The NY Times adopts the tried-and-true Hillary line about "old news" in describing the final House report on Benghazi:
House Benghazi Report Finds No New Evidence of Wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton
That's reassuring for libs, who can find reassurance in the notion that they won't need to close their eyes to anything new, and can keep on ignoring the same old same old.
WASHINGTON — Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead.
The 800-page report, however, included some new details about the night of the attacks, and the context in which it occurred, and it delivered a broad rebuke of government agencies like the Defense Department, the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department — and the officials who led them — for failing to grasp the acute security risks in the Libyan city, and especially for maintaining outposts in Benghazi that they could not protect.
The committee, led by Representative Trey Gowdy, Republican of South Carolina, also harshly criticized an internal State Department investigation that it said had allowed officials like Mrs. Clinton, then the secretary of state, to effectively choose who would investigate their actions. In addition, it reiterated Republicans’ complaints that the Obama administration had sought to thwart the investigation by withholding witnesses and evidence.
The report, however, did not dispute that United States military forces stationed in Europe could not have reached Benghazi in time to rescue the personnel who died — a central finding of previous inquiries.
Still, it issued stinging criticism of the overall delay in response and the lack of preparedness on the part of the government.
“The assets ultimately deployed by the Defense Department in response to the Benghazi attacks were not positioned to arrive before the final lethal attack,” the committee wrote. “The fact that this is true does not mitigate the question of why the world’s most powerful military was not positioned to respond.”
“What was disturbing from the evidence the Committee found was that at the time of the final lethal attack,” the panel added, “no asset ordered deployed by the Secretary had even left the ground.
Timing is everything. As to how people could have known at the outset of the attack just how long it would go on, obviously Team Obama is staffed with seers and savants.
shocker, how the committee missed this, sarc,

They left everybody at the annex to die, because they sent no help. They only got lucky that so many of the staff survived.
They didn't even send forces to secure the area afterwards. If they had, CNN wouldn't have found Stevens' diary on his desk when they got there three days later.
I love the excuse "but we couldn't have gotten there in time." How the [REDACTED] could you possibly have known that when the attack was in progress?
Unless they did know it.

I'm interested in how Paul Ryan plans on dealing with those deadbeat protesters as he claimed he would do if they pull that sit-in stunt again when Congress returns. Keep in mind that this doesn't have anything to do with Constitutional or conservative values; it made him look bad as far as running the House smoothly. I'm sure he bent over backwards to appease those lowlifes but to no avail.
He certainly understands that those grifters have never worked an honest day in their disgusting lives. When he was learning the ins and outs of congressional finances from Barney Frank, I'm sure the old pervert with poorly fitting dentures told him some monetary ways to punish people that you only break out when all else fails. If so, I can't wait.

Good Morning.
You guys will recall from the John Krakauer Book (Into The Wild) and from the Sean Penn Movie, that 20 years back we had some idealistic rich kid hike off to some abandoned School Bus in Denali with zero supplies, and he starved or froze to death during the Winter.

Well Part 2 of the story is that now very year we get other wannabe's that decide to do a Pilgrimage to the school bus to emulate their Folk Hero, and invariably they go out with insufficient equipment and supplies, and we wind up spending hundreds of man-hours and many thousands of dollars searching for these goombahs.
Just had 2 more do the same thing: Rescued hikers were returning from 'Into the Wild' bus
"Neither Trigg nor Aslund had a satellite phone or rescue locator device with them, but they were carrying extra supplies.
The pair made it to the bus and left a note, which the search team found. However, when Trigg and Aslund were making their way back, they realized they were running late and tried a shortcut by crossing the Teklanika River on the Stampede Trail. They turned back after almost being swept downstream.
About 24 people worked to find the lost hikers, including four ground teams and a helicopter."
-----------------------------------
The ADN rag has a weaker write-up, not mentioning the particulars of the rescue Team, but the comments are better.
Anyhow, suggestions are that we helo' the sacred School Bus 300 miles south to Anchorage so that future morons quit getting lost "In The Wild" and costing us millions. Other suggestions including dragging it to a nearby road and turning it into a roadside Coffee Kiosk---I'm for that!

Except of course if the something everyone knows is "climate change," or any other scheme on the left. Then it's "Science."

I fully understand Rush's frustration today at the Press during the Gowdy and Jim Jordan Benghazi Report release today.
If the tables were turned the Dem's would be vilely smearing, with a Thesaurus, any Republican who had done a hundredth of what Hillary did during Benghazi. Yet our side plays by the rules, stating "We were not tasked with placing blame on any one person---we were tasked with finding out what happened and when, and it is all in the report so go read the report."
The Media will not read the report, and the Media will play this to the public as the Takeaway:
"Republican's find no blame of Hillary in Benghazi Report."
'After an investigation costing millions of dollars and lasting years and years and requiring hundreds of interviews, the Republican investigators place no blame on Hillary Clinton for the deaths of the 4 Americans in Benghazi.'
We know it's bogus, but oh well, thats what we're up against.

