Who is Dash, daddy?

Posted by: Janet

Beats the hell out of me Janet, but on a day when ISIS murders hundreds in Paris John Kerry in his just concluded speech mentioned "Dash" as the bad guys over and over again, and never once did I hear him mention ISIS or even his beloved ISIL. I only caught the last 10 minutes or so, so maybe he mentioned ISIS in his prelim comments.

Beasts of England

Daish is what horse face calls ISIS. Newspeak deflection and virtue signaling all wrapped up in one wussy term.

Beasts of England

Just checked FB for the first time since the attacks. Brutal. Not one damn word from my lefty friends - and I have dozens - and a significant string of posts condemning the muzzies and their apologists.

Centralcal on iPad

Daesh - is how Hollande referred to ISIS too. Must be a Euro-weenie label. Say, has any of our esteemed media discussed the Syrian "refugees" unloaded in New Orleans yesterday?

Thomas Collins

I haven't checked my Facebook yet, BOE, because I don't yet want to be banned from holiday gatherings by my prog friends and family members. At some point, I may say the hell with it and start commenting on their delusional Facebook posts.

Buckeye

TC

My prog family members gave up on me years ago.

I will usually be polite at family dinners, but on the golf course or in the stands at football games, all bets are off.

Jack is Back!

The Pope has woke up and is calliing this "a piecemeal WW3".

The security services know all these guys (and girls). They follow them and wait until after they have done something. What they need to do in these countries like Belgium and France and Holland is go get them nnow, screw their rights, and deport them to where they originated. They need to pre-empt the next attack.

Either that or accept the inevitable.

Thomas Collins

I can be quiet, Buckeye, until someone says something in such a manner that my silence might be interpreted as indicating assent to the delusional view being asserted.

Daesh-holes.

Tom Maguire

From "The Week" last year:

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a bit of a misnomer, says France, as it lends the imprimatur of Islam to a group that the vast majority of Muslims finds despicable. "This is a terrorist group and not a state. I do not recommend using the term Islamic State because it blurs the lines between Islam, Muslims, and Islamists," France's Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said in a statement. "The Arabs call it 'Daesh' and I will be calling them the 'Daesh cutthroats.'"

The name Daesh, according to France24, is a "loose acronym" for "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (al-Dawla al-Islamiya al-Iraq al-Sham). The name is commonly used by enemies of ISIS, and it also has many negative undertones, as Daesh sounds similar to the Arabic words Daes ("one who crushes something underfoot") and Dahes ("one who sows discord"). Samantha Rollins

I've heard it both ways.

screw their rights
What if they are American dual-citizens?

Mr. Tom M. has been on Twitter with some trenchant observations for those who can abide the medium.

Every day that passes without killing Islamic Jihadism simply makes it more difficult to do. There are legal ways to focus on the problem, were there a will so to do.

Yeah Tom, Kerry is so effing smart, he's on the cutting edge with terminology. What a waste of his Dad's jipe.

TK,

They're not and if they were I wouldn't treat them any differently than Al-Alwaki in Yemen.

boatbuilder, Esq., Lord of All He Surveys

I suppose it has never occurred to Jawn that he actually works for and represents the citizens of The United States of America and that accordingly he ought to use names and terms that Americans commonly use and understand rather than playing Euro-cool. Every day in every way he proves himself a bigger dickhead.

Buckeye

Well Ohio State's offense was a yawn in the first half but Joey Bosa put on a clinic.

Jane

No worries TC. It's all Bush's fault.

Beasts of England

Have all the so-called moderate muzzies condemned this bloody slaughter yet? We're always told that 'the vast majority of Muslims deplore these terrorists', yet we never hear from them after these atrocities.

Wonder why?

Stephanie

I have a stupid question for RSE, if the UN's goal is to have everyone brainwashed in school to the UN's preferred mindmold, how are they planning on brainwashing the ME to the new citizenship mindmold as most of them don't school females and the men are not schooled much outside madrassas? Ummm. Oops?

Buckeye

Beasts,

Moderate means that while they may not actually kill anyone, they retain the right to cheer from the sidelines.

Monica Crowley's BIL Skeletor is defending the "ISIS is contained" BS.

They want everybody to be eloi, but they preclude the possibility of morlocks.

Dave (in MA),

ISIS is unlikely to show up on the moon until NASA completes its Headchopper Outreach so the President's claim must be graded as TRUE for the moment.

Jack is Back!

Looks like "Imagine" has replaced "You Have a Friend" but none of these will killl a terrorist that needs killing.

steph-the whole, grounded in emotion, let us provide the concepts you perceive the world through, authentic assessment, real life learning, etc. is consistent with an ed template that will may one act like a Muslim instead of know about Islam.

Now if I did not have close to perfect knowledge of the actual implementation (because the laws and contracts are being used to make it mandatory) I might have not noticed that this "new vision of Islamic education" is actually the new vision for everyone. That is what I found this morning as I went back through a doc that has been on my blog for several days. It merely said the entire Lifelong Learning, Learning Community concept grew out of the MB founder's teachings.

But I read footnotes and circle what I want to get a hard copy of. I just have finished it and done my grocery store run. That is how I relax, figuring out what to make for dinner.

Speaking of keeping mouth shut, had dinner with inlaws last night and my bil started talking about who 'we' support as if husbands and wives are supposed to vote the same. For years hubby and I cancelled each other's votes in presidential races.

Pam Gellar notes the moderates have been tweetering:

“this isn’t a lone wolf attack, but a battalion of lions roaring into heart of #France.”

and

“After Paris comes Rome and Andalus,”

Facebook has a special page for those who happened to be in Paris to sign in as safe. So if you had a friend or relative in Paris last night you can check into FB to see their status.

Also, go to FB and change your profile photo to the special French flag one.

Future bad-ass SoS John Bolton has 4 important lessons world must learn from French tragedy.

Finally, as we all know, the United States is already in the midst of the 2016 presidential campaign. America’s proper place in the world should be at the very center of the debate.

This is precisely the right moment to discuss the threats we face and how to meet them. We should discard the conventional wisdom of political operatives and commentators who routinely say that American voters do not care about national-security issues.

The first responsibility of the president is to keep the country safe. While there are many important issues at stake next November, all of them come second when the safety of the country is at risk.

If citizens cannot get the attention of political candidates now, when can they expect to? As part of our shared obligations as U.S. citizens, we should work to make 2016 a national-security election. Either we do it, or our adversaries will do it for us.

buccaneer, that was the case, you'll recall, in the prior terrorist attack in France.

CBS will now ask the three Dem stooges about the terrorist attacks. We already know how Hillary! deals with deadly attacks on Americans. Will she cite her excellent experience?

That would be 'Het Staatsveiligheid and their director Jaak Raes will soon be appearing before the parliamentary committe for intelligence to examine his testicles for future separation.

Mrs. JiB says they know all the bad guys and players and just refuse to upset the muzzie apple cart before an action. I think we lived through that pre - 911.
