Just today the NY Times mentions four torpedos in the water aimed at the Good Ship Hillary.
First, that pesky FOIA which her defenders think Hillary hoped to circumvent with a private email server:
WASHINGTON — A former aide to Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state testified behind closed doors for two hours Wednesday in the first in a series of depositions that are likely to raise more questions about Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server just as she prepares for an election campaign against Donald J. Trump.
The former aide, Lewis A. Lukens, testified under oath about his knowledge of Mrs. Clinton’s private email system as part of a lawsuit brought against the State Department by a conservative legal advocacy group, Judicial Watch.
And what did he say? Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon...
Thomas Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, who took part in Mr. Lukens’s deposition, said afterward that he could not discuss the substance of the testimony because of the ground rules set by Judge Sullivan.
But Mr. Fitton predicted that once the testimony is publicly released — perhaps as early as next week — it would show “why the State Department and Mrs. Clinton have slow-rolled this and withheld a complete explanation of what went on with her email system. What we learned is going to be embarrassing to Mrs. Clinton and the administration — maybe more than embarrassing.”
He refused to elaborate, citing the court’s restrictions.
And this is just the first of a few:
At least five other officials — including two of Mrs. Clinton’s top aides at the State Department, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin — are also scheduled to testify in the lawsuit over the next six weeks in what promises to be an unwelcome distraction for the Clinton campaign.
The last deposition is set for June 29 — less than a month before the start of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, where Mrs. Clinton is widely expected to win her party’s nomination for president over challenger Bernie Sanders.
Assuming the depositions continue to be released roughly a week later, we should have a complete set around Independence Day.
The Judicial Watch story also notes the ongoing FBI investigation, which needs to be wrapped up so AG Loretta Lynch can formally quash it:
Meanwhile, the F.B.I. is continuing to investigate the issue of Mrs. Clinton’s private email server to determine whether any federal laws regarding the handling of classified material or other issues may have been broken.
There is more - Bernie has no intention of going quietly into that good night:
Bernie Sanders, Eyeing Convention, Willing to Harm Hillary Clinton in the Homestretch
Defiant and determined to transform the Democratic Party, Senator Bernie Sanders is opening a two-month phase of his presidential campaign aimed at inflicting a heavy blow on Hillary Clinton in California and amassing enough leverage to advance his agenda at the convention in July — or even wrest the nomination from her.
Advisers to Mr. Sanders said on Wednesday that he was newly resolved to remain in the race, seeing an aggressive campaign as his only chance to pressure Democrats into making fundamental changes to how presidential primaries and debates are held in the future.
Between Judicial Watch and the FBI he may have a lot to work with. But one last thing! Color me skeptical but the House Republicans may manage to make news with their maybe-some-day-soon Benghazi report:
Benghazi Panel, Plodding Along, May Conclude Near Conventions or Election
I think Bernie and Judicial Watch take us into Game of Thrones territory here. The CW, which I currently share, is that Loretta Lynch won't allow Her Inevitability to be indicted. However! Suppose the Judicial Watch revelations are sufficiently damaging and Bernie sufficiently successful that Hillary's baggage becomes too heavy for the Dem Establishment to carry (I currently picture them slogging along to the strains of "She Ain't Heavy, She's My Crony". Obama, with one eye on his legacy and another on the polls, might decide that Bernie or Biden are necessary and credible alternatives. A Biden cram-down at this point would complete the 1968 flashback (Hubert Humphrey became the Dem nominee without entering the primaries, prompting massive rule changes), so maybe Bernie is the guy. Keep hope alive!
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: Slogans that ought to be old by now: Hillary - Putting The 'Crone' In Crony Capitalism!
OK, I am claiming independent invention but clearly I am not first with this.
Cannot keep up!

It has occurred to me that this nation is in a bigger world of hurt than we even imagine.
We have at least 50% of our adult population that finds COMMUNISM, yes COMMUNISM a better alternative to Capitalism. We have most people under 40 completely brainwashed or ignorant of what actually works. And as I've said here for 8 plus years. The LEFT has gone THE FULL COMMIE.
Meanwhile the GOP tries to play nice with them, in fact the GOP capitulates to EVERY GAME THE LEFT PLAYS. Every single one.

