Clinton-Half of Trump Supporters Belong in 'Basket of Deplorables'
NEW YORK — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said half the supporters of Republican rival Donald Trump belonged in a "basket of deplorables" of people who were racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, or Islamophobic.
Speaking at a fundraiser on Friday night in New York, Clinton said Trump had given voice to hateful rhetoric through his behaviour as a candidate for the White House in the Nov. 8 election.
"To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the 'basket of deplorables,'" Clinton said. "Unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up."
Half? That is a lot of citizens. Of course, as a category she left out pay-to-play senior government officials who scoff at the rule of law, such as the Freedom of Information Act, and lie to the public about it. "Deplorable" covers that reasonably well.
Nice to see her common touch though. She's a divider, not a uniter, who will be proud to be President of some Americans.
First?

A) Deplorable
B) Homophobic
C) Racist
D) Sexist
E) Hillary's husband who she says she "loves and respects."

maryrose asked me on the other thread how our cocktail party was last night. It was for Lucia's Angels, a local charity for women with advanced cancers like Ovarian and Breast. Two of our local medico's including my Ortho were guest bartenders. My friend dressed up as a DJT clone and our local plastic surgeon went drag as Hillary.
Lots of good humor and fun. However, not much love for Hillary in the medical community thanks to ObamaCare and its effect on late stage cancer for women. To me another nail in her coffin supplied by the Obama hammer.

I'm not trying to offend anywhere by rebringing up Monica and Bill and CigarGate, but when Hillary Clinton starts telling us that we are the deplorable ones, then its no holds barred. She should be clobbered as hard as possible for the colossally deplorable behavior of her husband that she deplorably abetted and excused, and deplorably turned into an opportunity to deplorably malign the decent women that he deplorably raped and deplorably sexually assaulted.
If there's one person in this campaign that knows deplorable behavior intimately it's deplorable Hillary Clinton.

News flash for those blinded by lamps in mid flight: I have pledged allegiance to the flag, and to the nation for which it stands. As far as I can tell, David Duke leads one long established arm of the Democrat Party, which I have never supported.

I think this election is coming down to the suburban persuadables in the battleground states, which is where critters such as Kasich and Jebster could be very helpful. If the Duke and Duke aspect of the GOP continues to shun Trump and Trump loses a close election, I think it would be fair to say that mainstream GOP cost him the election. I won't forget, and I am not, as my friends here may recall, a stalwart fan of Trump. I wonder how Trump's stalwart fans would react to such a result.

The telling aspect of The Hill's walkback is her personal attack on Trump. Team Hill, having the abandoned the meme that it's all over but the shouting, has decided it needs to paint Trump as David Duke. This is where Kasich, Jebster and Charlie Baker types could be very helpful. Note that I give Charlie Baker a limited pass, because the Bay State has such a lunatic post-modern therapy state aspect to it that I could see Baker's enthusiastic support of Trump as costing him re-election. But he could at least speak up against The Hill's deplorable remark.

