The NY Times tried to have a bit of fun describing the sale of their party to the special interests with a piece originally titled
“How Democrats Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love Big Donor Money”
Ahh, well, and who among us does not enjoy a Dr. Strangelove reference? Evidently the non-enjoyers include NY Times editors, their readers, the 43% of Democrats who voted for no-PAC Bernie, and even, if we believe what she says rather than what she does, Hillary Clinton.
In any case, the current revised title is
"Democrats Rake In Money, Thanks to Suit by Republicans"
That's not quite "Republicans made us do it!", but it's closer. And it spoils our fun, since it was only last week the Times ran a piece titled
"Liberals See Hillary Clinton’s Focus on Big Donors as Bafflingly Dated".
To be fair there is a lot about Hillary that is baffelingly dated. But in this instance, I think the Times people quickly got the message that running yet another reminder of what a special-interest sell-out their party establishment has foisted on an unhappy Democratic base may not be helpful to the ongoing Hillary cram-down promotional effort.
Come on. I don’t want to be first.

Just a heads up given the previous thread's discussion of giving up control over the ICANN. I wrote a post a few weeks ago about a troubling report called the Roadmap for the Next Administration. It just came to my attention within the last hour that the co-authors of that roadmap are also involved with creating the new form of governance template for ICANN.
Also heavily involved with the UN, Open Data, and new forms of governance for us serfs generally. I am still looking at the papers mentioned in footnotes.

So the trust in the accuracy of the "fact checkers" is about the same as the trust in the overall media. Bottom line is about 70% of likely voters distrust the media.
The good news is that value represents all likely voters. When you break it down by party affiliation you get Republicans 79% Independents 69% and Democrats 40%
In other words, for all the anti-Trump/pro-Hillary propaganda that the leftwing media is spewing out now to influence the election, roughly 70% of Independent voters realize its nothing but crap.

From looking at the ICANN blueprint, it appears to me the UN was already taking over control of the Internet. The surrender of ICANN appears to be so the US can no longer be an impediment to that desire to control information. That not only fits with what is really going on in ed, but it fits with a push back in the early 70s in connection with the declaration of the UN GA of the New International Economic Order.

On July 16, 2012, Judge Garaufis ordered the New York City Fire Department to implement racial quotas to address grievances from minorities who failed entrance exams. His ruling requires hiring off a list of priority hire candidates, two of every five newly hired firefighters to be black and one of every five Hispanic, until the department has fulfilled the court-ordered quota of 186 black and 107 Hispanic hires or until the list is exhausted. This is due to a lawsuit that alleges two placement exams (Written Exams 7029 or 2043) for the FDNY were discriminatory against blacks and Hispanics, because fewer minorities passed the exam than whites.[1]

Ran out to the grocery and Seann Hannity was on my radio. He had Carrie Prejean, another gal with an Hispanic name, and a former Miss Wisconsin in the Miss USA pageant.
I didn't hear all of this, but Carrie Prejean said that when all of that controversy came down on her, Donald Trump was the only one who stood by her and defended her. She said he even gave her his private cell phone number and always answered.
The Miss Wisconsin lady has some sort of incurable disease and is now in home care. She said that when Trump found out about her illness, he offered all sorts of help and also made sure her son has a full ride scholarship to college. (I don't know if he personally donated or hosted a fundraiser.) He also wrote her a beautiful letter about how she was the bravest woman he knew.
I didn't hear the third woman, as she had been on before I turned on the radio. All three of them are outraged at Hillary Clinton using this story and at the Venezuelan woman who accepted Trump's help and thanked him and then made up a story about him. (And once again, I ask how she managed to get US citizenship and how quickly and without a good background check.)
The more I see, the more I think Trump is a pretty nice guy who has been terribly maligned by the democrats and the press.

Posted by: Beasts of England | September 30, 2016 at 04:47 PM
Regarding the ballots, for all we know Kasich put them there.
I sure would be looking to see who had access to that warehouse, and of course the crime scene/fingerprints thing.
MY solution is that all states should have paper ballots with a new form showing they were printed AFTER September 30. All ballots should be locked in a vault in a bank, and removed only the morning of election day by armed state police, who transport them to voting areas under TV cameras.
And if this adds 6 hours to the voting day, so be it.
Also, hand counting under video surveillance with results announced on camera when counting is finished. Ballots nor people do not leave the room until counted.
Posted by: Miss Marple the Deplorable | September 30, 2016 at 04:48 PM
Sample ballots are usually clearly marked as such with an obvious voter ID number. Not sure what was in those crates from the article.
Posted by: Captain Hate | September 30, 2016 at 04:57 PM
And if they were ballots identical to official ballots, what's to prevent the crooked Dem party from using the Democrat pre-marked "sample ballots" to boost her numbers? Maybe I've grown too cynical, but I don't trust the Dem's to do ANYTHING honorable. Especially, as desperate as they are to keep their corrupt power structure in place, to protect them from prosecution in a Trump administration.

We don't have sample ballots handed out here in Indiana. The newspapers print out some information and you can get it on the web site, but we have electronic voting, so sample ballots would not make sense.

I thought he voted for it.
Well the track record for Dem Senators that voted for it in normal states is not that good.

maryrose,
He also voted for a couple of other really bad things. The partial birth abortion thing comes to mind.
He makes ads touting Hoosier values. Then he goes to DC and voted opposite of what the voters wanted.
People herer didn't forget that stuff.
They also didn't forget his desire to live in DC, his edict that his wife couldn't wear pants (back in the 80's) and his connection to lobbyists.

The part about him refusing to ALLOW his wife to wear slacks just points out the pathetic state of opposition research and willingness to employ it in the party of stoopid. Lee Atwater would be sooooo pissed off.

Jonah Goldberg is going to be the Guest Programmer for October on Turner Classic Movies:
This month TCM welcomes two Guest Programmers--writer/editors Jonah Goldberg and Leon Wieseltier--who choose their films with an eye toward "Ideology in Movies." Goldberg is a syndicated columnist who writes about politics and culture for National Review, where he is also a senior editor. Wieseltier is a scholar, critic and contributing editor to The Atlantic, and former literary editor of The New Republic.
In alternating segments with host Ben Mankiewicz, the pair presents four movies. Wieseltier, a staunch liberal, chooses Elia Kazan's America America (1963), because it leads to a discussion of today's "widespread vilification of immigrants." His second pick is Fritz Lang's Fury (1936), which Wieseltier links to the current "ascendancy of demagoguery in our politics." Goldberg picks Kazan's A Face in the Crowd (1957), noting that he comes "from a branch of conservatism that is nervous about excessive political enthusiasm"; and Frank Capra's Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) in part because he considers its crusading hero to be "the first Tea-Partier."
It's next Wednesday, October 5th. I think I'll be skipping TCM that night.
