Among the first!

daddy

But Google? Really? Do they even use their own search engines before lauding these people?

TM,

Let me go out on a limb and suggest that they actually do know her history and that is exactly why they do want to laud her.

daddy

When I get back from the dog walk I'll see if I can find any more pics of Obama with Yuri's favorite mass murderers:

"Would anyone anywhere have complained if Google had never mentioned this woman? How did they not see this coming?"

We waste our time wondering why Google lauds and honors people like Kochiyama. They're haters and anarchists, full and simple. They're socialists/communists, ostensibly fighting for the little man, but blood-sucking leaches, addicts for power. They don't care about a worker's paradise. They seethe with hate and venom, vicious when faced with prosperity and goodness, capitalism and success. They're like the rich progeny who rebelled against their parents and founded The Red Brigade terrorists, Marxists, Leninists, and others of their ilk.

Google probably thinks it's thumbing it's nose at Wall Street bankers and Republicans, but people this woman admires have created more misery on this earth and enslaved more people in hellish conditions than any mistake the USA has made at any time or any place.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

As big an ass as Gates is, Bing is a small symbolic whack at the Google creeps I have been using for several years.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

What is ambiguous at all let alone "more ambiguous" about being an outspoken admirer of the greatest mass murderer in history?

After all the recent JOMer back and forth and rancor this BIZARRE election season, I've come to appreciate this place more and more, and I've pissed and moaned less and less.

Daddy and Beasts please never leave.
So many of you are fantastic and extremely intelligent.

duckduckgo is a search engine that I use sometimes. Think I'll start using it all of the time now that google venerates people like this woman. I checked to see if I could find out if google owns duckduckgo -- don't think so. Gabriel Weinberg created it. One feature is a privacy search policy.

"Weinberg's non-ambitious goals make him a particularly odd and dangerous competitor online. He can do almost everything that Google or Bing can’t because it could damage their business models, and if users figure out that they like the DuckDuckGo way better, Weinberg could damage the big boys without even really trying. It's asymmetrical digital warfare, and his backers at Union Square Ventures say Google is vulnerable." Wikipedia.

GUS

How telling. Poor dead Bin Laden, didn't disavow the families CA$H, did he.
Very very chillingly reminiscent of Billy Boom Boom Ayers. Barry Husseins' close friend. Daddy was MEGA-MILLIONAIRE with CONSOLIDATED EDISON.
After murdering, and hiding with his terrorist wifey Bernadine Dohrn (Milwaukee native) Billy Boom Boom Ayers lived THE HIGH LIFE. (another Milwaukee reference). The Bin Laden/Ayers, DOWN FOR THE STRUGGLE MEME is abject BULL(REDACTED).

GUS

add to my 12:27.
bin Laden may have come from a very wealthy family, but by the time he was twenty, he came to loathe the eliteness and class conduct of his family.

Dave (in MA)

Maybe Kochiyama was radicalized in one of St. Delano's internment camps.

GUS

Dave, sounds like a NEW DEAL to me.
Next up!! THE GREAT SOCIETY!!

DrJ

duckduckgo

Try it, and see if you like it. It comes out of Philadelphia (which no one would confuse with Silicon Valley), and it is obscure enough that daddy can use it in China when other search engines are banned. The search privacy is a wonderful feature.

I've used it on one of my computers regularly, and I don't care much for it. The search results just are not as good as Google's, at least for my purposes.

But it may well work for you. Do give it a go!

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Buckeye,

Enjoyed my minor roll in helping you and the Mrs find out that your great great great great grandma was a "ribald infamous slut!" Was happy to assist of course, and if I can be of any further help to you guys in discovering other whores or reprobates in your lineage, don't hesitate to ask:) Much fun. Keep 'em coming. I'm still envious of your bloodline to Charles Martel of Islam slaughtering fame at the Battle Of Tours in 732. You'll have to go some to top that.

OL,

Wonderful news of YL2's great accomplishment. Outstanding, and thanks so much for sharing that. It's wonderful how on the same day in the same thread we can vicariously take joy in learning that somebody's grandma banged Henry the VIII in some parsonage as he was chopping off Anne Boleyn's head, and at the same time we can also be pumped about another beautiful gal becoming a Doctor:) Marvelous all around.