Any relatives of any of the Benghazi victims who are willing should be on stage at the GOP convention.
If I were Trump, I'd bring them up right in the middle of my acceptance speech, and I would turn to them, and say to them and to the country:
"I am so ashamed that the President, and his Secretary of State, allowed your relatives to die. That's not what this country is about. That's not who we are. And when I am President, I swear to you, a disgrace like that will never be allowed to happen again. When I am President, and our men and women are under attack, their pleas for help will not be ignored, the way Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton ignored your relatives and left them to die. That's my promise to you, and to every American."

The New York Post’s Page Six reported that after Ashe was found dead Wednesday, the U.N. claimed that he had died from a heart attack. Local police officers in Dobbs Ferry, New York, later disputed that claim, saying instead that he died from a workout accident that crushed his throat.
Adding to the mysterious nature of Ashe’s death was the fact that he had been slated to be in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, from whom he reportedly received over $1 billion in donations during his term as president of the U.N. General

Comey cannot threaten an indictment because all he can do is suggest one to Lynch, and Lynch has as long as she likes to decide.
Since he has always known that, if he cared to seek justice, he should have fast tracked his recommendation months back so that the FBI could leak information to force Lynch to move.
Too late now.
Sort of like Trey Gowdy waiting until now to dump 800 pages of nuthin onto the table.
One might think it was all by design, huh?

#Hillary2016

In other words: As President, she would aim to sign into law a program to provide subsidies from U.S. taxpayers to Monsanto and other biotech firms, to assist their PR and lobbying organizations to eliminate what she says is “a big gap between the facts and what the perceptions are” concerning genetically modified seeds and other GMOs. In other words: she ignores the evidence that started to be published in scientific journals in 2012 showing that Monsanto and other GMO firms were selectively publishing studies that alleged to show their products to be safe, while selectively blocking publication of studies that — on the basis of better methodology — showed them to be unsafe. She wants U.S. taxpayers to assist GMO firms in their propaganda that’s based on their own flawed published studies, financed by the GMO industry, and that ignores the studies that they refuse to have published. She wants America’s consumers to help to finance their own being poisoning by lying companies, who rake in profits from poisoning them.

BTW,
Dennis Prager, back from a week off yesterday, was very interesting. In Hour 1 he went through how the media coverage would be different if the Muslim who mass murdered Gays in Orlando had been a Christian.
In Hour 2 he made the suggestion that if Trump wins the Election, he ought to push for a Referendum to see if Americans want to stay in the UN or leave the UN.
And he delivered a few other comments as he sometimes does, which make him so valuable and enlightening to listen to, such as this observation:
Prager: I have often said that if you have to isolate one theme in the course of all of my years of broadcasting, it would be the consequences of Secularism. The death of Judeo-Christian Culture, and its norms and its values, with all the flaws that were in the Western World, and there were many, but those were Universal. What is unique to the Western World is not its Evil---it is it's Good. Is that clear? It isn't clear, because it's never said. What is unique to the Western World are not it's Evils---they were Universal; Slavery and the like, Religious Wars and the like. What was unique to the West however, was it's Good; Human Rights, Women's Rights, Democracy. This is what needs to be understood, but it is never taught that way. It's taught as if the Evils of the West were uniquely Western. When Slavery is taught in American Schools do they teach about islamic Slavery, which enslaved about the same number of Black Africans as did Western Slavery? You're listening to the Dennis Prager Show.

Breaking---Gunfire and multiple explosions at the major Airport in Istanbul.
I am racking my brain wondering what in the world might be the motivations of the perps?

8 Pages good. 800 Pages, instantly irrelevant
At the very least it should have an executive summary with four or five short bullet points. Even Gowdy's cover letter, which summarizes the report, just rambles on for 15 pages without coming to a succinct set of conclusions.

Comey cannot threaten an indictment because all he can do is suggest one to Lynch, and Lynch has as long as she likes to decide.
Fine, substitute "recommendation of an indictment" for "indictment" and what I said at 12:40 works just as well.

well he did seem to take the lead in what one writer called intekam, likely syrian elements like the pfpl gc did play a subordinate role, but after the iraq war, focused his attention on a noose,
he seemed to mellow,

I think the idea that Hillary is going to suffer a consequential headache from either Benghazi or her server is just wishful thinking.
This is a in-your-face administration that really doesn't care about the rule of law, just their agenda.
Pikes and pitchforks are the only things I can see making a lasting impression on these thugs.

Shared on Facebook by former Santana drummer Michael Shrieve,
Yeah, because the UK was so helpless without being bossed around by Brussels.
