McCain alter-ego Mark Salter talks Trump:
Mark Salter, the most prominent and most defiant Republican to announce his support of Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, thinks the 2016 campaign could literally — no joke — drive the billionaire developer insane.
Go insane over this race? Trump will hardly be the first.
I would say that I hope Salter dies in a fire.
But that would understate my feelings about him after reading that piece. By a lot.

Some guy who is GOP from Florida was on NPR this morning. They gave him lots of time to call Trump a fascist and such.
I have heard a lot about how Trump is tempermentally unsuited, but these weasels grabbing the microphone to virtue signal that they won't vote for him (while auditioning for dem jobs and cash) are unsuited to be in politics as far as I am concerned.

Good line jimmyk, but Burr never won another election after the duel with Hamilton. As Hamilton's biographer put it, the duel ended the political careers of both men.

At this point, I despise them all. Anyone who does not see that the Democrat Party has gone insane, that it is a party of thieves and traitors and enemies of civilzation, is willfully blind. And anyone who would willingly cross over to them because of their dislike for Trump...thre are not enough curses in the language to describe them.

this is a good point with a comment -
"... every one of us should note well and remember long that this government was designed with the intention of having it affect the lives of citizens in a minimal fashion. The American people were not supposed to have to pay attention to every move they made in constant evaluations of those moves’ legalities. “Reformed Trombonist,” a commenter at the Instapundit blog, recently had this to say on the matter:
Before government was the 500-lb gorilla in the middle of every aspect of American life, your neighbor’s politics didn’t really matter that much. When business, family, and church mattered more than politics, we minded our own business. But now that government has seeped its way into every aspect of human existence, when you can’t eat a Twinkie or let your kid play in his own backyard by himself without providing probable cause to the Gestapo, then politics matters more and people care more. You like government’s overweening size, power, and expense, or you hate it. There’s no mystery here."

If I make a prediction it will be a full Costanza. Meaning that Trump's going to win in a landslide, and he'll be the classiest best friend the Constitution ever had, leading us back to a halcyon era of modest government.

Who's involved in this 3rd Party thing? Kristol, Erickson, and I think Jen Rubin.
All those 3 know how to do is talk and write columns. They couldn't organize their way out of a paper bag.
Who are they going to get for volunteers? Where will they get the money? What about filing in the states where you ARE allowed to run a 3rd party?
Who are they going to run? Maybe they can put Mitt and Jeb! on the same ticket. They can run around the country telling us how evil we are and how swell immigrants are.

I have been to Brazil half a dozen times or so in the last 8 or 9 years.
In Rio always stay at the same hotel on Ipanema Beach, always contract the same driver who knows what neighborhoods to avoid. Also knows what end of his Taurus semi-auto to grab onto.
Sitting on the beach you can look across the street at the 7 figure condos, or look south at the neighborhood where poverty stretches for miles.
A lot of people will lose their wallets at the Olympics.

THe first paragraph of a post at NRO about London's new mayor:
London has just elected a new mayor, and he is Sadiq Khan, a Muslim in his forties, of Pakistani origins, son of a bus driver, a former lawyer in the field of human rights, a socialist politician, member of Parliament, and a Minister in the last Labour-party government. This is undoubtedly an unusually impressive record.
What exactly is "impressive' about being a socialist politican, a human rights lawyer or a Minister in a Labour government?
Those are all black marks against anyone, as far as I can tell.
Posted by: James D | May 09, 2016 at 01:17 PM
From the comments to that Londonistan post at NRO:
What is happening now is not military defeat, but voluntary submission to an inferior culture via an entirely voluntary and unwise immigration policy, combined with white guilt, multiculturalism, and political correctness.
Which we are seeing here as well, and our betters (in both parties) tell us to shut up and accept it because wanting to maintain our identity and culture is "not who we are."
Again, is it any wonder Trump won the nomination?
