Bernie Sanders is in California preparing to break precedent as he tries to become President:
Sanders is pouring a mountain of time and resources into the Golden State in an effort to claim as many of the state’s 475 pledged delegates as possible. He has been crisscrossing the state on and off for a week, attracting tens of thousands of supporters to rallies in Los Angeles, San Diego, Carson and other places....
“We believe we are going to do something in this campaign that has never, ever been done in the modern history of Democratic politics,” Sanders told reporters after a rally in Los Angeles on Monday. “We will be holding rallies up and down the state, the central part of the state, that we think will bring out at least 200,000 people. We expect that roughly speaking, some 5 million people will be participating in the Democratic primary on June 7. To win that, you’re gonna need about 250 million people. And we think we stand a good chance, above and beyond everything else we’re doing, to communicate with about 10 percent of the votes that we need to win here in California.”
5 million people will vote so he will need 250 million votes to win? No wonder he thinks he can raise taxes on a few people and collect lots more money.
Or, are the editors here even reading the text? The odds are excellent that Bernie said 'Two point five million', which would be half of the 5 million total votes (later I will link to a You-Tube instructional video on boiling water for tea.) From which it follows - strap in for the high priced math! - that if he can reach 200,000 prospective voters at rallies in the central state, he will be close to reaching ten percent of the 2.5 million voters needed to win.
For a state that routinely relies on television and radio because it is too big to cover otherwise, having that many people at rallies might well be new. Just as he claimed.
Primo!

Miss Marple,
Hold off a while on buying a new house down there and consider moving to Alaska. Pretty soon they're going to be giving houses away up here: BP (British Petroleum) to put Alaska headquarters up for sale
The global energy giant, one of Alaska's big three oil companies, is exploring similar deals for a number of offices in the rest of the U.S and the United Kingdom as it struggles to rein in seven straight year-on-year quarters of plunging earnings. The readjustments to its real estate assets are happening in concert with large layoffs worldwide, including hundreds of job cuts in Alaska and pullbacks in project spending.

What should worry Democrats most is Trump’s gain with millennial voters.
Trump is now in a virtual dead heat with Hillary with voters 18-29 years old.
That’s a 36 point swing in one month!
In March, Clinton led Trump among under-30s by 39 percentage points, 64-25 percent. Today they split 45-42 percent. It’s a group Barack Obama won by 23 points in 2012, and one that Clinton needs back.

With Ben Rhodes telling us how he/the Obama administration & the MFM played America...I would love it if a reporter (one reporter?, any reporter?, HELLO??) would look back on the roll out of other agenda items of this administration.
What was the coordination between the Obama administration + advocacy organizations + the media with other agenda items? What "news" organizations ran stories as battleground prep to help the administration?
It seems like, since Ben was willing to say how the game was played with the Iran deal,....we should be able to SEE & SHOW other Americans how they are played by the sycophantic MFM.

"Now who might those “US officials briefed on the probe” be? People with political motives to leak this news. Four basic alternatives suggest themselves:
*Someone who wants to damage the Hillary Clinton campaign and is anxious to open a new front in the public controversies over her political machine, including the Clinton Foundation.
*Someone anxious to demonstrate that the ongoing FBI probe is serious, and that the Justice Department will not take a dive on pursuing the issues beyond the negligent handling of classified material.
*Someone who wants to crate pressure on the Justice Department to act on whatever FBI referrals may be coming.
*Someone wants to warn McAuliffe and his associates that they are under scrutiny.
None of these alternatives is good news for the Clinton Machine."

"With the recent Ben Rhodes admission of manipulating the media for the Iran deal, it would be interesting to go back & look at the media PUSH for gun control preceding F&F blowing up when Brian Terry was killed.
I know the WaPo had geared up & was running stories on our lax gun control laws helping the drug cartels.

There's just so much power and so much money concentrated in DC, Miss Marple. Even decent people can be corrupted by that alure. Cut the budget and return the power and money to the states. All we have to do is convince the politicians with the power and the money to give it back. That should be pretty easy. :)

I agree with JCB - the McAuliffe investigation is a blue on blue shot across the bow. See Hillary, we can take your key allies down with a snap of the finger. And you'll have a hell of a time winning without VA. Better reconsider this doomed quest of yours.

Watching the Trump rally.
He just called the press "dishonest slime."
I don't care who you supported, words like that just warm the cockles of my heart.

B of E --
You are right about too much power and money in DC. On an earlier thread someone noted that the Earned Income Tax Credit program has been ripped off for 15+ BILLION dollars. I semi jokingly said that in DC that's just a pittance.
Some people pointed out all the wonderful things that could be done with the money -- health care, scientific research, etc. but to me, that is exactly the wrong way to look at it. It's the way Democrats look at government money -- thinking about all the good things (in their case, hiring bureaucrats) that could be done with it.
As you say, we need the money to go back to the taxpayers. Or, in the moment, used to pay down debt, which is close to the same thing.

I have to think the legal departments of any insurance companies stupid enough to have issued policies to Oliver are busy trying to call this latest insanity suicide of sorts.
