Demonstrators Gear Up For Presidential Candidate’s L.A. Visit With Donald Trump Piñatas

Nothing speaks to how innocent and peaceful the assimilated immigrants are like a good ol' fashioned south-of-the border public effigy beating of a prominent American citizen.

James D.

Because the President of the United States is a hateful, hate-filled, racist jackass who despises the majority of the people whom he "leads."

I would donate to any R candidate who came out and said that, directly and openly.

With another deadline on the Iran deal passed, under the Corker bill, Congress now has 60 days to figure out what a horrible deal it will be.

China, or somebody, has the ability to blackmail millions of Americans. Think if its economy gets worse, it won't sell some of this data to rogue regimes in exchange for cash.

Obama's ambitious program to use HUD money to fundamentally transform all suburbs that do not meet the administration's ideal diversity levels has been enacted with dead silence from the press.

That calls for a beer! happy Friday, all

probably a sixpack I've mentioned what kind of weasel, this guy was in the past,

Why Is Obama Ignoring Murder Of Katie Steinle?

Katie was probably a republican.

And like SC the murder was a failure of the federal government to do all those things they are supposed to do - with Obama's permission.

Plus it's summer. Obama has other things to do.

Jack is Back!

In Boston, even Frederick asked, why isn't this a time for another Declaration of Indepedence, if all this stuff from Obama is hurting the country. I was amazed he had such ideas of revolution but I think he may be on to something. The young lead the way.

Frederick, today's John Adams:)

Iggy; there is not reason for those charges other than to at some Kulaks, and you can bet if they were not White, it never should have happened at all. The case should have been dismissed outright. Given the Judge's sentiments, one wonders just why he went forward at all.

It is pure about attacking successful white people, who are not a part of the Noemnklatura.

I figure I will just plan on a hard winter and planting a garden in the spring. I am going to begin hoarding canned goods and buy a shotgun.

Can't move to a more secure area, so that's the best I can do.

Daughter wants to move to downtown (!!!) and will not listen to why it's not a good idea. Grandkids mother thinks I am nutso about this stuff. Son and his girlfriend and their kids are not paying attention.

And my doctor can't understand why my blood pressure stays on the high side.

It must be close to 10% of the US population affected by the breaches now. That's not a act of war? Don't the ChiComs have a new carrier we can sink?

I've clearly missed something - as someone who lives in Whitesboro, NY, I'm forced to wonder why you're using our village seal, which depicts a friendly wrestling match between Hugh White and an Oneida - as your avatar?

I take it ignorant, easily fake-offended people have discovered it again?

Jane on Ipad

If it's an act of war, it's Obama's war.

I'm personally offended by the concept of public employee unions, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. AFGE filed a lawsuit against OPM last month

And the NTEU filed suit two days ago

So at least someone thinks that heads should roll. Sadly, we the taxpayers are footing every penny of the bill for both sides of these suits...

Jack is Back!

Slaap lekker. tots morgen.

I have not yet received notification from OPM about my data having been taken, but based on the reports I'm certain I'm affected by at least one of them (having been active duty in the past and working for a government contractor now). I guess they're going to offer us lifetime identity theft protection..not that that will help our family members who get kidnapped by a foreign government in order to put pressure on us to turn spy.

Miss Marple

I am pretty much convinced that either we have the worst cyber security on the planet OR Obama is just sending the data to our enemies.

Either one is plausible.

Funny you mention the Redskins...Ray Halbritter, the current head of the Oneida Indian Nation (their name for it) joined the anti-Redskins parade last fall, but as best I can tell has never said boo about the Whitesboro village emblem.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

I'm offended a redskin is named Ray Halbritter.
Who do I petition to force him to change it to something more appropriate like...let's see, Tonto is taken...how bout Chief Adirondack Chair or Eight Place Oneida Flatware Setting?

Eric in Boise

Don't the ChiComs have a new carrier we can sink?

This admin doesn't roll that way. They'll probably just suggest we curtail our Wal-Mart purchases for a week.

>>>I like the suggestion from someone here that Walker just wanted to keep him from, say, Jeb's or Christie's campaign. Wish I could believe it, but it will have that effect.

that was me. I had mentioned that it was possible he hired him for that reason, and Rick added to it something to the effect of "if you can't shoot a rabid dog keeping him in your kennel isn't a bad choice". My thought is that he can keep him a. on the payroll working on attack plans for the different dem candidates (keeps him busy) and b. set him up in an office far away from the DC-NYC media market (which is a trick Dems have used quite well in national campaigns).

Better to have him in the tent pissing out then outside the tent pissing in.

