After celebrating going an entire vacation with no news as a good thing - now I'm starting to catch up.
Maybe I'm crazy, but among the headlines I'm seeing - almost literally no news out there right now is good.
Greece collapsing, China all of a sudden trying to beat them to it, Iran getting everything they want from nuclear negotiations, our strategy to defeat ISIS is a (not ha-ha) joke and the execution is glacial, NYSE shuts down, United Airlines shuts down, an illegal immigrant kills an innocent woman in San Francisco - using a gun belonging to a federal agent - because the federal government won't protect our border nor enforce our immigration laws.
I need another vacation.
Wait. Here's something. According to TripAdvisor I live in the city with the best hamburger restaurant in America. So I got that going for me, which is nice.
Plus a beard.

"Best hamburger restaurant" ≠ place that serves the best burgers.
The best burgers could be being slung in some hole in the wall bar or cafe that doesn't meet other unlisted criteria (family friendly, decent parking, open for dinner, etc.).
Or out of a stand along a boardwalk or on a street corner or at a ballpark.
Just saying.

Obama to deliver eulogy for Kate Steinle
Washington, D.C. The White House announced today that President Obama will fly to the west coast Friday to eulogize Kate Steinle, a 32 year white old woman who was accidently killed is San Francisco on July 3rd by a freedom seeking, poor man of color. A spokesman for the administration reported that the President was eager to give a voice to the slain woman who, had she lived, would have had access to free birth control under the Affordable Care Act. The spokesman added that the President would also be highlighting the outstanding health benefits the poor man of color would be receiving while he was being held in custody and the real reasons for his actions were adjudicated. "We simply can't let this minor incident detract us from the widespread goodness that the thousands of poor people of color coming into this country bring us," the spokesman offered. "We continue to stand by these poor people of color in offering them real monetary benefits, housing, health care, and, most importantly, voter registration," he continued.

Well, that's the issue isn't it?
The TP guy won the initial primary with a plurality at which point the NSRC and Cochran went apeshit with the smears and enlisting Dems to ensure TP guy didn't win.
Cochran, barely sentient and only able to top McDaniel by a handful of votes with the whole of GOPe and some of the Dems on his side thrashed Childers in the general with 60% of the vote, so the idea McDaniel, who at least is awake, would have likely lost seems pretty dicey, especially considering what else happened around the country in 2014.