And belated Happy B-days to Glasater and TC.

Buckeye, I recall a few years back when this Brit couple unexpectedly discovered a portrait of Henry the 8th on the plaster in their home, made supposedly right around Anne Boleyn times. Worth a link I think, for a contemporary look at your Grampa: The King's Head: Couple uncover 500-year-old painting of Henry VIII while renovating their home

Do you notice any family resemblance?

henry

With Twitter and FB getting all the accolades for imposing SJW values on their customer bases, Google had to dig deep to be stupid enough to reclaim top of the trigglypuff heap. Mission Accomplished. (Although with all the WH visits this could be another Ben Rhodes production).

Jack is Back!

I use DuckDuckGo on my laptop. Never a problem. Good results. But my search curriculum not as technical or esoteric as DrJ I imangine.

Theo

I have no idea what Google was thinking, but my working hypothesis is that she was a woman of color with a strong claim to victim hood and outspoken radical leftist views. From their point of view, what was not to like? The fact that she wasn't black but really dug Malcolm X is a major plus for them. The fact that she had the usual leftist heroes, especially Che, was not a problem for them. Outside of a small handful of afficianados, most people cannot tell you who or what Shining Path is and there is no standard understanding that they are outside the zone of acceptable left wing admirees.

On bin Laden, if they thought about it much -- which they probably did not -- they probably would have thought that was a bit more than they liked, but I doubt they considered it a big deal. They were promoting her as an outspoken woman of color/victim, not as a bin Laden groupie, an aspect of her resume they probably thought of as odd rather than repulsive. A bit like the way a lot of people speak admiringly of Ghandi, either ignorant of or overlooking some of the nice things he said about Hitler. I doubt those people admire Ghandi BECAUSE of those things, they just don't care that much about them in context of the total person. Same thing here I think.

henry

Yesterday I saw that Virginia's VoterID law was ok'd by the courts. Still under assault here (round 3 or so in Federal Court):

Those watching the Voter ID trial in fed court say the sob stories are more of the same: Lots of emotion but no tales of NOT GETTING AN ID!

The Obama appointee judge wont care.

Air Assault50

Theo is stuck on stupid. As if Google in their effort to delegitimize capitalism, freedom and democracy (the greater truth) needs rationalization at JOM.

F**K Sergei Brin.

Say, isn't he a Rooskie? You take the boy out of the old Soviet but you can't take the old Soviet out of the boy.

Janet S.

If 1/1,000,000 of the effort that is put into FIGHTING voter ID went into helping the few people that need help getting one (need a ride, can't read, whatever)...the "I can't get an ID" kvetching would be taken care of.

Theo

I seem to recall that the Dems tried to put on a class action lawsuit to challenge the voter ID law someplace, maybe Indiana. I think the lawsuit died because they could not find a single person to be the class representative. Supposedly millions of people were losing the right to vote because of theses laws, but the Dems, after beating the bushes, could not find ONE. Besides, it is my experience that in order to get into a courthouse in this country --at least a lot of them -- you have to go through a metal detector and show a government issued ID.

James D

I wonder if the clowns at google who decided to celebrate Ms. Kochiyama have the slightest idea that, had they lived in Mao's China, they - and their families - would have been among the very first victims of the Cultural Revolution (which Ms. Kochiyama had nothing but praise for)?

Or that had they lived during the time of Che, or in Peru during the heyday of the Shining Path, that they - and, again, their families - would have been prime targets for the terror of Ms. Kochiyama's heroes?

Mother(redacted) morons.

henry

Theo, a Mexican or Illinois government ID (for example) works fine for getting into a courthouse in Madison WI. For voting, they are not valid. Hence lawsuit.

Of course they do not think that way (or that well). Someone posted here the other day that captured their mindset perfectly. A man tells some young leftist female that he believes that women should have no rights and gays should be hanged. The woman responds in horror and tells him his views are repulsive and he must be a Republican. He responds no, he is a devout Muslim and those are the teachings of his religion. She profusely apologizes to him.

As long as you hate America, you are all right with these people, even if you believe everything they despise. Even if you would kill THEM at the first opportunity.

...Sanders and his campaign are being shamefully irresponsible. Rather than accept defeat, they claim loudly that the party's nominating process was rigged against them...