Another passing thought is that with the election ... good grief ... 486 days away, maybe Dayspring wants to work with the Walker campaign for whatever reason. This dead horse is ready for the Elmers factory.

Noticed your comment also. On the narrow issue of immigration, with Trump hitting a nerve and catching a wave, is that PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF BEING LIED TO BY THE INCOMPETENTS IN WASHINGTON.

More importantly immigration touches on national security, economics, public health, crime, and quality of life. People have been lied to about it for 30 years (like how impossible it is to build a fence ... the Romans built Hadrian's Wall in 6 years about MM years ago to keep out riff-raff... or that "diversity" makes us stronger)-how many more murders, felony DUIs, overcrowded schools with non English speaking kids who are not even vaccinated and all of that putting ever more pressure on scarce local resources are people supposed to tolerate (and for our rulers it isn't so much tolerance, but acceptance, they are after). DC is turning the rest of the US into the 3rd World's dumping ground and they get bitchy when people start complaining about it.

Our betters are denying the obvious-take for example some of "the children" that came across the border last year-young men with beer guts and need of a shave claiming to be 16 year olds. And the administration and the whole of the federal bureaucracy played along as they dumped them in the dead of night in unsuspecting communities all over the country. And these so called law abiding, hard working people, given summons to appear before an immigration judge some 90ish percent didn't bother to show, nor would it matter if they did show, because they wouldn't be removed anyway-even with the outlandish lies they were telling.

And when people in those communities used as dumping grounds started to complain about it they were called racists and told to pipe down.

I linked last night Codevilla's brilliant Spectator piece from 2010 which lays out where we are-as relevant today as it was 5 years ago-more so by my reading. It says better what Ace was trying to tease out in his big think piece the other day.

>>>In short, the ruling class has a party, the Democrats. But some two-thirds of Americans -- a few Democratic voters, most Republican voters, and all independents -- lack a vehicle in electoral politics.

Sooner or later, well or badly, that majority's demand for representation will be filled.<<<

Trump might just understand markets well enough that he thinks he can fill a demand.

Drudge links to an old gray whore lady article about the Donald's appearance in Phoenix tomorrow:

The planned speech is already attracting a storm of attention. Even as city leaders have asked Mr. Trump “to stage his hate-filled circus” elsewhere, ticket requests have been so high the campaign has moved the speech from the swank Arizona Biltmore hotel to the convention center downtown.

“Mr. Trump certainly has a First Amendment right to bluster as much as he wants, and even to pander to our worst instincts in a sad attempt to win votes at the expense of hard-working, honorable, law-abiding Latinos,” Daniel Valenzuela, a Democratic councilman and the city’s vice mayor, said on Thursday. “However, we should draw the line at allowing him to use the Phoenix Convention Center — a public building funded by all of our taxpayers’ dollars.”

nextcube, when you do get it I want you to notice the clever wording they use. Your info "may" have been compromised. That info "may" include ssn, tax info, etc. Then it goes into a Publisher's Clearing House mode with your own personalised winning code.

You are then directed to enter that code and your personal information into this site "http://www.csid.com/opm" which sometimes comes back with "too many server redirects." I RECOMMEND NO ONE GOES THERE TO BROWSE AROUND.

Doesn't this whole mess at least give an affected individual the legal standing to find out what exactly has been compromised?

At this point this crisis is not being wasted by their stern letter encouraging you to sign up with a third party and give them permission to access your personal information on the basis that you may or may not have been compromised.

if the Chinese were not behind it I would expect a pretty forceful denial from them. When the administration blamed the North Koreans for the Sony hack ... sadly the North's denial was more believable than whatever fable the administration was spinning.

just a stunning level of incompetence and even more stunning the level ... they have that much data on that many people and they were that careless with it.

true, the fact that this happened just a few months after Snowden was a guest in Hong Kong raises flags, they say it took another six months to pin
point the extent of the problem, and I have a bridge. . .

>>>Doesn't this whole mess at least give an affected individual the legal standing to find out what exactly has been compromised?<<<

most likely not. Privacy Act (and article via the WaPo) said it was the most likely route but OPM is sticking to their guns it was a hack (criminal activity) and not an inside job (willful disclosure). Coming up with a cute neologism and modified limited hangouts points to it being a multi year, multi person inside job.

maybe it's a poor translation, although nowadays.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--I want you to notice the clever wording they use. Your info "may" have been compromised.--

lol ... may=no standing.

a round about way would be to obtain your records from OPM or DSS. OPM would be less generous to you than they were to their Chinese friends but it could at least give you a point of departure.

Why Is Obama Ignoring Murder Of Katie Steinle?

