Sarah Silverman weighs in on political correctness run amuck on our college campuses, then steps in it:
Jerry Seinfeld set off a bit of a firestorm earlier this year when he said he had stopped performing comedy at colleges because the students were generally too “politically correct.”... But comedian Sarah Silverman has a different view.
...
“To a degree, everyone’s going to be offended by something, so you can’t just decide on your material based on not offending anyone,” she conceded. “But, I do think it’s important, as a comedian, as a human, to change with the times.” Silverman added, “I think it’s a sign of being old if you’re put off by that.”
As an example, she cited her use of the word “gay” — as in, “That’s so gay.” Silverman once defended her use of the word as a stand-in for “lame,”...
Oh, so mocking the alternatively enabled is still acceptable? Someone is going to organize a limp-out at her next campus appearance.

Well,I had my morning snort of derision while reading the Bangor Daily News. The "trans-gender" who stabbed to death a woman in a Shaw's supermarket has been indicted for murder. The headline says she/he is a "resident" of Saco, not that she/he is a"trans-gender" of Saco.
The other accused criminals in the crime and court section are identified as "a man" or "men".
The media thinks we don't notice the political correctness.

Via Instapundit is this amazing paragraph from one of his links:
Merkel’s open door policy toward the migrants has earned plaudits from around the world but appears to have sown discord at home. The leader of the Bavarian CSU, which is in coalition with Merkel Christian Democratic Union, attacked the Chancellor in an interview on Friday, saying her decision was “a mistake that will keep us busy for a long time.” Privately, officials close to Merkel apparently concede that they did not anticipate that the Chancellor’s remarks would have such resonance and would encourage more migrants to try to get to Germany.
(emphasis mine)
In case there was any question why so many people are ready to support an outsider blowhard who has no policy ideas and no real idea of how government works, your answer is right there.
Highly educated, elite, experienced, expert leader of the most powerful nation in Europe, and her team of elite, highly-educated, super-intelligent, handpicked advisors...
...couldn't figure out that opening the welcome mat to hundreds of thousands of migrants/refugees/invaders would only encourage more?
A five-year-old could have told them that it would! MY CAT could have told them it would!
Maybe the reason so many people are willing to listen to Trump is that it's now clear beyond any doubt that the experts, the professionals, the super-educated, policy-wonk, ultra-elites...are a bunch of utter f**king morons who don't have the common sense God gave to the average squirrel.

I can understand getting confused on how many time outs Dallas had - the announcers weren't clear, either. But that shouldn't have mattered.
Whether Dallas had 0 time outs or all 3, going from a 3 point lead to a 10 point lead with 1:50 to go is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS something you would want to do. There is no question there. There is no decision there. There is no debate there. There is no doubt there.
How someone who's played football his entire life, who's won two Super Bowls, could get that wrong...it almost does make me wonder if the game was fixed, because it's just so far beyond believable that ANYONE could have been that stupid.

Once the invaders are inside a country, in Europe or here, how do authorities know where to send them back to, unless there's proof of residence elsewhere? And doesn't the "elsewhere" country have to agree to accept returnees? The "impracticality" aspect of expulsion of mass invaders seems to be where Carson differs with Trump, unlike Jeb, Kasich, and Rubio who consider acceptance of arriving aliens to be a moral obligation.

Cecil,
You have to tie the equipment inventory to the intelligence "discovery" to discern the propaganda effort to promote IS from JV to varsity. Mahometan maintenance should already have taken care of a reasonable number of vehicles - the Russian Air Force must feel a little urgency if they want to get in a good round of target practice. They appear to have a decent defensive perimeter established at Latakia, now all they need is sufficient fuel and bombs.

I wouldn't exactly lie back and think of Teh Donald if that's what you're driving at.
Ew, just grossed myself out.

Did Sanders really make that deodorant comment? Folds nicely with the post I made earlier this morning re: capitalism: he doesn't have to worry about how many brands are available - if there are too many, it'll self-correct very soon.

Speaking of migrants,I've mentioned how much northern New England has changed in fifty years. Vermont suffered the most from the invasion of hippies in the 1970s. I remember a family camping trip to Vermont in the mid 1960s,when we visited the Calvin Coolidge homestead. If you remember your history,Cal was sworn in by his father on Aug.2,1923 while on vacation at the farm. It took another 50 years for hippies to take over the state. Fewer hippies came to Maine,if they did, they were acolytes of Scott Nearing. NH changed most drastically in the 1980s and 1990s,due to the invasion from the south. Massachusetts. :)
