Tomorrow will see longtime Hillary Clinton pal Sidney Blumenthal in front of a Congressional committee. From the Washington Examiner:
Divisive Clinton confidante Sidney Blumenthal will testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi Tuesday as part of the same congressional probe that uncovered Hillary Clinton's use of a private email and server to hide her records at the State Department.
What is the committee looking at regarding Blumenthal?
Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga., told the Washington Examiner Tuesday's interview will focus on uncovering the details of how and why Blumenthal obtained intelligence in Libya.
"The committee's interest in Mr. Blumenthal is based on a large number of emails regarding Libya to former Secretary Clinton," said Westmoreland, who is a member of the select committee. "We are looking for the facts: the depth of his involvement, why he had this information, who gave it to him, etc."
A batch of Benghazi-related emails between Clinton and her staff that were published last month revealed the significant influence Blumenthal wielded over Clinton when she led the State Department.
Perhaps because I am more cynical on Mondays than the rest of the week, here's a Bold Prediction: Blumenthal's testimony will mostly mirror Hillary Clinton's infamous Benghazi testimony: "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
And that will pretty much be that.
IF I WERE ON THE SELECTION JURY: Sarah Westwood would be a nominated finalist for a Pulitzer in investigative journalism for her work on the Watchdog Team at the Washington Examiner. Her work is absolutely fantastic.
Of course he'll lie his butt off. What consequences does he face for lying? (ans. none). Telling something near truth? (Vince Foster ring a bell?)

"Vatican condemns early release of document in which pontiff calls on people to change their lifestyles and energy consumption or face grave consequences
Pope Francis will this week call for changes in lifestyles and energy consumption to avert the “unprecedented destruction of the ecosystem” before the end of this century, according to a leaked draft of a papal encyclical. In a document released by an Italian magazine on Monday, the pontiff will warn that failure to act would have “grave consequences for all of us”.
Francis also called for a new global political authority tasked with “tackling … the reduction of pollution and the development of poor countries and regions”. His appeal echoed that of his predecessor, pope Benedict XVI, who in a 2009 encyclical proposed a kind of super-UN to deal with the world’s economic problems and injustices.
According to the lengthy draft, which was obtained and published by L’Espresso magazine, the Argentinean pope will align himself with the environmental movement and its objectives. While accepting that there may be some natural causes of global warming, the pope will also state that climate change is mostly a man-made problem.
Explosive intervention by Pope Francis set to transform climate change debate
Read more
“Humanity is called to take note of the need for changes in lifestyle and changes in methods of production and consumption to combat this warming, or at least the human causes that produce and accentuate it,” he wrote in the draft. “Numerous scientific studies indicate that the greater part of the global warming in recent decades is due to the great concentration of greenhouse gases … given off above all because of human activity.”
The pope will also single out those obstructing solutions. In an apparent reference to climate-change deniers, the draft states: “The attitudes that stand in the way of a solution, even among believers, range from negation of the problem, to indifference, to convenient resignation or blind faith in technical solutions.”

Just at a time when all of our institutions and values are crumbling around us, it would have been awfully nice for this one institution, having observed two millennia of humans behaving badly toward one another, to show us a wiser and more godly way forward. But no, he'd rather hide behind the barricades and stuff rags into the bottles of gasoline so others can heave them at the rest of us.

Speaking of green fascists; this story by Willis Eschenbach at WUWT is tragicomic regarding the Ivanpah solar plant.
Beyond the hundreds of fried birds lies two larger issues. It is now asking for $500+ million grant to pay off the taxpayer funded loan which built it. Remember Google is a massive investor in this fricasseed albatross.
Even more ironic and pretty comical is the fact that it doesn't run worth beans unless they get it going every day with a huge shot of natural gas to get the steam turbine turning. He estimates a third of the juice used to generate electricity is fossil fuel rather than the sun.

It's very, very influential man's very bad and very wrong opinion.
The verb form of the word, "pontificate," as we moderns understand it colloquially, originally stems from an anti-Catholic pejorative.
In response to God's sending Jesus to walk, live, teach, and die among us, Satan performed his pale imitation twice. The first time, he sent a child/goat molester named Mo. The second time, he sent a family-abandoner named Karl. Both attempts bore fruit. The fruit of the first attempt is seen in the head-choppers doing their thing outside our borders. The fruit of the second attempt is seen pretty much everywhere you care to look.
AGW belief is marxism, plain and simple. Make no mistake: This pope serves satan.

There [currently] is no "controlling legal authority" [Thanks, AlGore, you fat, oxygen-wasting piece of shit!] that can mess with you if you decide to check whichever one you suits your fancy on any given day.
In that case, wouldn't it make sense for everyone to check a minority box? What could they do about it? Try to prosecute people for illegally causing government-coerced organizations to discriminate in favor of them?
They can't do it. First off, they'd have to create legal definitions for each "racial" category, complete with documentary standards of evidence.
But they don't use race. They use colors (is anyone actually "black?") and even languages.* In order to do it right, they'd have to go back to definitions of negroid or caucasoid "blood" lines.
This seems quite complicated. Here's a Wikipedia article about race that never mentions the words "negro" or "caucasian":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_(human_classification)
*Are Brazilians Hispanic, for example? No, they speak Portuguese. So they're "Latino." What's the precise legal definition of that?
It'd be nice to see a mass action on the part of "whites" in the spirit of Cloward and Piven.

The left never sleeps, Extraneus. If that comes to fruition, it'll just be more middle class theft* as people move out, leaving formerly nice neighborhoods to rot. Imagine having your tax dollars used against you to decimate your house's equity. Charming.
*I don't expect this to happen in truly upscale areas, such as Vail or Highland Park; but rather in middle class McMansion-type places, where folks have busted their asses to climb a few rungs - only to be screwed by the progtard bureaucrats.
And this insanity will create generational resentment against the government and the lower classes that is unparalleled.

Ex-it's not a matter of they claim. The prog sites are proclaiming that is the purpose.
Beasts-they are trying to destroy the Highland Park schools so that the kids may live in glorious homes but there is little left of substance in the schools. It is why HP is part of the TX High Performance Consortium in Orwellian language.
I speak to HP parents by email regularly.
