see any blacks on the short list of 2016 candidates. Maybe a middle-aged white guy would be an acceptable VP pick, but President? C'mon, there is history to be made, glass ceilings to be shattered and War on Women to be won.
FWIW, I think there is zero chance of the Republicans nominating two middle-aged white guys, so Joni Ernst of Iowa might want to start prepping for her Palinization as the object of the next two minute hate. And we may have a chance to enjoy listening to the former Obama supporters and the MSM (pardon my redundancy) explaining why Ms. Ernst is too young, has too little time in the Senate and is hopelessly underqualified.

Easily more qualified than Hillary.
Hillary carpetbagged her senate seat on the Wall Street popularity of her predator husband and is a failed Secretary of State ...

Cross posted for Cap'n: The problems with the Art V Convention are two: There are not enough well spoken conservatives to sell the medicine required nor are there enough ears willing or capable to hear what they say; and since our left has been so successful at getting its way by ignoring the existing rules (Constitution), why would they want to encourage a new set of rules or any rules at all?
Hard to see why red states want to be tied to the blue hells much longer. Rats, ships, etc.

O'Malley might be an acceptable fallback if The Hill implodes. I think O'Malley is a shrewd infighter and could armbar Liz Warren into submission if The Hill implodes and Liz decides to become next woman up for the Dems.
So I'll make the mirror image of Rich's comment. Nothing wrong with TM but I hope H&R continues to get guest thread starting gigs. And I hope at some point we get to play Guess the Thread Starter (which I know is not a universally accepted view here).

OL,
The right target date for an Article V convention is '22. The OPM Famine isn't going away and the Blue Hells aren't going to get better. The Blue Hell failures coupled with a conservative demographic trend make '22 the best bet.
There's always a chance things could get out of hand but the high water mark for the gibbering, feces flinging progressive fascists was 2008.

Then if Indiana is the kindest, most tolerant state in the Union as Pence and I think even yourself have stated, you all need to do a Hoosier version of a Chick-Fil-A reverse boycott. I am thinking about ordering $500 dollars of Pizza from them over the phone and have it donated to the local food bank or for a Friday lunch for the local school. Anything to help them through this.
The left and especially the radical left gay community in this country need to be taught a "Don't Mess With Texas" kind of lesson. I really do hate these people or rather less than people.

NK at 5:34. Really? Can you name any election where a women ran as the VP candidate and that ticket won?
I would say if your going for an identiity candidate I would think it would be a hispanic especially one who can speak to the naturally conservative values of most voting Hispanics in Spanish. Like Rubio, Cruz, Martinez.
Obama didn't need Hiillary as his V.P. candidate and won with the whitest, most priviledge old geezer in the Senate. Yet women voted in droves for those two.

If ethnic preference is the criteria, Sandoval is a better pick than Cruz or Rubio. Sandoval would guarantee Nevada and would definitely help in Colorado. Florida isn't quite as much on the knife edge as it used to be and BOzo's increasing antisemitism is leaving a very bad taste with a growing segment of the Florida electorate. If Florida tightens up, then Rubio gets an edge. It would be a free run for Sandoval and Cruz, I don't know if Florida allows a candidate to run for two Federal jobs. If it doesn't then Rubio would have to choose.
I don't believe a Hispanic VP candidate would be of much help in Wisconsin, Ohio and Virginia and those three will be the real battleground.
Posted by: Rick Ballard | April 01, 2015 at 06:07 PM
RickB,
As a Floridian voter, I disagree. I see the state moving more and more toward red than staying purple or going blue. Too many indoctrinated liberal/dem voters moving in from the NE. Even the Obama move on Cuba hasn't turned many votes in democratic but cuban-american Miami. And I think we are all over-estimating the conversion of liberal Jews to the other side because of Obama's open hostility to Israel.
There are still lots of self-hating Jews when it comes to Israel.

I tried to call several times, but the line is busy, probably because they took it off the hook.
I went to the Yelp site and the local yelp has 2 positive reviews. The main yelp site is full of hateful stuff about them, hoping they go out of business and calling them Nazis, KKK, etc. plus horrible things about Christianity and Christians.
Maybe there is someone in the town to call. It's Walker, Indiana. As far as I can tell the pizzeria doesn't have a web site.

This is only because DublinDave is right. Most Republican "leaders" are cowards. They start fights they don't have the guts to finish. They try to pass laws in the dead of night, hoping to placate the "base" if no one notices. As soon as the libs decide to fight them, they fold.
Why? Because they're not principled. Democrats are principled. Their principles are immoral, but they're strongly held.
Time to hate Christians? Then go for the throat. That's what the libs do, all in lock-step. They don't attack each other.
When do Republicans go for the throat? They like to think that they're descendants of the Founding Fathers, but they're not. The Founding Fathers had guts.

My point MM, is we repeatedly perceive ourselves as losing the war when we are in fact winning it. The screaming meemies howl and enough on the right lose their nerve cuz they think the kewl kids won't like them anymore and the irritant that started the howling is withdrawn and we lose.
Leave the irritant there and let the whackos howl and threaten and vent their toxic spleens for the sane majority to see what they're like.
An outraged left is a losing one and it is a self enforcing loss as the more they squeal the more they alienate the sane majority.

Two small news items from Washington state that might cheer you up:
1. The state house, controlled by Democrats (mostly leftist Democrats), has rejected Governor Inslee's cap-and-trade plan to reduce "carbon" emissions. (They mean carbon dioxide emissions, but rarely say so.)
2. Governor Inslee has criticized Troy Kelley, our Democratic state auditor -- again. (I think that Inslee has figured out that the longer this drags on, the worse for the Democratic Party. Inslee was useless as a legislator and is hopeless as an executive, but he is a fairly good campaigner.)

Hint: NO HINT! DON'T CHEAT!

Via Twitter, the owners of the pizza place are in hiding.
Via Twitter, Richard Grenell, who MM says is gay, no gay couple would ever order pizza for their wedding.

My point MM, is we repeatedly perceive ourselves as losing the war when we are in fact winning it.
I agree.
I am fascinated to watch the Menedez matter unravel. I have no doubt the indictment was only brought because of his position on Cuba and Iran, and no doubt that Menedez is guilty as charged (as is probably every other elected official). But he didn't sound like he was stepping back at all in his press conference.

Jan, He is gay and doesn't hide it. He's the guy who voluntarily resigned when the press pointed out that (Horrors!) a gay guy was working for Romney. He is very familiar with he workings of the State department (where he worked at one time) and is an excellent follow on Twitter.

I had to-could only come up with about 35 names ... and not the ones he's looking for.
what was doubly weird is that when I went over to google to cheat I typed in "lis ... and the auto complete was "of presidents".
thinking that is enough internet for me today.

That would be like asking your professor if typing up an exam was open-book.

So reading a few comments directed at the pizza place, and it raises the question:
What's the difference between Fred Phelps and these people?
Nothing.
Blind faith in their own righteousness turns them into exactly who they hate the most.