So, he has to accept defeat, then continue a sham "campaign."

some sense in our incarceration debate,

"Take a look at the facts. First, the claim that too many criminals are being jailed, that there is over-incarceration, ignores an unfortunate fact: for the vast majority of crimes, a perpetrator is never identified or arrested, let alone prosecuted, convicted, and jailed," Cotton said during a speech at The Hudson Institute, according to his prepared remarks. "Law enforcement is able to arrest or identify a likely perpetrator for only 19 percent of property crimes and 47 percent of violent crimes. If anything, we have an under-incarceration problem."

When a media person asks a Republican a question - they always answer, sometimes they stammer, often they dig a deeper hole, but ALWAYS act polite, appropriate, and all that.

When a Dem is asked a question - they get this:

"You are a Republican tracker who has been brought by a Republican organization and paid to ask that question,

"So, could you tell us your name, the name of the organization that's paying you, and how much they're paying you?"

And, furthermore, does your mother know you're working for Donald Trump?"

(Sorry for the long post; it started out as one paragraph, I promise)

You know, JiB, that Wall Street Journal article completely blinks on the primary reason Obama is not more of a focus this campaign cycle. It is also the primary reason Republicans have been unable to check Obama's severe overreach during his two terms -- plain and simple, his blackness.

Black and White people long ago figured out that screaming racism neutralizes every political disagreement.

White conservatives have been unable to consolidate around a mutually-agreeable way to deal with this craziness. Up until this year, I've had a really hard time figuring out why. But given the exhibition of the #NeverTrump people this cycle, I now understand. It has been quite a revelation.

The #NeverTrump people represent that class of folk who don't quite understand they've been bamboozled in a way that tends to lead the constituency they (the #NeverTrump people) ostensibly represent down the Charlie Brown road to frustration. The #NeverTrump people have signed off on protocols, presumably well-intentioned social protocols of what to do and not do, which have been established that empowers African Americans to view racism as something they cannot by definition practice, which also simultaneously empowers those on the left to employ that racism nuclear bomb at will. Those protocols, however, also required that average White Americans were regularly shat upon as socially backwards (or worse). My experience didn't back that assessment up.

However, that existing environment has inoculated Obama from a serious check-and-balance during his Presidency in such an undeniable way that sufficient levels of white people on the left and center-left have rejected it. Trump has jabbed Obama, to be sure, but hasn't overdosed on it and I think that is wise.

After getting over my disappointment that Rubio wasn't embraced in the numbers I thought he deserved (in an ordinary political year, that is), I'm now fascinated to learn the answer to this question: am I correct that this isn't an ordinary political year? Does Trump represent the much-needed political paradigm shift? Can we now have grown-ass conversations about race in America that start from a *neutral* place (if they have to be had at all) rather than from a place deep in the bowels of a strong presumption of white guilt?

I think so.

I'm hoping and praying that Trump is able to navigate his way to victory in November. We desperately need a Democrat Party that is not warped by identity politics, a party on the left that can look at the foolish black girl with the "America Was Never Great" hat and confidently rebuke her.

I know, I know -- that last bit may be far too much to hope for but I'm an optimistic man. Gotta get to work on this rainy Friday.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

I think Google's idiocy in honoring a mass murder celebrating communist as one of their pet heroes is worse and more basic than has been acknowledged.

It is the worst kind of white male patriarchal patronization.

The fact is the SJW/BLM/Occupy people are exactly right in their accusations against white heterosexual males. Except they are right only about that subset of them that is so effed up, insecure, racist and ideologically rigid that they don't suffer from the soft bigotry of lowered expectations they display the rock hard bigotry of a slave owner. They don't lower their standards for minorities; they disappear them.
Any person with a different color of skin who holds any opinion left of center is championed as a hero, because deep down they have no expectation any of them can do anything on their own. A semi-articulate one, like Van Jones or the screeching Maoist, is to the white left like a genuine talking dog; a miracle too good not to cheer no matter what comes out of its mouth.

It's easy to test;
Does anyone think Google would have put some white-bread, hetero dude on its home page who projectile vomited the same simple-minded, calamitous evil as Kristy Commygoochy or whatever her name is?
Of course not.
