What is Hillary saying now?
The NY Times tiptoes around the evolution of her email explanations. I adore this:
Initial Statement
March 10, 2015 "We went through a thorough process to identify all of my work-related emails and delivered them to the State Department,” she said. “I have absolute confidence that everything that could be in any way connected to work is now in the possession of the State Department.” — statement by Mrs. Clinton at United Nations news conference
Later comments
June 25, 2015 It was disclosed in June that there were 15 emails between Mrs. Clinton and her longtime adviser Sidney Blumenthal, mainly dealing with events in Libya, that Mrs. Clinton did not provide to the State Department. In response to that development, a Clinton campaign official said, “We do not have a record of other correspondence between her and Mr. Blumenthal beyond that which was turned over to the State Department.” The official added, “We do not recognize many of those materials and cannot speak to their origin.” — The New York Times
...
Analysis
The campaign has not said what happened to these emails. But its failure to turn them over to the State Department has raised questions about whether Mrs. Clinton gave the department all the messages pertaining to her work as the nation’s top diplomat.
Questions have been raised! And answered, obviously - there is no question that not all the relevant emails were turned over. The only question might be, was this some sort of archiving error, or, well, editorial discretion as exercised by Team Clinton?
Well NBC is out of the blocks with Hillary won today.

I think anyone with an objective bone in their body will recognize the mistake Republicans made with this marathon grilling. By going after Hillary for 11 hours and failing to bring her down you've actually mythologized her.Every Liberal, even the ones that didn't care for her are now in awe of her.Big mistake. In one day you've made Liberals fall in love with Hillary Clinton, something Hillary Clinton has been unable to do for 30 years.
But you've also advertised to the world that this is a bitch who does not rattle. And that as a campaign ad for President of the United States is something that all the super pac money in the world can't buy. There are Republicans who now begrudgingly respect Hillary Clinton just because of her survival chops.
I should work for Republicans.I'm just so smart that sometimes I floor myself.

If the goal is to prevent Obama from doing more harm to the country, then, yes, absolutely, sending him any bills he will sign without a fight is clearly far. If he's happy with it, then it's guaranteed to be something that will hurt the economy or damage national security or under, one the Constitution further. We've got seven years of a track record to prove that.
More broadly, sending things they know Obama will veto should ideally be only one part of a larger, coordinated Republican strategy, which would include legislation as only one tool among many. And it could have differing goals based on the issue - trying to move public opinion is one, or forcing vulnerable Dem legislators to cast tough votes, or putting forward bills that. benefit one Dem interest group over another, creating and exploiting wedges within their party.
These guys are supposed to be the professionals. They're the experienced, veteran chess-masters while we're the crazed, pajama-wearing, basement-dwelling hobbits. Why can't they figure this stuff out for themselves?

Speaking of ideological purity, 404 just defunded the military because domestic spending wasn't increased enough and moving terrorists from Gitmo to the U.S. wasn't included. Why do people here buy into the purity crap which is peddled by the MFM and RINOs when 404 demands complete capitulation on everything placed in front of him?

I recommend reading that Paul Mirengoff point on Ryan. Hiss vision of the House as an instrument for positive government innovations suggests that he may not be a Leftist but he does believe in the progressive idea of governments as guiding society.
He doesn't want genuinely conservative Congressmen objecting to this affirmative agenda merely because it is anathema to a majority of their constituents. Progressive and authoritarian and not a dimwit like Boehner. Just imagine the mischief he and Mcconnell can do.

ch-fits with all the language about how not speaking English should not be a factor in how well someone does in the classroom. Remember these pushes are all on top of treating tracking itself, even in high school, as a civil rights violation.
I am working on Harvard law prof's work from 1991 where she is creating the narrative for an affirmative rights agenda. It is interesting as it is building on the fall of the Berlin Wall so of course it is the West that needs to change. I can see where she is wrong, but most of the law students would not. I think the more prestigious the undergrad or grad school the easier it is to get students to simply absorb the desired worldview. Students assume believing x comes with being part of the elite that ran the gauntlet and got in against the odds.
Let's just say I have been in some programs in recent weeks for some pretty famous schools and all of them are emphasizing that documented status will have no effect on right to go for free or with a substantial reduction. Students in red's age group who are already at college have told me that the Posse students are increasing their profile every year and are pushing an affirmative rights agenda now.
Back to an OECD doc that came out yesterday and started with the passage that "in the past, education was about teaching students something."
How prescient I was to have figured out it was targeting "values, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors" several years ago.

Yes. One line to push would be Clinton using the SoS position to do Clinton Foundation business.
Was she even aware of the day-to-day responsibilities & legitimate functions at State?
She set up her own system, hired her own people, corresponded with her own people, made taxpayers pay for her private group, corresponded with Dem. business interests,...
She didn't have a computer at State, she didn't get emails from Ambassador Stevens, she didn't get security requests,...
Did she just use the title/status of Secretary of State to advance her own business interests?

One or more of the R Presidential candidates needs to say it explicitly, in front of microphones:
"Hillary is a goddamn liar. She lied to the American people. She lied to Congress. She lied to the families of the men who died in Benghazi. Exactly she's a cretinous liar, a grifter who has turned north africa, into a slaughterhouse, the source of the second great refugee influx.

I guess the best tactic is to keep supporting the outsiders.

What's he look like when he fights against signing something? Does one hand grab the pen, the other try to stop it? I'd hope this was self-evidently ridiculous, but maybe it's not.
There's a certain amount of legislation that has to be passed (including, obviously, spending bills). If the goal is not to pass them, but to invite a veto, nothing gets passed. If that persists long enough, you won't have to worry about the GOP House majority, because you won't have one.
This bill goes back for an attempt to override, which isn't going to be close. Then they'll have to start over. Who comes out of this with a strengthened political position?

Cecil,
Why the GOP can't make hay from Obama having a VETOING CEREMONY for the Defense Authorization Bill is mind-boggling to me.
Furthermore, his reason was due to wanting it to include moving Gitmo detainees to American prisons.
What president makes a ceremony out of vetoing a defense bill in the middle of world-wide chaos and terrorism?
Little known fact: it was only the fifth veto since he has been in office.
