Hillary exhibits yet again the charm, warmth and paranoia of Richard Nixon:
Clinton: 'I'm so sick' of Sanders campaign lying about me
That's a switch! Normally she is blaming Rove and the Evil Republicans. Now she is beset by a Vast Left Wing Conspiracy. Her enemies are everywhere!
Hillary Clinton on Thursday accused Bernie Sanders's campaign of lying about her in a heated exchange with an environmental activist.
“I am so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me. I’m sick of it,” the visibly angry Democratic presidential hopeful said, pointing a finger in a woman’s face, in a video posted by Greenpeace.
The exchange came as the woman pressed Clinton on taking donations from the fossil fuel industry and asked if she would reject their campaign contributions in the future.
"I do not have — I have money from people who work for fossil fuel companies,” Clinton responded, before calling the rival campaign's claims lies.
Clinton’s campaign has accepted sums from fossil fuel companies. According to a Huffington Post report from July of last year, most of her campaign’s largest bundlers at the time were lobbyists for the industry.
In a statement, Greenpeace Director Molly Dorozenski said: "Secretary Clinton is conflating Greenpeace with the Sanders campaign, but we are an independent organization, and our research team has assessed the contributions to all Presidential candidates. We have not and will not endorse candidates."
A resume that leaves her respected but unloved, at war with the media, ethically challenged, secretive and suspicious - Hillary's The One!
Problem with that deal is: Sanders isn't lying.
Plus Sanders will add another state to his latest roll on Tuesday, which is why even the WSJ is talking about NY all of the sudden.

Illegal dealings and insider trading while First Lady of Arkansas?
Supression of bimbo eruptions?

Multiple ballot convention? yes that is the best option for conservatives, even if it winds up being Ryan, which I doubt it would be. Trump's delegate total means the angry vote is heard, Cruz's second total means movement conservatives will be heard, $$$$$ means GOPe gets a vote. I'd give until it hurt for a Daniels/Carly or even Perry/Carly ticket ( I am OK with Perry, but is he strong enough on immigration?)

No real significant job increase, except for tax benefited H1 or other immigrant visa work. And of course with poor GDP growth and flat productivity no wage gains. The USA economy has been EUed by the 2009 orgy of socialism and Obummer's EPA. This shite will continue until ObummerCare is repealed.

JiB/NK.
The problem of course is that one can no longer believe any of the numbers produced by the Feds.
Employment numbers are cooked. Labor force participation numbers are cooked. Average hours per week and average hourly wage figures are cooked. The Unemployment Rate, therefore, since it is derived from other numbers, all of which are cooked, is cooked.
GDP Growth numbers are cooked. CPI numbers are cooked.
Government spending figures are cooked. Obviously Fed Debt numbers are cooked (since it remained unchanged for so many months). CBO numbers are not only cooked, but they are laughable.
On the private side, good luck finding any actual numbers for a company whose stock you might want on which you might guess at their "real" earnings, or their "real" assets, or their "real" prospects for their future. Without those figures, one cannot know what their stocks might really be worth.
Which seems not to matter since eight years of free money have flooded the market with so much monopoly money that the one thing I can promise is that "that stock is not worth what it sold for yesterday".
Per the Beatles "Nothing is Real".

Well, James D., let me put it this way:
I am not sure all conservatives have the interests of the average person at heart, particularly when they say things like small towns should just die, already.
I'm a little pickier with my listening and reading choices, having whittled a whole bunch of people off my list, since they have revealed themselves to be quite unpleasant people.
Trump can be credited with that, as I can free up my time for more productive things, like prayer and novel-reading, which you should appreciate!

OL-- 'free money' only flooded some markets, because of the chain the Fed attached to it, i.e. Fed Gov't debt and equities, and before that the commodities bubble which has since burst. There has been ow mortgage origination and credit card debt has accelerated only in the last 18-24 months, yes a bubble has been created in certain commercial real estate markets (NYC, MIami, DC, SF but relatively smll potatoes). Equities seemed to have gone through their shake out (they are basically trading where they were at in 2007), so the last big free money shake out is gov't debt default. That will happen, what will the result be is the question.

MM, I have to disagree about the dems taking longer to demonize Daniels.
He may be cleaner, with a better record than other possibilities in actual fact, but facts aren't gonig to matter to the Dems, or to the MSM. Whoever our nominee is, is going to get the full treatment, 24/7 from them.
If it's Daniels, or someone else who isn't as well-known nationally, the GOP had better have their plans ready beforehand to define the candidate before the Dems can do it. They'd better have a counterpunching strategy ready.
And really, they'd be better off going after Hillary, AND Bernie for that matter, with both barrels, starting yesterday.

Cruz is a reliable conservative, who would torture the Progs with lawfare prosecutions (yes I would like that) My only reservation with Cruz remains electability b/c of women voters. He should win against the unlikable Hilligula but it would be very close, and he'd have to govern with Senate Leader Schumer. Would a multiple ballot convention lead to a more electable ticket? I think it could.

