I think the 1,300 or so executive branch appointees, including lower federal court judges, U.S. Attorneys, and the top 2-3 levels of every agency, are an equally important reason.

Keeping Sid Blumenthal, David Brock. Huma Abdelin and the rest of the Clinton Family All Stars out of the white House is another strong reason, I'd say.

Theo, you say a lot of stuff about Mr. Trump that isn't true.

You say he is not for free trade. What is "free" about "free trade" when American sellers can't sell their products to other countries, resulting billions of dollars in trade deficits and the loss of American jobs? (and American markets flooded with cheap crap.) Mr. Trump says free trade has to be fair trade, that the current deals are good for everyone else, but terrible for America.

You say he's big government guy. I guess you never read the story about Wollman rink. He hates big lethargic bureaucracies and if he's ever president, he'll be cutting large amounts of waste and corruption. He prides himself on getting jobs done under budget and before deadline which is not the way big government operates.

daddy on the iPad The Profit it of Islam invented NASA,

In all this back and forth of Charles Murray or whomeverr and the #NeverTrump arguments, if I may kindly posit this as a rejoinder coming from an average tipsy bar stool guy a sheet or 2 to the wind.

Jesus, ("Son o'God) couldn' t keep 12 guys on the same piece of paper. Period.

Nor could King David: "Uriah, please move closer to the enemy troops , so you will be killed and I can bang your wife that I saw taking a Bath") , etc (see Western Civilization)

Whatever the reasons we have constructed over the last 2000 years to explain the reasons why Jesus, (Son Of God) couldn't keep those 12 guys on the same sheet of paper, or why King of the Jews, David , 3000 years ago, couldn't keep his pecker out of Bathsheba (the wife of Uriah) my humble brain makes me keep in mind the failure of humans who desire the perfect over what they see right on front of them. If Jesus couldn't keep the "Clean Toga" crowd, why the hell should we be giving any credence to those on the side of NRO, waiting yet for some impossible brand of human perfection that has never yet existed on Earth, except in those who cowtow without reservation to the figure of head-chopping, pedophiliac Muhammed, who in the words of Obama must not be slandered. Miss Marple 2

I already apologized, so I am not saying any more.

Theo, I figured out (while I was driving to pick up my granddaughter) what bugs me.

I used to sell furniture, in one of my many careers. It was an upper end type store which sold custom sofas fromm different manufacturers.

I had a lot of great customers, but a few were very taxing, because they couldn't make decisions. They would take fabric samples home (after spending a couple hours going through the rack) and come back and say they had decided. Then I would get a call to cancel the order, because they weren't sure it would work if they bought new recliners later. Then they woudl come back and get MORE samples, repeat the process. Then they would decide on a fabric (FINALLY) but then change their minds on the frame.

Sometimes this went on for two months. I was on commission, so I had to put up with this for NO PAY until they actually ordered something.

I make decision quickly. If I am wrong, I'm wrong. I don't wring my hands over mistakes, just move on. So the sofa indecision drove me nuts.

You are sort of like those sofa decision people. I don't understand it, because my personality is sort of abrupt and practical. I don't feel like I have to make the absolutely right decision, just one I can live with. You aren't that way. You are afraid you will make the wrong decision.

That's why I fuss at you.

This is not a personal attack at all; I am just pointing out differences in our personality types.

For what it's worth, I no longer shop with my daughter. She once spent over an hour picking out 3 pieces of lumber at Lowe's for an art school installation project, asking me to tell her my opinion on grain, color, and knotholes or lack thereof. I almost ran screaming into the parking lot. LOL!

I was just realizing today after an unpleasant wade through the wiener swamps at NRO and the Federalist that the #nevertrump crowd has switched from their almost incessant schoolgirl squealing of doom that "Oh no! Trump can never win!" to "Oh no! Trump is going to win!"

Iggy,

Prager in a recent conversation with #NeverTrumper Ben Shapiro said that a problem for the #NeverTrumperw was what if Trump wins and he does well. Then they are in a world of hurt . They are invested in him either losing or being a terrible Prez so they can then say "See, it wasn't us principled Conservatives, we were right all along."

