Two of the great trolls of the year collide, or collude:
Vladimir Putin Praises Donald Trump, Sealing a Long-Distance Bromance
Updated, 5:56 p.m. | One is the leader of a declining superpower that is trying to reassert itself militarily. The other wants to “make America great again.” And the two have a budding bromance that transcends the tense relationship between the two nations.
On Thursday, Donald J. Trump appeared to pick up an endorsement from President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia. After his year-ending press conference in Moscow, Mr. Putin heaped praise on the bombastic Republican candidate, calling Mr. Trump “a very bright and talented man” and “the absolute leader of the presidential race.”
OMG, is everybody in the world obliged to talk about Trump? My Bold New Year Prediction: SETI (The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence" will finely pick up interstellar chatter and the discussion topic will be Trump's hair.
Trump was not to be outdone:
Mr. Trump embraced Mr. Putin’s praise on Thursday evening.
“It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond,” he said in a statement. “I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect.”
If Kim Kardashian would chime in the trinity would be complete.
Primo?

Isn't one lined up for 2020 Puddin?

Brett: David, let me start with you. What about the President and this repeated effort in different venues, to calm the Nation?
David Gregory: Well look, I think his message is a good one today but he's certainly playing from behind. I mean I think there's a level of resolve, of effort to relieve anxiety and to communicate the toughness that people want to see and I think he's been slow to do that. And I think it's also hard when you;re trying to take a measured approach...when you're playing from behind, when you've underestimated a lot of the threat, it does little to sooth people.
Beats me what the hell got into Gregory.

Napolitano: The only thing I agree about with my friend David is that "this is a complicated issue." The President does not present any strength, the President does not present any strategy, the President does not present any comfort. Every time he gives one of these speeches the situation stays the same or gets worse. I mean the situation of the fear that Americans have. John McCain even tho' he was being a little bit sarcastic on the floor of the Senate, resonated in my view with a lot more Americans than Barrack Obama did.

daddy,
Did he say that in French while holding a suicide vest belt?

Brett plays video of the 118 Syrians overstaying their welcome from the Hearings earlier today. On the 3 small inspection programs mentioned being implemented by the guys being grilled today, which the Congressman then criticizes as being "not regular, not routine, not widespread, Brett turns to DrK, and says
Brett: It's not comforting.
DrK: But it's also incomprehensible. The idea that we're now starting up a couple of Pilot programs on what the American people understand and is so obvious to do. You simply give a Directive that where you think it's appropriate, you allow any Immigration Officer to investigate the postings on Public Media. The argument against it, which apparently prevailed a few years ago within the DHS, is ridiculous. Number 1 is that we don't want to invade their privacy? Well it's absurd to say that looking at a public posting is an invasion of Privacy, and it's doubly absurd if it's done in the case of a Non-Ameican, outside the country, who possesses zero Constitutional Rights.
Off with the dogs to get "Levined." Grrrrr.

Just saw a Rubio TV ad. Does the youngest guy in the race really need to have vaseline on the lens? Or did they borrow their camera from Hildabeast?
I noticed that the new "droid" from Star Wars is the same color as that blue and black dress that was viral earlier in the year.

"DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT ON BUDGET DEAL
(New York, NY) December 17, 2015 – "If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan. In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.
The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?
The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people. It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt. To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable. Together, we can Make America Great Again.""
