The Campus Consent movement is positioning us for a major recalibration of sexual mores. Just to help, let me point out some deplorable examples of "rape culture", which not only fail to incorporate appropriate standards of consent but actually advocate the opposite.
Today's choice to be dropped down the memory hole ASAP: the Academy Award winning "Kiss The Girl" from The Little Mermaid. Who amongst us can read these lyrics and not be appalled?
Yes, yes you want her
Look at her, you know you do
Its possible she wants you too
There is one way to ask her
It don't take a word
Not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl)
That's sexual assault, pal. And what about the children???
Other examples are welcome. I happened to hear a bouncy tune from the 70's that would at one time have been characterized as light and romantic, but now I am wondering whether "Knock Three Times" illustrates creepy stalking:
If you look out your window tonight
Pull in the string with the note that's attached to my heart
Read how many times I saw you
How in my silence I adored you
Only in my dreams did that wall between us come apart
Just sayin'.
Well, romance novels and daytime soaps on tv must be added to the burn pile.

The new Blue Bloods last night had a creepy little, white, female SJW type who was receiving threats and had her dorm room vandalized by some apparent right wing maniac.
The plot line, pulling from a seemingly new headline everyday, actually had the little pipsqueak doing it to herself. A small victory but you take what you can get.

My son's friend, a Freshman at another college, has been expelled for "date rape." I asked if the police were involved. No, just the college.
How do they know he's guilty? And if he is, why hasn't he been charged?
I spend a lot of time at a college, and you can't walk down a hallway without seeing signs on the wall about "consent."
All the pics are student age people with sad expressions of scared-looking women and guilty-looking men.
"Flirting is not consent."
"Dating is not consent."
Etc.
They've all been through the indoctrination of the bogus "1 in 4" statistic.

"Every Breath Away You Take" is a creepy stalking song.
How about "On the Street Where You Live"?
And oh, the towering feeling
Just to know somehow you are near
The overpowering feeling
That any second you may suddenly appear.
People stop and stare
They don't bother me,
For there's no where else on earth
That I would rather be.
Let the time go by,
I won't care if I
Can be here on the street where you live.

I complained a few weeks ago about R Senators who were participating in hearings on this subject (idiot Ayotte was one of them, as I recall) and agreeing that campus rape is a "crisis" and pushing along the utterly bogus 1 in 4 stat.
When I go on and on about the GOPe not fighting, this is what I mean. They don't challenge damaging prog lies - worse, they actively go along for fear of being attacked in the media as "anti-woman."
But all they do is enbolden the most lunatic of the progs, help cement the 1 in 4 lie as truth, and lead to further laws and madness down the line.

Constant ice packs, and sleeping was accomplished with two or three sleeping pills and a couple of pillows arranged so I could sleep on the off side.