But if he winds up being a good President, they are SOL.

They're SOL anyway; who would trust a bunch of whiny losers who run away crying when things don't go their way. Trump wasn't my first or second choice but he won by playing by the rules. It wasn't his doing that the RNC set up those stupid debates like reality shows and then **SHOCKA** a mega star of reality tv won as everybody scurried around to make sure Megyn was receiving the proper amount of smelling salts instead of telling the RNC to take control of the food fights and start making the networks ask policy questions of substance.

With the way "debates" are handled in the general election, maybe this was the right way to do things. Does anybody think the last two tomato cans would ever have mentioned what a perv Slick was and is? When you have somebody with his baggage and a party of nervous nellies who don't want to bring it up, you deserve to lose. And I'm tired of losing. It's really that simple.

GUS

Washerwoman-Schlitz is toast. Rodham is in deep deep do-do. The party is going to have to suck up to the hard core commies or Trump is going to clean Rodhams clock. It's hilarious watching and reading the MFM describe how the GOPe is fractured. Who knows how many emails were on her private system? We only know what SHE says.
The numbers SHE throws around are:

*a total of 62,320 sent and received emails on her private system

*30,490 work related emails that she printed off & gave to State - hard copy, not electronic

*31,830 private emails deleted (yoga, Chelsea's wedding, & possibly hot sauce discussions)

The other number I always see in the MFM is 55,000. That is the number of printed pages of the 30,490 work related emails.

Janet, your posts have been VERY good this week.
You know, reporting fact is difficult, the MFM reports what the left TELLS THEM to report. On a related note, TK was the first here (I believe) to note the decline of Megyn Kelly. I clicked on FOX for a minute tonight, and Megyn Kelly is not the same Megyn Kelly of 2 years ago. She is not "an act". Sort of like O'Really!!

Miss Marple 2

GUS,

Leaving aside her feud with Trump, I trace her decline beginning to that article which talked about her interviews and how anyone appearing on the show had a "Megyn Kelly moment."

I think it was in either Vanity Fair or The Atlantic.

It seemed tome she got very full of herself as a star.

I really liked her show when it was on in the afternoon. When she went to nighttime, she was still fine for a while, but all you had to see was her big shot entrance into the first debate and you could see she had changed.

"Does anybody think the last two tomato cans would ever have mentioned what a perv Slick was and is? When you have somebody with his baggage and a party of nervous nellies who don't want to bring it up, you deserve to lose."

I've come to the conclusion that the reason the GOPe won't bring it up is because there are more than a few pervy GOPe'rs who persuade the others to not talk about the pervy Dems.
I know that's not exactly a revelation to some but it just hit me that it may be worse than I thought. And I already had a cynical, low opinion of most politicians.

Look at this crap - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/katie-couric-under-gun-filmmaker-897507

"“There are a wide range of views expressed in the film," Soechtig, the doc's director, said Wednesday in a statement. "My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans' opinions on background checks. I never intended to make anyone look bad and I apologize if anyone felt that way.”

Couric, who narrated and served as executive producer, offered the following: "I support Stephanie's statement and am very proud of the film.""

Giving those people a voice and a stake again in the country's success is a secret to why Trump is popular.

Oh how I hope it works. I would like to see, once again, the unification of this country like I saw for a few weeks after 9/11. The feeling that we were all in this together. The confidence that if we were attacked, that people would rally round us, black and white, all religions, rich and poor.

We really are under attack, although not by bombs. We are under attack through trade, through people coming across the border, through the undermining of our culture, etc.

I would like us to look at each other as family. Don't know if it will be possible, but I hope Trump will try.

Porchlight

New poll has Clinton +11 over Trump in NJ. Obama beat Romney by 18 points in NJ.

Again, as with the similar CA poll yesterday, if Trump does 6-7 points better than Romney across the board.....

It does make me wonder if they're going to pull a switcheroo.

If so, what happens to the Dems when big Hill donors learn that the lousy shill to whom they paid so much filthy lucre is not going to be in office to come through on those polite requests for favors?
