Nobody likes an "I told you so", which means critics of Obama's open-restrooms policy will be losing a lot of friends:
The authorities in Idaho charged a transgender woman this week with secretly taking pictures of an 18-year-old woman changing in a Target fitting room.
The national retail chain drew praise from transgender advocates and condemnation from conservative groups when it announced in April that it would allow customers to use the restroom or fitting room corresponding to their gender identity.
An officer from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office was called to a Target in Ammon, Idaho, on Monday evening by a woman who said she saw someone reach over the wall separating the fitting rooms there with an iPhone taking pictures or a video, according to a court document. While a majority of Target locations have unisex fitting rooms, the Ammon store does not, a spokeswoman said.
In the longer run, unisex changing rooms and bath rooms are the solution to this particular societal evolution. There are obvious obstacles - it can be expensive; settings that include large crowds, such as concert halls or schools, might need to (horrors!) provide gender-specific facilities complemented by unisex alternatives; and retro-fitting public schools might strain already scarce public funds.
Not to mention feminist complaints about micro-aggressions regarding whether the toilet seat is up or down, and why did that eight-year old boy pee all over it anyway?
All of this could have taken place after something representing a national conversation, but Obama is a man in a hurry.
Forward!
Terrible news for Hillary;

You carefully court the traitor vote by exposing vital intelligence to enemy hackers and the next thing you know some dumb, commie, Jew broad is offering to put a real traitor in charge of national security.

When a newspaper story says "transgender woman" does that mean it's someone born a man who has lopped off his privates to be come a "woman," or someone born a woman who gets a man's privates grafted onto her? Or is it someone who just feels like being the opposite sex? In this case it seems to be the latter. My guess is there's no rhyme or reason to the usage, and this "woman" is as much a "woman" as I am. (No snarky comments, please.)

Catching up, also wanted to comment, perhaps obviously, on this from the last thread:
From the WaPo:
Could anyone honestly make the case that Hillary is qualified temperamentally, ethically, or any other way qualified or suitable?
And why "privately"? This idiot is suggesting that (wink, wink) regardless of people's public support of Trump, no one seriously thinks he's qualified. It's more likely the opposite: In the privacy of the voting booth millions have declared him not only fit, but their preferred candidate, while the enormous abuse heaped on anyone who publicly supports him no doubt has inhibited people from public proclamations.

Posted by: Frau Tee oder Kaffee? | July 15, 2016 at 04:07 PM
jimmyk, I have trouble keeping it straight, but I'm pretty sure "transgender woman" means born-man-now-woman and "transgender man" means born-woman-now-man.
In other words the person's current identity is the one mentioned in the phrase.

Darn it, I didn't even answer the question you asked.
My understanding from SJW observation is that it doesn't matter whether or not the person has had surgery. If they identify as female and are still in full possession of male sporting equipment, they are female. Such as Caitlyn Jenner.
It's all about the feels.
Posted by: Porchlight | July 15, 2016 at 04:09 PM
A trans woman (sometimes trans-woman or transwoman) is a transgender person who was assigned male at birth but whose gender identity is that of a woman. The label of transgender woman is not always interchangeable with that of transsexual woman, although the two labels are often used in this manner. Transgender is an umbrella term that includes different types of gender variant people (including transsexual people).
Posted by: Lurker Susie | July 15, 2016 at 04:10 PM
Yeah, but transgender can be either pre-op, post-op or like apparently many of them never-will-op.

Posted by: lyle | July 15, 2016 at 04:14 PM
I thought "transsexual" was now an archaic term as we must use "gender" now at all times ("sex" being too binary or something).
It used to be that "transgender" was identifying as opposite gender, regardless of whether surgery had taken place, and "transsexual" was if you actually had the surgery.
But I think it's all "transgender" now and if you actually went and had the surgery that doesn't make you any more special than Joe Blow who decides to put on a dress and wander into the Target dressing room for the day.

This lake I've been coming to for six decades is less than ten miles from the National Guard training facility used by Michigan, and at least parts of Indiana and Ohio too.
So I grew up hearing artillery rattle the windows as a routine part of the best days of my life, and regarded the bombers flying overhead as security.
Things got very quiet since 1992 or so. Rarely even saw anybody in uniform in town any more.
There have been more planes drilling in the past two weeks than the past two decades though.
Just sayin.'

Wickedness should be made of firmer stuff. Wickedness is driving a Mack truck into 220 innocents. That's wickedness. And Wickedness is the President standing up and refusing to say that Islam is the cause and the source of that wickedness, while doing everything possible to smear good people who do correctly point out that the source of that wickedness is Islam. That's what wicked is.

The news out of Ankara sounds very hopeful.
Erdogan was probably grabbed by the army's special forces while he was attending 'services' at his usual Friday afternoon mosque.
The tanks and troops sealing off the airports, the bridges, the ferry terminals, etc. sure make it sound as if the military was successful.
The only fly in the ointment is the news that Erdogan has been absent for the past six days - that doesn't sound like a coup that was attempted this afternoon.
A successful coup would be the best news possible wrt the war on terror and ISIS.
Keeping my fingers crossed - but it surely appears as if the military has already succeeded.

He is a man, not a woman. It is ridiculous that "news" organizations play along with the Dem/Progressive agenda by calling this man "she".
Putting on a dress does not make a man a woman.
How insulting to women to even think that. Shame on our "news" media for going along with this craziness.
FTA - "According to the affidavit, Smith told the detective “she finds the video sexually gratifying” and when the deputy looked at the camera roll on Smith’s iPhone, he “observed a video of a young adult female undressing in a changing room at what appear to be Target. The defendant admitted to me that this video was recorded at Target.”
So he is a heterosexual man.

One more link "on topic" that I put up on FB
The video at this link is too sad & pitiful. It is alarming that our society is so fallen that we can't even tell this sick man THE TRUTH.
It is disgraceful that the "news" media participate in this agenda by referring to Sean Smith as "she". Sean Patrick Smith is a man.
He needs help, not lies that validate his delusions.
The video at the link is very sad.
It made me mindful of these Biblical truths:
*God created you - Psalm 139:13-16
*God knows you - Psalm 139:1-4, Romans 3:23
*God loves you - Romans 5:8, John 3:16
*God will help you - Psalm 86:5-7, Psalm 91:14-16, Acts 16:30,31
That is true for Sean Smith, it is true for me, & it is true for every individual.
