From the WSJ:
Pope Francis Will Stand With Migrants at U.S. Border
Six-Day trip to Mexico will include Mass in border city of Ciudad Juárez and prayers at fortified frontier
The fortified frontier in question is the US border with Mexico. The story is NOT referring to the walls around Vatican City, which continues to not harbor an immigrant camp.
Well the Pope may be an idiot and a Marxist and an economic illiterate and a radical and a fool and a hypocrite and a troublemaker, but at least he ain't a pussy.

It was close, I'm proud of our efforts, and I want to thank our supporters for their tireless and gracious work. While we went further than anyone would have possibly dreamed of at the outset of this movement, we ultimately came up short. In the end it is the voters who have the ultimate say in the matter, and they have made their voices clear. Today I am announcing the suspension of my support for Walter Iwachiw after he failed to get to double digits in the New Hampshire primary. Thank you and God bless the United States of America.

Sorry to hear Fiorina dropping out, although she is drawing a very small number of votes. She says what I think quite often, and is not the least bit fearful of putting the lumber to the Hildabeast...
Christie on the other hand needs to go away mad or otherwise. Next maybe JEB! and Kasich figure out that New Hampshire was their best shot and they got nowhere near enough there. I can assure them that there is unlikely to be friendly turf anywhere soon, including Florida for JEB...
Posted by: common man | February 10, 2016 at 05:49 PM
Jeb is determined to get through South Carolina where I think he believes the GOP machine can rescue him. He is not going away too soon. I can easily see it coming down to Trump vs. Bush.

BTW a guy just got tased and arrested in my office a few minutes ago. Exciting. Glad it didn't happen in a public area or you would all be seeing film of it right now.
Why don't people put their hands behind their backs when asked? This fellow might be mentally ill, I guess.

Me too. I usually voted for her in any online polls (not that they're worth much).
She was a workhorse....strong, confident.
It is disgraceful that she wasn't in the last debate.

Janet,
And she wound up outperforming Carson in the NH primary. She is pretty fierce and smart.

The treatment of Fiorina is one of the many reasons I am disgusted with the RNC. They could have stood up for her, particularly since Rand dropped out.
Disgusting.

I was a Coulter fan in the mid-late 90s (OK she was haut and grew up in neighboring New Canaan so I was a natural fan), but she is increasingly loopy. In fact I am a bit concerned that Mark Steyn follows her loopiness trajectory, he's showing some signs.

Had a chat with my daughter in NYC this afternoon, and she told me she and her husband (who has always been a big lib) are voting for JEB! in the primary. She thinks Rubio is a robot (which I have always thought, but saw him being interviewed this afternoon and he seemed not robotic and very charming). She said if either Trump or Saunders win, she and husband are leaving the country! I do so hope that disaffected voters will not drift to JEB! Cannot imagine anything worse.

Within the last month, Tammy Bruce mentioned that she used to regard Coulter as a friend until she ridiculed a tweet that TB made (I'm not sure it was so much wrong per se as ill advised) with a snarky retweet to the world instead of sending her a personal note advising her on what the full story was. Like a friend would do instead of a backstabbing shrew.

Porch,
Sounds like an exciting day in the office. Hope no one got hurt. I also hope that didn't happen in the federal 4th circuit. If the guy was an edp, officers are supposed to talk to him nicely until he decides to cooperate. Can't use tasers on mental subjects anymore in the 4th. A brilliant decision because we all know that talking to crazy always works. Reasoning with the unreasonable. It's like talking to progs.
Posted by: Gentlejim | February 10, 2016 at 08:53 PM
Thanks, Gentlejim. I didn't mention that this poor fellow had been served with a criminal trespass warrant two days prior. So he was supposed to understand that he wasn't allowed on the property. I doubt he has any official diagnosis, as he seems to be fresh off the bus from the DC area, and an African national.
The officers did talk to him for quite awhile on Monday, but when he showed up again today they moved straight to arrest, politely, of course. We are in Texas, so 5th circuit, I think.
Posted by: Porchlight | February 10, 2016 at 11:46 PM
