In an interview, Obama deploys the Strategic Aneurysm Device against his libertarian opponents:
“Whenever I hear people saying that our problems would be solved without government, I always want to tell them you need to go to some other countries where there really is no government, where the roads are never repaired ... or kids don’t have access to basic primary education,” he said. “That’s the logical conclusion if, in fact, you think that government is the enemy.”
So only government can run primary schools? Nuns everywhere are looking for Obama's knuckles to rap. Ooops, am I hinting that church run schools are common and effective? Back to Obama!
In the unusual discussion, Obama revealed some of his longstanding frustrations with politics while asking the Iowa author [Marilynne Robinson] questions about her family, her Christian faith and her writings.
“How do you reconcile the idea of faith being really important to you and you caring a lot about taking faith seriously with the fact that, at least in our democracy and our civic discourse, it seems as if folks who take religion the most seriously sometimes are also those who are suspicious of those not like them?” Obama asked during the interview, which was published Monday in the New York Review of Books.
Wow - would he ask that of a black minister? Did he ask that of Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright? And did this come up in his chat with the Pope?
As to his point, if a Christian bitter-clinger expresses a preference to stay away from gay marriages he is denounced as a bigoted hater and might be hauled into court. If an otherwise ordinary citizen announces a preference to stay away from church... nobody cares. So which side is viewing the other with suspicion?
Yup, government in Venezuela solved that profit overhead problem. And the too much choice in stores problem.

Gowdy: I just heard Marco Rubio say 500 million dollars for 5 ISIS Fighters? I think 4 Million Dollars, if that's the figure, is just right, for 4 dead Americans. And I'm going to spend more than that if necessary to get all the documents.
-------------------------
Great point Gowdy. Compares the 500 million we spent to train 50 anti-Isis fighters and nobody bats an eye, yet everyone goes ballistic over him spending 4 million to try to get all the documents on Stevens and the dead Benghazi Americans. Hell, we spent $500 million for Solyndra.
$500 Million for Solyndra. No big deal.
$500 Million to train 50 anti-ISIS fighters. No big deal.
$400 Million for the HealthCar.gov website. No big deal.
$4 Million for the Benghazi Investigation. OUTRAGEOUS!

The BLM bozos are now denying that black on black crime exists. This political environment is like a Ghostbusters movie where the slime and bad vibes increase by the hour.
Tomorrow is probably going to sound like a Politburo meeting. "We must increase the wheat crop 59%! 90%! 110%!. And the kulak in the back of the room is gonna be saying "we have no seed".
The government takes in $100 and pays out $35 in services. That is 65% overhead. "Here let me take your good money and hire plenty of bureaucrats and overseers".

Commenting to O'Reilly on Obama's disconnect from reality as evidenced in his 60 Minute's Interview, DrK just brought up this memorable Obamaism I had forgotten about:
DrK: When Ukraine was invaded by the Russians, what did Obama say? His policy was to offer Putin "a face saving off ramp to save him from this calamity..."
I had forgotten that bit of insanity. I guess to a delusional narcissist it sounds better than "Peace In Our Time."
DrK: I can imagine what they're thinking in the Capitals of the World: "Can the President of the strongest power on Earth truly have this kind of adolescent view of the world?"

Unfortunately the answer is YES.

Yes, Barry; the difference between Cameroon and the USA is our government is bigger.
It has nothing to do with free markets, secure property rights and freedom.
In fact the countries he speaks of usually have quite good sized and quite active governments. Because there is no freedom and no self governance they are active siphoning off the wealth of the country; precisely the thing Barry has accelerated in this country.
The road that leads from here back to Cameroon is exactly the one he is trying to pave for us, but it sure as hell isn't with good intentions.

I guess it has happened before:
A unique double play likely never to happen again in MLB; a 9-2-7-2 that effectively ended a career. On July 9, 1985 with Phil Bradley, a 3 times Big Eight decorated University of Missouri football player, on second Gorman Thomas singles to right. Jesse Barfield, with an arguably the strongest arm of the 80's, charged the ball and fired slightly up the line to Buck Martinez who had just enough time to catch the ball before absorbing Bradley's full charge. A broken leg and severely dislocated ankle but he held on. Attempting to catch Thomas rounding second Martinez, now seated and severely injured, threw the ball into left field. On the error Thomas rounds third attempting to score. George Bell (outfielder) now in shallow left field to the line quickly returns the ball to Martinez, on a hop, who applies a tag on a scrambling Thomas. The play effectively ended Buck's playing career but is arguably the greatest character play you'll ever see and one of strangest double play in MLB history. [3] [4] [5]

Yes Jimmy. Hello my friend.
Gorman Thomas is LEGENDARY in Milwaukee and he still lives here.
I LOVE baseball, BUT, I was always PERPLEXED at how a big strong, hard drinking, power hitter with a .240 esque batting average, was so REVERED for running FULL SPEED into the center field wall, to catch or more often TRY TO catch a long fly ball. Most CENTERFIELDERS, would have the where-with-all, to get to the spot, and WAIT for the ball.
Gorman Thomas is a LEGEND in MILWAUKEE, and in fact is the VERY FIRST DRAFT PICK of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Having said all that. Do not DIS, my Milwaukee Brewers!!! Hahahahahahahaa.

Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson, Mark Belanger, Boog Powell...etc. When my family came to Wisconsin, the Brewers came to Milwaukee, and gradually I became the biggest Brewers fan alive!!

Hey Ignatz. On my den/office wall are 2 autographed baseball jersies. Robin Yount #19 Hall of Fame Milwaukee Brewer. He asked me what I'd like him to sign or personalize. I responded. ROBIN YOUNT.
I also have a Jim Palmer orange, GAME USED Orioles jersey. Only autograph I EVER PAID FOR. I was nervous meeting and speaking to Jim Palmer. He signed the jersey. To XYZ/GUS, best wishes, Jim Palmer Hall of Fame 1990. Both of the jersies are framed VERY VERY nicely and are treasures. I have many many other sports pieces autographed and some are just pieces that were PERSONAL SITUATIONS that my best friend and I shared. My best friend is fantastic. He gave me a BROOKS ROBINSON Orioles helmet this year. Google Brooks Robinson batting helmet!! It's priceless.

Yes Captain, I just tested it on the MSM. Here, see for yourself.
"Turn Left"
"Turn Right"
"Turn toward the wall"
It appears to be working perfectly, Captain.
Aim it at FOX News, Full Power...Sulu, Checkov, any suggestions?
How about playing the Race Card ray, Captain?
Wouldn't work, Hillary's white.
Captain, I'm monitoring FOX News. Mr Spocks Mind Meld ray is working, but it only seems to be affecting...Brit Hume?
Spock!?!
That is logical, Captain. It would seem that after spending $529 Million on Solyndra, and $500 Million on Fisker Electric cars of Finland, and $500 Million to train 50 Anti-ISIS Fighters, and $400 Million for the HealthCare.gov Website, it would seem that the Taxpayers are no longer gullible enough to believe us when we tell them that Trey Gowdy's spending of $4 Million to unravel the truth about the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi is Government waste, fraud, and abuse.
Khannnnnnnn!!!Treyyyyyyy!!!Bone's can you meet me in my cabin? This pressure is getting to me. I think I need some...relaxation, if you know what I mean.
Dammit Jim, I'm a spin-Doctor, not built like a brick-shit house! If you want that sort of action you need to beam down to the Taxpayer Funded GSA boondoggle Convention in Vegas. I think Administrator Neeley is holding a seat for you even as we speak.
Transporter room, have you got the coordinates?
Aye, Aye, Captain. Energize.
