In the recent debate Donald Trump (after a moderator prompt) took a shot at Jeb Bush for speaking in Spanish on the campaign trail. Jeb's response:
BUSH: Well, I've been speaking English here tonight, and I'll keep speaking English.
But the simple fact is, if a high school kid asks me a question in Spanish, a school - by the way, a voucher program that was created under my watch, the largest voucher program in the country, where kids can go to a Christian school, and they ask me a question in Spanish, I'm going to show respect and answer that question in Spanish.
Even though they do speak English, and even though they embrace American values.
Snore. Next time, he should go with a simple "Sure I speak Spanish, Donald, but you'll understand me just fine when I tell you 'hasta la vista, baby'".

Jeb left office on Jan. 2, 2007. All his "I did this and that" examples are long ago and far away when he was FL governor. In the 9 yrs. since, he's enriched himself via corporate boards and advocated around the country for Common Core and "immigration reform", none of which he voluntarily mentions now.

He should be on the no-fly list.

I'd send Ahmed some money if I were a Muslim.
The tell, though, is how they act as if the fact that they're under suspicion is beyond the pale. Rather than blame other Muslims for this, they fight the suspicion, proving that they don't blame Muslim terrorists, and in fact support them.
What could be more obvious?

I grew up Italian in NYC, and I hated the mafia guys. Due to their crimes, regular everyday Italians were looked at as if we were the same as them.
Even though movies like the Godfather romanticized it, I hated those bastards even as a kid, and once when I was on a jury I gladly convinced the whole jury to convict one of them after an initial 11 to 1 vote.
I get no sense that Muslims have the same feelings. Quite the contrary.

jib-I met a flight attendant years ago who regularly flew the dc to la route and she said bab's density was what all the flight attendants on the route talked about.
Cruz would do well to get a sense of humor about being noticeably bright. And as I have pointed out in the past with links from within last two years he is no conservative economically and seems quite fond of dirigisme. If you want to be considered a genuine conservative do not attend "Bipartisan" Leadership summits that CAP and Open Society types seem to be running.
I frankly wish all the candidates would stay off my radar. It is depressing to be tracking a troubling idea and have someone who is know running either at the forum or embracing it wholeheartedly.
I would put Walker in the latter which is why I was so troubled by his statement in SC the other day.

Old Lurker, the George Will article was good (and not as bombastic as usual) -- I enjoyed it. To me, from everything I have read, the Pope is a communist. People of his ilk only want control. They can control poor, miserable, peasants--while they retain their exalted positions and riches (plus year-round air conditioning.) They can't, however, control free, vibrant, upwardly mobile, healthy, educated people. No wonder they hate capitalism.

The Dallas player went out of his way to block the punter in the side and front of his body. Any helmet contact was very much incidental.

From the pic, it looks like the Hungarian border guards are around 15 feet apart.
Assuming our border was similarly guarded, it would take around 700,000 border guards to guard the entire American-Mexican border.

I think it's worth contrasting how the MSM and the Left deal with these 2 items:
---The Planned Parenthood Fetus Video mentioned by Carly, and
---The Secret UN/Iran Side Agreements.
In the case of the PP Video, which is publicly available to anyone who wants to click on it and watch it, it is obvious that no one in the MSM has watched it, nor are they interested in watching it. From Chris Wallace to George Stephanopoulos, the talking point is that the video does not exist, and Carly must apologize for lying about it. Therefore regardless of the evidence of your ears and eyes, anybody who doesn't accept the fact that the media says the video does not exist is partisan, is ignorant, and is perpetuating a lie.
On the UN Side Deals with Iran, we know that neither the President nor John Kerry has read them, nor has any member of Congress. Yet we are told that some anonymous bureaucrat somewhere, has read them, and that this anonymous bureaucrat has assured us that though no one else will be allowed to read these Secret Side Deals, there is absolutely nothing in these Side Deals that constitutes any problem with the US/Iran agreement. Therefore, on the basis of no information whatever, we are all to accept the Administrations word on the veracity of this claim, and anybody who doesn't accept that fact is partisan, ignorant, and perpetuating a lie.
Samo, samo.