he doesn't recognize that being president requires a stable personality.
That doesn't seem to bother the Democrats. Who's the last stable personality they nominated for the presidency? Mondale, maybe?
Posted by: James D | April 01, 2016 at 10:09 AM
Why yes, NK, more electable except for all of the Trump voters and Cruz voters who would stay home.
The GOPe and the #NeverTrump people have managed to put the party in a lose-lose situation.
Posted by: Miss Marple 2 | April 01, 2016 at 10:11 AM
The #neverTrump crowd acts as if he'd be a dictator if elected. It's all fine to make Mussolini jokes, but really there's only so much a president can do without Congress, but what Hillary would do via exec order, or just by continuation of Obama's regulatory leviathan will be disastrous. Trump might not do as much as Cruz to roll it back, but he'd be much better than Hillary. And if Congress passes a repeal of 404Care, will Trump veto it? I doubt it.
In any case, keeping the Senate in R hands is almost as important as having an R president, and having an R president means only 50 is needed for control.
Posted by: jimmyk | April 01, 2016 at 10:12 AM
MissM-- the Green bankruptcies are an OPM famine event. Cheap oil/gas and fewer subsidies are having their natural effect on those phony 'businesses' which were just politically corrupt crony plays. But for the 2009 Congress orgy of socialism all but the Chinese Greens would be out of business by now.
Counterpunching? Trump does not do a lot of that about Hiligula or BIGbanks. Wonder why that is?
Posted by: NK | April 01, 2016 at 10:13 AM
being president requires a stable personality.
I don't think "requires" is the right word here. We've had an unstable personality in the WH the last 7+ years. I guess you meant "being a minimally competent president...," though I'm not even sure that's true.
Posted by: jimmyk | April 01, 2016 at 10:14 AM
NK,
Neither does Cruz.
Posted by: Miss Marple 2 | April 01, 2016 at 10:15 AM
MM, that's true.
The consultants also don't like that he's doing everything on the cheap so far, relying on free media rather than massive ad buys (not that he isn't doing it, but not nearly as much as his opponents) that they get their commissions on.
Whoever the nominee is, it's imperative that they and their campaign team study what Trump has done with social media, with taking advantage of free media coverage, with putting his opponents on the defensive, and apply those lessons to the general election.
Some of it is personality-based, and it won't translate to anybody else, but there are definitely lesson to be learned from his campaign thus far that could be very effective against the Dems...if the GOP is willing to learn them.
My fear is that they aren't, and that they absolutely plan on running something very similar to 2012.
"Let's not rock the boat."
"Let's all be civil and not go into the gutter."
"Let's not touch any messy subjects."
"Let's just turtle down and hope that gets us to 50% + 1"
It didn't work in 2012, and it won't work this time either.
Posted by: James D | April 01, 2016 at 10:15 AM
I am a Cruz voter, but I would support a multiple ballot conservative alternative, enthusiastically if it is more electable. Trump brags much of his support is Dems if they stay home in Nov I am fine with that.

It's time for another edition of "if only we had an opposition party"
Imagine the headlines and the outcry were the following happening under a Republican administration:
Firearms, ammunition and dangerous chemical agents could be missing from federal prison armories without government officials having a clue they are gone.
“Security officers can move inventory in and out of armories … without leaving any record that a change in inventory occurred,”said a Department of Justice Inspector General report made public Thursday.
That’s because the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) inventory system is “neither complete nor accurate” and lacks data for “tracking product movement,” which increases “the risk that armory munitions and equipment could be lost or stolen,” the report said.
and...
The IG reported missing ammunition in one armory but redacted multiple examples of equipment that was removed or added without a system update. Inventory tracking inadequacies make it all but impossible to know if equipment is missing.
The IG investigation was prompted in 2011 after a BOP employee pleaded guilty to stealing munitions from a federal prison facility, but changes made since 2011 by BOP have not remedied the problem.
and it gets better still...
BOP also doesn’t require the authorizing official to sign off on equipment removal, and security officers often don’t complete required paperwork when removing equipment for their own use.
Three of the seven federal prisons reviewed also stockpiled “unauthorized chemical agents and ammunition,” but the IG redacted details about those stockpiles.
http://dailycaller.com/2016/03/31/no-one-knows-if-firearms-chemical-agents-missing-from-federal-prison-armories/
Have we heard a peep from the GOP about this?
Heavy military weapons stolen from federal government custody, possibly into the hands of terrorists, and the government doesn't even know how much was stolen because they don't keep track of how much weaponry they have?
The ads - and probably before too long, the tragic news stories - write themselves. Except the GOP can't be bothered, because they're too busy committing public suicide to pay any attention to either exercising oversight as the Constitution calls for, or, failing that, making the Democrats pay a price for their carelessness and endless failures.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
For the 1st time in American history, America’s 16,500 border patrol agents have issue a presidential primary endorsement—me! Thank you
Monolithic non-thinking conservative bloc...

I would have handled sykes with the proper contempt he deserves.
What do you mean #never trump, and are you saying the same to my followers, where do you think they will go, it's a recipe for disaster.

Its not about me, Mr. Sykes it's about the fate of the American worker, one adjusts stale dogma to current conditions, example import quotas.

narciso, why mess with Sykes' ego trip? With luck he'll go national, moving to NY or LA & I can be rid of him.

"So, yeah, jettison these two candidates for an insider who hasn't gotten a single vote"
We like the way you think.

buccaneer morgan,
I wonder how the unions feel about Cruz pushing a federal right to work law. Seems to me doing that in Wisconsin after all of the struggles is sort of an unforced error, given it's an open primary.
I used to follow Sykes on Twitter but he's gone off the deep end with his NeverTrump campaign.

As for cruz, of you're going to in a biblically televised rally, tell your pastor not to choose the passage that makes you look like a wahhabi.

MM
Do you think Trump would self fund a general election???

unforced error/open primary? -- HELLO, Cruz is going after repub and conservative indy votes, Trump goes after Dems. That mean anything?
Posted by: NK | April 01, 2016 at 11:27 AM
NK,
It means he is using the rules as written and wants to win.
Which is what I was told when the GOPe used crossover dem voters in that runoff for Thad Cochran.