Dennis Prager is always excellent but I thought his last half hour of Hour 3 yesterday was as informative as it gets. I love his clarity. If anyone cares to hear the show I would recommend clicking on this link and clicking on the big picture of Dennis at the top, then scrolling to the 28:45 minute mark and start listening.
On Social Justice he made this excellent point of clarity which I really appreciated, as it allows me to think solidly about the term and what it means.
Dennis: "...The NEVERTRUMPER's argument that we can survive 4 more years...I guess there is a desire to be optimistic in the human being that we all have, but I am always wary of unfounded optimism. You can't cure an illness with optimism. You cure an illness with reality. You don't want your Doctor to substitute Optimism for Realism. You want him to be optimistic once there is realism, cause it helps you recover, but first lets be realistic. Forty years of a Left Wing Supreme Court? And all the other Judges that are often more important than the Supreme Court, since a very small number of cases obviously ever make it to the Supreme Court? The Left doesn't regard the word "Judge" as you do...They have a different view of the role of a Judge. The role of a Judge is to promote "Social Justice." The Conservative belief is that the role of a Judge is to promote "Justice." They are not related. Please understand that. That is the reason the Left uses the term "Social Justice" and not the term "Justice."
Example---in the Bible, that the Left has contempt for, there is a verse: "You shall not favor the poor in judgement." In other words there is a poor man and a rich man before you as a Judge---you cannot favor the poor man because he's poor. But for the Left that's not correct. You favor the poor man because that's "Social Justice" as opposed to "Justice." The Left is not interested in Justice, it is interested in Social Justice, and Judges are there to promote Social Justice. Incidentally, I just learned you can get a BA now at the University of Iowa in Social Justice. There is no hiding the fact that the purpose of the College Education is to indoctrinate you to be a Leftist, and it is largely successful and has been for about a half a century..."
And his segment after the break starting at 39 minutes is marvelous, especially when he gets to 42 minutes and the story of the Catholic woman who saved the 12 Jews in Warsaw by sleeping with the Nazi Officer to save their lives. Amazing.

TC, I'll say it again. It is a mistake of gargantuan proportions for Hill to try and out smart ass a smart ass from Queens.
But that is what makes her such a terrible candidate; her impeccable Costanza judgement. If someone ever told her to just do the opposite of whatever comes to mind she might have been a formidable candidate.
As it is she is hopeless and hopelessly manipulatable by someone like Trump.
She has chosen a disastrous course. Let us pray she hews to it.

So far, nothing like that for Trump. All he has to do is not do a Romney or Mitt. Hillary will end up eventually (sans Assange revelations) doing a Dukakis. She can't help herself. Or a Kerry, crawling through a colon.

You bet, Maryrose, and when you watch Hillary in the clip of hers talking about how she' going to put a lot Coal Miners out of Business, her mask slips when she looks at some guy in the audience named Tim that gets her smiling and gleeful about killing those jobs, before she realizes she stepping in it and pulls back, pretending she has some compassion. Empathy, she's got none. She get her yucks out of destroying peoples lives.
Odd how the only time I think I can detect a genuine laugh or smile out of her is when she smiles at "Tim" about killing Coal Mine jobs or is genuinely yucking it up about killing Khadaffi.
Besides being deplorable, she is one Psychologically sick human.
She reminds me a bit of the depravity of Ghengis Khan:
“A man's greatest pleasure is to defeat his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them that which they possessed, to see those whom they cherished in tears, to ride their horses, and to hold their wives and daughters in his arms.”

"We came, we saw, he died! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!!

Absolutely correct!
You have described her perfectly.
There is a moral core missing.

The Ground Zero anniversary event is a wonderful opportunity for Trump to show class and statesmanship. I hope he's wise enough not to respond to HC's unforced "deplorables" schtick with an intemperate response that would overshadow his NYC remarks.

Thomas Collins,
As an early Trump supporter I can tell you that I am done with most of the GOP, with the exception of a few like Jeff Sessions. They will only get my vote if they have a Marxist opponent.
If the Dems were smart they would put up old school Dems but they have gone so far left that that is doubtful.
I cannot tell you how betrayed I feel by people like Jeb Bush and John zkasich. I consider them con men, only interested in advancing their own interests and not caring about the people.
I will probably be a duty voter, in that I will feel compelled to show up, since I have voted in every single election, both primary and general, since I first was eligible back in the early 70's. I even voted in this weird off years when it was simply mayor and school board.
To people who have come onto the Trump train from having never voted, or not having voted in some years, the anger will be immense. I would not be surprised to see armed insurrection in coal country.
Trump is painting a vision of a prosperous America, united under the flag, where all groups are lifted up. To have to fore sake that for the dreary vision of Hillary will be too much for them to bear, and maybe too much for me as well.
I care about the future for my grandkids, and Trump gives them the best shot. I pray every day that he can win.
