What is Hillary saying now?
The NY Times tiptoes around the evolution of her email explanations. I adore this:
Initial Statement
March 10, 2015 "We went through a thorough process to identify all of my work-related emails and delivered them to the State Department,” she said. “I have absolute confidence that everything that could be in any way connected to work is now in the possession of the State Department.” — statement by Mrs. Clinton at United Nations news conference
Later comments
June 25, 2015 It was disclosed in June that there were 15 emails between Mrs. Clinton and her longtime adviser Sidney Blumenthal, mainly dealing with events in Libya, that Mrs. Clinton did not provide to the State Department. In response to that development, a Clinton campaign official said, “We do not have a record of other correspondence between her and Mr. Blumenthal beyond that which was turned over to the State Department.” The official added, “We do not recognize many of those materials and cannot speak to their origin.” — The New York Times
...
Analysis
The campaign has not said what happened to these emails. But its failure to turn them over to the State Department has raised questions about whether Mrs. Clinton gave the department all the messages pertaining to her work as the nation’s top diplomat.
Questions have been raised! And answered, obviously - there is no question that not all the relevant emails were turned over. The only question might be, was this some sort of archiving error, or, well, editorial discretion as exercised by Team Clinton?

"September 13, 2012
In prepared remarks at a State Department function, in direct contradiction to what she privately told the Egyptian Prime Minister just a day earlier, Hillary Clinton again blames the anti-Muslim video:
Unfortunately, however, over the last 24 hours, we have also seen violence spread elsewhere. Some seek to justify this behavior as a response to inflammatory, despicable material posted on the Internet. As I said earlier today, the United States rejects both the content and the message of that video. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. At our meeting earlier today, my colleague, the foreign minister of Morocco, said that all prophets should be respected because they are all symbols of our humanity, for all humanity."
....said the lady that enjoyed the Broadway show, "The Book of Mormon".
BTW, I do not reject the content or the message of that crappy, low budget video "Innocence of Muslims". That video has more truth about Mohammad & Islam than we get from our lousy MFM or our politicians.

maryrose,
Thinking people will come to your conclusion.
The problem is that network news, influential newspapers and many bloggers on the left consider her a success because she didn't cry and answered questions in a "presidential" manner.
So despite her lies being revealed, I do not think it will move the numbers much.

Hi, Miss M and Jane,
Still on the road till Halloween night. They are working us pretty hard this trip, but most of the layovers are in fun towns so I am being a bad boy and am worse than normal at keeping up. Currently in Taipei watching the Ball Game in Chinese, but off to Singapore this afternoon where we finally get 2 days to hang around the pool. With stuff like the Hillary hearings going on it gets tougher than normal trying to catch up since the JOM threads get longer and longer.
Our big news is that the tentative contract with the Company was voted on and approved by the crew force and it lasts for 6 years. I'll be retired before another one comes up for a vote, so I shouldn't have to deal with another one of these long drawn out Union affairs in this lifetime. Yippee!
Miss M,
Love your food pyramid. I have finally found a decent 24 hour Pizzaria in Guangzhou, so I think your diagram is on the money. The beer's still terrible, but what you gonna' do? It's China.

Hopefully I will get my act together and go back to the Church.

Thanks. One of the fun things is walking the west village since it is made up of little known streets and ways. The place is full of cafes, bars, restaurants, wine shops, botiiques, all open in the evening for the curious buyer. So many great little places to imbide and eat. Frederick loves NYC and so far it is safe where we are.
Tomorrow our nephew from Antwerp is coming over from his hovel in New Jersey with his buddy for brunch. He is here on a visit from his graduate studies at Marquette University. I would like him to meet GUS and henry but I don't know if those two could keep up with this kids wit and knowledege:)

The other night we were heading northeast about 4 AM from Guangzhou to Tokyo. Venus popped up on our nose super bright, and I recalled Iggy saying something about a conjunction happening, so my partner pulled out the astronomical function on his iPad and aimed it at Venus, and it showed us that almost in line were Jupiter and a faint Mars. Cool!
That got the 2 of us wondering which planet is closest to Earth---Venus or Mars? Because of the new "Martian" movie and all the tales of Mars starting back with Edgar Rice Burroughs, I thought it would be Mars.
Shows what I know. Apparently it is Venus that at it's closest approach is the nearest planet to Earth, but then you read that as a consequence of the elliptical orbits of Venus, Earth, and Mars as they all jockey around the Sun, that whichever one is closest to Earth swaps from time to time. Having thought about that it makes a lot of sense. But then on one of the Astronomy websites I read this:
On rare occasions, Mercury can be the closest planet. For example, over 2,000 years ago, Mercury was only around 35 million miles away from our own planet. However, occurrences like this are extremely rare and can happen thousands of years apart.
Who'd a thunk it? Not me. So if it can be believed, What is the Closest Planet to Earth – Mars, Venus, or Mercury?
Jack,
Sky and Telescope has a story up I can't link about The Conjunction that says that the best alignment of the 3 planets will occur this weekend, so now you and Frederick might have some interesting stuff to quiz the Antwerp nephew on.

The good news is that if the GOP doesn't nominate Tomato Can #3, he/she can use her unlikeable demeanor on display and complete lack of regret over the role her inebriated lack of leadership had in the deaths of four people much better than her and her ilk to add to the public's present level of revulsion.

Liberals are afraid of the Muslims and bend over backwards not to offend them - even offering them multi-million dollar jury settlements for spurious claims. Christians seldom fight back, so they are made fun of, or taunted if they get too threatening with their clean-living attitudes.

Levin played Forest Gump's interview last night and it proved that the doofus learned absolutely nothing from the voters in his district's pocket of sanity in an otherwise deranged state sending him packing. Even the Beeb's interviewer sounded incredulous at the weird rationalizations offered by somebody who had all the advantages at his disposal.
I was hoping he might learn from what happened and act accordingly but, like most of the RINO herd, is unable to recognize that he lost contact with the people he was elected to represent. He viewed himself more a member of Team RINO than his district. He seems to want to run for governor or the Senate. Judging from the trash the state regularly populates those offices with, maybe he'll be more successful. Perhaps the same consultants who squandered the incumbency advantage are filling his empty head with those pieces of chocolate. Either way, I'm sure his former district will relish voting against him again.

"Such clear evidence of lying to the American people would be considered a “smoking gun” if it were presented against a Republican. Presented against a Democratic presidential contender, it receives no mention in the Washington Post’s lead story about the hearing. Nor does Hillary’s email to Chelsea."
Unbelievable.

Ext, since she's programmed to self-destruct, any new-found energy will speed up her demise :)

MM-I have been reading a sociological theory developed in the 60s to create the consditions for the political class to engage in societal guidance. It made the point that it is far easier to force the transformation and build up an 'authentic consensus' for the necessity of change if there are nominally two competing visions.
Three or more decreases efficiency and one appears authoritarian so counter-resistance flares. Hard to read that passage and not think of Cantor, Romney, Jeb, Ryan, McConnell, etc. The love of Bipartisanship and making public policy seem like the Holy Grail.
I keep having to take a break because the current parallels are so acute. probably why it came to my attention in the first place from a server in Europe, but concerning the US and a vision for China and the USSR as well.

daddy @ 10:55 just amazing. Since I get up before dawn five days a week, I have been bedazzled by this show in the skies. Didn't see any meteors on Thursday however.