I have a fairly low opinion of Dan Snyder, but one thing I have to say that I've been with him on is his refusal to change the name of the Redskins.
And now it seems as though he has some tangible support for his stance:
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/new-poll-finds-that-9-in-10-native-americans-not-offended-by-redskins-name
The WaPo article about the poll is hilarious. The proponents of forcing the team to change the name all come across like idiots who care far more about making themselves feel good than about the people they are claiming to represent (which they are)

Everywhere I look there is nothing but transgender this and transgender that...
The guide says businesses can avoid penalties “by creating a policy of asking everyone what their preferred gender pronoun is so that no individual is singled out for such questions and by updating their system to allow all individuals to self-identify their names and genders. They should not limit the options for identification to male and female only.”

Late last night Fox News was doing complete non-stop coverage, even though almost nothing was happening. They kept interviewing pilots and asking the same (largely hypothetical) questions and getting the same answers, while zero new information was coming in.

On the Dog Walk last night I heard news clips of Dem Congressman Dick Durbin in high dudgeon damning the Republican's for "taking chances with the Publics safety" by refusing to fully fund the billions Obama wants for the Zika Virus. Then they dragged in some CDC head to make the same charge, only more fervently.
It struck me that releasing 40,000 Illegal alien criminals from American Prisons, including, rapists and murderers isn't considered "taking chances with the Publics safety." Nor is urging the acceptance of 100,000 unveiled Syrian refugees considered "taking chances with the Publics safety." Nor is ordering hundreds to thousands of unknown, unvetted, illegals per day to be released at the Border to go wherever they will inside the country "taking chances with the Publics safety."
Nor is dumping thousands of Somali immigrants into Minnesota with an astronomical Tuberculosis infection rate considered "taking chances with the Publics safety." Nor is allowing Ebola exposed individuals entry into the country "taking chances with the Publics safety." Nor is giving Iran $150 Billion to continue their Terror Funding and Nuclear Enrichment Program "taking chances with the Publics safety." And how come it's not "taking chances with the Publics safety," when we continue to plan for our athletes to go to Brazil for the Summer Olympics?
Only when we refuse to give Obama all the Billions he asks to combat Zika is it considered "taking chances with the Publics safety," and amazingly the only body taking these anti-Safety chances are "the Republicans."
How come all those exceptionally risky items I listed up top that the Dem's are doing and have done, isn't "taking chances with the Publics safety?"
And how many Billions does it cost to fire up some 1950's era DDT trucks?

Rich,
Dennis Prager did a convincing segment last night covering the angry Left driven protests in the streets when opposing Trump and now doing the same with the death threats against the head Dem Lady in Nevada. Dennis's well made point was that the only way Facism will come to this country is if it comes in via the Left, not the Right.
He also was very angry in that we on the Right never name the Enemy, and it fit in well with his latest column: Why Don’t Republicans Name the Enemy?

Hysterical girl creates rape hoax as part of effort to land guy. And the Obama White House, and pretty much all of the press and much of Congress, wanted to change policy nationwide because of this story.
And THIS is why I went on and on about the horrible college rape bill, and what a disaster it was for GOP Senators (like Rubio and Ayotte and others) to support it.

Sebastian Gorka is on with Trish on FOX Business, mentioning how this particular plane had recently landed at other airports with much less Security, where something could have been placed on board for later detonation, thus avoiding the tighter Security that exists at the major Western Airports like CDG.
Again, FWIW, a company I am familiar with, about 6 months back initiated a Security Training program where at different times items are placed inside an aircraft in order to test if crews are able to detect them during their preflight inspections. There are lots of cubby-holes.
We know from the previous explosion onboard Somali based Daallo Airlines some months back, that the terrorist was somehow given his laptop bomb simply walking through the terminal.
I think this is the shot of the guy with the explosive computer exchanging it with an accomplice who got it on board the plane to the perp---something like that.

I first started doubting Trey Gowdy's skilz, when his Benghazi committee finally got a fact-to-face with Clinton, and he couldn't even manage to lay a glove on her. It seemed so strange to me that I've always wondered if the Clinton team didn't actually take him by surprise when she agreed to sit for his committee, because the Republicans seemed stunningly ill-prepared for that. I sympathize with his desire to cross ts and dot is, but it's hard to believe he was naive enough to think that he could avoid being accused of playing politics that way.
On the other hand, it's not the first time I've been amazed at how cautious Congressional inquisitors (at least on the Republican side) so often seem to be. I began to question Cruz's savvy, when he so clearly bungled the logistics of his climate change hearing.
Oversight and accountability is a key Congressional function, and we've got to figure out how to do it effectively or governance by White House Diktat is not just here to stay. It's going to get much, much worse, and it's going to take more than just electing a Republican president to change that.