Perhaps for the same reason he has ignored the National Epidemic of Child Abuse and Neglect that often causes children like Michael Graham-Singleton, teen son of Baltimore mom Toya Graham, to join his school mates in attempting to cause grave harm to police officers charged with protecting peaceful people from the angers and frustrations of abused children who develop into angry, frustrated, unpredictable teens and adults.

First toilet paper, then food (or milk or something). Life goes on without these things.

But now, per Twitter, Venezuela is out of beer.

This is a true apocalypse-- beer is the foundation of civilization and Venezuela has run out and can't buy any more. If any nation needs a beer, it's a nation without tp.

"Words fail me . . . Our Ambassador in the Dominican Republic having a big gay pool party in honor of the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage."

Walmart to ‘melt’ class rings bearing Confederate flag rather than complete orders

An Arkansas woman who went to pick up the class ring she ordered from Walmart left disappointed, after store officials told her the retailer's new policy barred them from turning the item over -- because it bore an image of the Confederate flag.

Elaine Glidewell told KFSM someone from the store in Fort Smith called her to pick up the ring she'd ordered for her nephew, but when she arrived on Tuesday, a clerk told her she couldn’t have it. The ring had been ordered before Walmart stopped selling items bearing images of the flag, in the wake of controversy that stemmed from a racially-charged shooting in South Carolina.

“I wanted to cry,” Glidewell told KFSM, adding that the store clerk said the ring would be "melted."

Glidewell said she paid $320 for the ring and was going to present it to her nephew, who recently graduated. He had expressed interest in a design that bore a Rebel mascot that incorporates the Confederate battle flag. She got her money back, but no ring.

“They wouldn’t let me have the ring. It had a note on it, was in a plastic bag, it said do not sell. It was signed by the store manager,” Glidewell said.

That story must bring a tear to the eye of anyone mourning the Charlestonians.

California is now latino passing whites.

The problem isn't latino vs. whites....the problem is citizens of other countries vs. Americans & our federal government refusing to do its job.

All Americans - no matter their race or heritage - want safe, prosperous communities. Why should ANY American have to put up with the lawlessness & the cost of supporting citizens of other countries??

The bad guy in this mess is the federal government.
I don't blame the citizens of other countries for trying to come here.
And the "bad guy" sure isn't regular American citizens.
It is the feds. that have refused to do their damn job. It is the feds. that don't send the illegals back to their home country IMMEDIATELY. It is the State Dept. that refuses to penalize countries that won't take their citizens back.

Psychologists reportedly collaborated with officials on abusive interrogations

(Same reaction if they reported that "doctors" weren't consulted.)

Bush should have referred to these people as panty-waists from the get-go.

only comfy chairs are allowed, Ext,

The Guardian, citing sources with knowledge to the report, writes a slew of firings are expected to be handed down at the association. Several officials are likely to be on their way out. The paper reports APA’s ethics chief Stephen Behnke is one of the officials who is likely to be fired stemming from the revelations. Behnke reportedly relied heavily on psychologists to design and implement abusive techniques.

The report says Behnke and others coordinated with Defense officials to issue guidelines to psychologists after public revelations about the abuse of prisoners in Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison.

The Guardian also reports the evidence could merit and FBI investigation into criminal wrongdoing by the APA, according to its sources. However, it wouldn’t be intelligence officials being investigated or senior officials in the Bush administration, but rather the psychologists who directed them.

The association indicated in a statement to The Post Friday it plans to adopt sweeping changes across the board, including potentially banning psychologists from participating in future interrogations of people held in custody by the military or intelligence officials.

Potentially? Please.

A few things on the OPM leak. First, the danger is not primarily to individuals who've had data compromised. The main risk is handing a fully searchable computer listing of sensitive national security positions (arranged by billet description, clearance required and type of investigation), along with descriptions of possible vulnerabilities. The ramifications to counterespionage ought to be obvious. If the Chinese (presuming they are the ones who hacked it) want to spy on a particular program, they have a ready-made diagram on how to proceed.

Second, giving the Chinese grief about spying on us is a bit silly. Of course they spy on us (and yes, we spy on them, too). I've heard reporters claim they had no duty to protect government secrets--that was the government's job, and if the reporter had it, it was no longer a secret. Might argue that one a bit, but if the reporter is a Chinese spy instead, it's pretty obvious where the fault lies. I'm hardly against stealing more of their secrets, but not in retaliation . . . more because we should steal them anyway.

Lastly, I think we're arguing about the wrong security measures. Encrypting the files might have made them impossible for the common hacker to read, but a government can almost certainly break any code in time. What brainwave decided to put a database of all SF-86s on line? (And then hire foreign nationals for site security [groan].) Whatever convenience is gained, the vulnerability ought to be obvious, and it's hardly worthwhile.
