Some interesting but irrelevant news from The Hill:
Poll: Majority want Congress to reject Iran nuclear deal
So what? it will take a super-majority in both houses of Congress to derail the Obama/Kerry Peace Prize Express.

In a Trump administration we'll have a super majority. A terrific, really fantastic majority.

henry,
Sorry, didn't see your post. Beat me to it.
Its only beginning. The UK has sent police over to Calais to work with the French to mitigate the migrant crisis. Only way to do that is send them all back. But that won't happen.
Another herding of cats, at the taxpayers expense.

On topic!
Nice to see Melissa Francis on FOX Business tell creepy Admin apologist Alan Colmes that he's wrong on the Iran Side Deals:
Melissa: They are supposed to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to establish a baseline as to where the program is by December. In this first step we see that they are not furnishing scientists, they are not furnishing their Military leaders that they're supposed to. We're already hearing from the Japanese Diplomats that they're not complying already, Alan.
Colmes: At any point we have the ability to go back and use any option we ever had, the Military option is already there. This doesn't take anything off the table. And by the way, there's an AP report about this inspection, that Iran would do it's own inspections, that turned out that was debunked.
Melissa: No it wasn't. No it wasn't debunked, I have it, I have it right in front of me. The exact document is on FOX News website, and it says right there, Iran will provide the samples, Iran will video the locations, they'll take photos, it wasn't debunked at all.
Colmes: The IAEA Inspection, the IAEA has...
Melissa: No, not with them. They're going to bring it back to the IAEA and say here are our photos. It wasn't debunked in the slightest.
Colmes: The IAEA has 24/7 access. That's...
Melissa: No they don't. They don't even get to go there. I've got to move on tho'.
------------------------
Good job Melissa. (Other 2 panelists laughing at Colmes.)

"So what? it will take a super-majority in both houses of Congress to derail the Obama/Kerry Peace Prize Express."
True. As of now, the odds are heavily against defeating the deal in Congress. (I'd say less than 1 in 10, perhaps less than 1 in 100.) And not entirely clear what would happen if it were defeated.
However, House members, senators, and presidential candidates will be running for office in 2016 -- and this will be an issue in that election.
(I've been thinking about this both ways, because I plan to write letters to Senators Murray and Cantwell, and to Congresswoman DelBene. I will write them one way, if I am trying to persuade, and another way, if I am trying to make it a bigger issue for their next campaigns.)
Most political writers seem to think this will be an issue only in heavily Jewish districts.
They are wrong. It will be an issue with all those who support Israel, and (an overlapping group) all those who believe in peace through strength.
(Oh, and the letters? Right now, I am planning to write them straight and, if necessary, as seems likely, follow them up with political posts.)

Did the rare morning dog walk so caught Rush. In hour 3 he played the clip I've heard 20 times of Jeb pushing back at the reporter, explaining why he's using the term "Anchor Baby" until he hears a better term, but the clip I've heard multiple times was always cut short just after "Don't yell at me behind my ear..." giving the impression that Jeb's response was tough, rivaling Trump's tough, unapologetic response.
But Rush played the full response from Jeb, and the clip finishes this way, with Jeb once again instinctually distancing himself from having the guts to personally use the term:
REPORTER: Do you regret using the term "anchor babies" yesterday on the program?
JEB: No, I didn't. I don't regret it.
REPORTER: You don't regret it?
JEB: No. Do you have a better term?
REPORTER: I'm asking you. A lot of folks find it offensive.
JEB: You give me a better term and I'll use it. I'm serious. Don't yell at me behind my ear, though.
REPORTER: Sorry about that. The language "anchor baby," is that not bombastic?
JEB: No, it isn't. Give me another word. Here's the deal. What I said was it's commonly referred to that. That's what I said. I didn't use it as my own language. What we ought to do is protect the 14th -- you want to get to the policy for a second? I think that people born in this country ought to be American citizens. Okay, now we got that over with.
The clip is here.
Once again, "Leadership material", not in evidence.
I just pray no reporter asks him about "Midget Raisins:"
I didn't use the term "Midget Raisins," as my own language. I said what it's commonly referred to. That's what I said. Give me a better term for "Midget Raisins."

The Marines on the train is even a better illustration of cultural differences than my story about dinner at the German owned resort in Jamaica.
The Europeans usually defer to someone "in authority". Many on the train would have died waiting.
American culture is more hands-on, self-reliant. The Marines just took care of business.