Saw a monument on the town square that I initially thought commemorated WW1; wrong-o, it was from the Civil war and inscribed with every local who served with a special designation if they were killed. Real history in front of my eyes

2. Donald Trump is not a country club Republican. He’s the guy who built the country club for the kind of Republicans who wouldn’t approve him for membership.
I remember Gus referring to Trump a while back as Rodney Dangerfield.

FOX Business: In a segment titled "Google Honors America Hating Al Qaeda Sympathizer" FOX reports that if you click on the Google Homepage today you will see an image of some Asian woman protester, Yuri Kochiyama, speaking into a microphone in front of protest signs:
FOX News continues with this quote from Yuri: ...I consider Osama Bin laden as one of the people that I admire. To me, he is in the category of Malcom X, Che Guevara, Patrice Lumumba, Fidel Castro, all leaders that I admire...They all had sever dislike for the US government and those who held power in the US. I think all of them felt the US government and its spokesmen were all arrogant, racist, hypocritical, self-righteous, and power hungry."
If, to take an example, there's a better description of murdering racist Che' than arrogant, racist, hypocritical, self-righteous, and power hungry," I'm unaware of it.

With Morley Safer of "60 Minutes" dead, and Camille Paglia mentioned and linked earlier, worth mentioning that in a short segment today Rush discussed years back being invited to some New York dinner-party shindig. He wound up being seated next to Camille, and as the night wore on he noticed multiple "60 Minutes" honchos, (Safer, Ed Bradley, Mike Wallace) stopping by his table to overhear the conversation and hoping for fireworks, not realizing that Camille and Rush, tho' political opposites, had been buddies from way, way back and really like and admire each other, and that the "60 Minutes" guys were bummed, not getting the fireworks that they were obviously hoping for.

TC, you have no idea what it was like to be with him camped out in Columbus for a week at a time for rate hearing. Other worldly volumes of consumption. A Rabelaisian character.

Camille has admired Rush for a long time as an exquisite entertainer and she doesn't care how many snobbish noses get disjointed over that.

From Nate Silver's latest:
"Although many Sanders supporters will start the general election campaign with a negative view of Clinton, they aren’t necessarily eager to vote for Trump. In the YouGov poll, just 55 percent of Sanders supporters said they’d vote for Clinton over Trump in November. However, only 15 percent said they’d vote for Trump. That leaves 30 percent of Sanders voters who say they are undecided, would vote for a third-party candidate or would sit out the election."
He goes on to say that these voters -- Sanders supporters who identify as "independent" and not as Democrats and who have an unfavorable view of Rodham -- may be the key to the election.
Maybe the party with the greatest danger of losing through disunity is the Democratic Party.
Maybe.....

Catherine Herridge on FOX just adds this from the French equivalent of the head of their CIA:
Herridge: Also this morning a transcript was released from a secret brief last week for a French Government Committee, from Frances equivalent of the CIA Director, who warned that a string of Terrorist attacks by ISIS, using package bombs, was possible in France, though his comments focused on Stadiums and places where large crowds congregate, and did not specifically refer to aircraft. Quote "Clearly France is the most threatened and we know that Daesh (Islamic State) is planning new attacks" Patrick Calvary told the French Government Committee on May 10th. "It's in a position where it would try to hit as quickly as possible and as hard as possible...it is facing Military difficulties on the ground and so will want to divert attention and avenge coalition air strikes."

I think it's easier to list the things that Henny Penny Ayotte hasn't screwed her Tea Party supporters on.
The thing is, siding with the Dems on the fake campus rape bill doesn't just screw over her supporters. It screws over other Republicans, and it screws over ALL her constituents, and it screws herself over, too.
Siding with the Dems on a bill that uses fake statistics to combat a nonexistent "war on women" is basically saying "Yes, we're sexist, but we're only 55% as sexist as the Democrats say we are!" That is a losing argument, and it damages other GOP candidates (Tea Party and other wise), and ultimately herself in her next campaign.
But it also damages all the men in her state, because the bill paints them all as rapists and strips away due process rights from them. And it damages the women, too, by reinforcing the harmful idea that all they are or can ever be is victims.
It is bad policy. It is bad politics. It is bad on every level, and there is absolutely no upside to it.
It boggles my mind that they can't see that.