Krugman: Believe it or not, many economists argue that the economy needs a sufficient amount of public debt out there to function well. And how much is sufficient? Maybe more than we currently have. That is, there’s a reasonable argument to be made that part of what ails the world economy right now is that governments aren’t deep enough in debt.

REPORTER: "The American born child of an undocumented immigrant."
TRUMP: You want me to say that, okay. I'll use the word "anchor baby." Excuse me. I'll use the word "anchor baby."

Somebody called in to Dana Loesh's show and said that Latinos find the termoffensive because they think it means "dragging the country down."
So, because they do notunderstand the origin of American colloquialism because of not being native English speakers, we are supposed to avoid using the term.
How about EXPLAINING it to them and telling them they are wrong?
It means "hold in place", as in a US citizen baby holds a place for the parents as relatives who can legally reside in the US?
I am sick of this carp.

About a week ago Team Jeb announced a big townhall event in Pensacola next Wednesday with 10,000 expected. Mobile and Pensacola are only 60 mi. apart. I think Trump is purposely messing with Jeb's head. Trump also tweeted today his invite to speak at a private event at Clint Eastwood's CA home.

The Panel discussion is on the use of the term "Anchor Baby's", and the actual policy of illegal immigrants and Anchor babies.
I wish Mark Levin would be invited to that panel to kick ass and take names, by simply explaining the Constitution. Laura Ingraham does a decent job pushing back against DrK, who is positive that Birthright citizenship is settled Law.
Laura Ingraham Back to the point of why Trump is resonating. Trump's rise annoys a lot of people in this town. And I get it. But the people in this town who've been propping up 2 parties that have failed the Middle Class, failed on the Globalism game, where these trade deals have absolutely not delivered what they've promised to deliver to the Middle Class, failed them on enforcing the border, failed them on all these ideas that America was going to be exporting values around the world and things were going to get a lot calmer. We see our power diminishing. We see our economic power diminishing on the home front. People are frustrated. They're ready to throw in with a guy who has all these conflicting positions, because the guys who said they were going to be consistent, weren't.
DrK: It's easy to go in and attack Washington. It's a clever dodge. The issue here is Birthright Citizenship. The issue is not the citizenship itself, it's the chain migration, and that ought to be what we are discussing.
Ingraham: And Bush and Obama didn't stop it. Neither stopped it. Neither did McConnell or Boehner when they had the chance. They're not stopping it, and people are tired of it.
DrK: But that does not change the fact that talking about changing the Birthright Citizenship that's been around for a 150 years is a sideshow for the real issue. I don't care who talked about it, or who hasn't...
Ingraham: Most people don't think it's a side show Charles. Most people actually think it's important. It's important that when people break into your home you don't allow them to force you to take care of their family. Most people wouldn't do that in their own home and they don't want us to do it in the United States.
DrK: You think Chain Migration is an issue?
Ingraham: It's a huge issue! In addition to the Birthright problem. I've talked about all these issues and have been for about 14 years on the radio.

The best thing about Trump, even more so than kicking the DC elites in the teeth is the exposure of the fastidious, GOPe, Marquis de Queensberry (and I do mean Queens) leadership at the top of the GOP and just how pervasive it is. Even people otherwise claiming to be rock ribbed conservatives get the vapors if he blurts out what half of America has been screaming for decades.
Having said that I'm still on Cruz control and will remain there and consider Trump a nut but a very effective and perceptive one.

It's a question of access, whether all of those individuals had Clearances to handle this information and whether in the interim it was held in a Secure Facility known as a SCIF, and we know that that is simply not the case here...
...The bottom line from the Intelligence Communities Inspector General, this is an independent 'watchdog', is that it was Classified at the time it was sent, and the markings don't matter. Because there were no markings, that's not like some "Get Out Of Jail Free" card.

What exactly is a "flash in the pan"? When the vegetables catch on fire?

Deglazing a pan with some kind of alcohol, Jane. Flash.

Jane, somehow I don't think it is tied to the original flintlock firing sequence of the metaphor.... or maybe Quartz in a gold prospector's pan... too much male patriarchy either way. (I'm pretty sure it's the latter, though the gun reference would be more fun).

Gold panning term, Jane--sometimes it's not gold it's just a flash in the pan.

Explain 'flash in the plan' when real bullets escape the barrel. Heh, wounded, by the flash in the pain.
Anchors don't drag ships down, and I doubt immigrants think that. Who made up that canard?
