http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/10/19/13288594/new-silent-majority
some many quotes:
>>>Data from the Pew Research Center shows that Republicans enjoy the allegiance of the vast majority of white voters without a college degree — a trend that Trump will, if anything, accelerate. Democrats, meanwhile, enjoy overwhelming majorities among people of color, who now comprise almost 40 percent of their party — a trend that Trump will, again, accelerate.<<<
Let this roll around in your head for a while?
>>>This is, however, another way of saying that she has an unusually impressive résumé for a presidential candidate, with a longer and wider range of experience than any president since the Civil War.<<<
Really? More impressive than say, Eisenhower, just as one example. She is the bag lady for a corrupt political machine, a machine which believes in only their own power. Yeah, lets cement these last 8 years.

LAT and Ras all tied up (Trump up .2 in LAT).
Other polls are just nuts (channeling Golly Gee here). WaPo/SurveyMonkey has Trump winning in OH, IA, NV but losing in AZ and close in TX?
Other outfits showing similar inexplicable state polling as well.
It's possible that the shy Trump effect is magnified by the months of demonizing and assaults plus the plunge in response rate. So the variance by state could be in part due to the degree to which that state's voters are willing to 1) answer polling calls and 2) go on record for Trump while speaking with a live person.
In addition, nobody has the slightest idea what the turnout models should look like, because 2016 is a black swan compared with 2008 and 2016.
Today on my drive to work in liberal ground zero I saw exactly one anti-Trump (not pro-Hillary) sticker and exactly one Bernie sticker. And that includes the very full parking garage at the university. Needless to say it was all Obama stickers four years ago, and lots of Bernie stickers in the spring.
Crazy ride.

Well, okay. I'm neither Siskel or Erbert, but I noted this 16 second exchange in a 22 year old movie to be shocking -- shockingly banal, an example of how men were apparently talking to each other in 1994, or at least how writers
Claude Zidi, Simon Michaël, Didier Kaminka
and writer/director James Cameron thought that men talked to one another.
Posted by: Sandy--Make America Deplorable Again--Daze | October 19, 2016 at 12:51 PM
More from link. Karl Marx did not lay out his Human Development Society/little c communism vision any more succinctly.
"Many of the inequalities we face in today’s economy are not just a product of
increased risk faced by poor families, contingent workers, and the like; rather
they are products of deeper structural disparities in access to opportunities. Equal opportunity is not about fair competition or risk mitigation; it is fundamentally about freedom. If the goal is to provide freedom for each of us to develop the lives and experiences we have reason to value, then the purpose of social policies must be understood in terms of enabling access to those goods, services, and opportunities whose presence in turn enables that freedom—and whose absence
narrows it. We can think of these as public goods in which our policies must invest.
These public goods are not physical infrastructure like roads or bridges; they are a kind of “social infrastructure of opportunity” that makes possible a wider array of stable, secure life pathways. We must think of goals like universal healthcare, universal benefits like child care support, and universal access to pensions as the shared “infrastructure of opportunity” that can ease the precarity and poverty experienced by too many in America today. Practically, we must reevaluate our social contract and welfare policies in two further steps: identifying those elements of social infrastructure that are most critical, and developing a mix of public provision and regulatory oversight to ensure access to those goods and services."
This obligation extends to all illegals who can make it here. Of course they are coming.

One of the folks on that list is this Professor from Porchlight's School:

author of “Deduction: Introductory Symbolic Logic”
Dennis Prager read one of his columns last night on air. It was excellent. Dennis also mentioned how now that Bonevac's name is on that list he has received letters from fellow Professors accusing him of being a NAZI. What Happens When a Professor Says He’s Voting for Trump?

I see Miss M and her link now indicates it was for the Bernie Debates, not the Trump Debates. Good. Glad to get the clarification and to get it right, but it comes back to a point I made yesterday about Debbie Wasserman Schultz---why does the Media only think (to use their word) she "Rigged" the Nomination Election for Hillary, but she would of course not do that in the general?
In this Debate Questions case we now know Hillary was being fed the Debate questions before the Primary Debates, but of course her allies in the Press wouldn't dream of thinking Team Hillary would do that in the general.
Why the hell not?
Posted by: daddy | October 19, 2016 at 02:10 PM
Since we now have proof positive that Hillary was getting the questions fed to her ahead of time for the primary debates, doesn't it stand to reason that she's still getting them fed to her ahead of time?

This is an email saying that Hillary was obsessed with Jeb, because she thought he would be the easiest to beat.
Except for Trump, of course.
This goes back to my theory that they absolutely didn't know Trump at all. (James Kallstrom in my last post has known him for 30 years.)
I would say (given what we now know about the media) that Trump got favorable coverage in the primaries because the dems thought he would be easy to beat.
I wonder if TRUMP knew that. I also wonder if he misled Bill Clinton when he met with him before running, leading Bill to believe it was a vanity run, so that Bill went to hillary and said, "Hill, yuk-yuk, you're not gonna believe this..."

Anyone else notice that now that we have everyone in the Media and on the Left trying desperately to silence James O'Keefe's and Wikileaks from revealing all the awful secrets about the Left, suddenly there has not been word one from anyone demanding to see Trump's Tax Returns.

Bolded is a direct quote.
Anyone here have a mental picture of HRC "hopping aboard" a plane?
It's these little things that I applaud sbw for fighting against.
In their desperate effort to prop her up, they want you to visualize HRC as just as energetic as BHO every time we've seen him boarding/exiting a plane.
Now, for the funny part. Rush said he saw a still of her exiting the plane in Vegas. His comment was something to the effect that the woman in that still shot will not be the woman you see tonight. (as in, not looking too good at the deplaning.)

Trump copyrighted his slogan "Make America great Again" in 2012. He has been thinking about running since he considered the Reform party back in 2000.
He knew full well the tax question would be asked, so I am positive that he paid steep federal income taxes and also has a lot of charitable deductions.

The Ohio GOP needs to be burned to the ground. It's always been a statewide battle of inbreds between the northeast and southwest and now this is the second straight Presidential election where they've stomped on their johnsons with cleats. Just fire everybody.

One lesson the Left is going to take away from this election is that in order to continue to control the Narrative, they are going to absolutely have to censor the internet. Anything not approved by Big Brother will be deemed to be hate speech.
Prager commented a bit yesterday on the US this week turning some sort of control over the Internet to some Global UN type body, and that already there is some huge Islam group trying to make it unallowable to post anything that is defamatory of Islam in any way, such as mentioning it's honest links with violence. Prager thought it was all part of Obama's overall plan to continue to weaken America when given the chance.

Will all the compromising emails from Neera Tanden remove her from the panel on Rove News Sunday?

daddy, google ICANN internet handover. It's a done deal as of Oct. 1, I believe. It will make you tear your hear out. Some of our stalwarts in Congress and state governments did try to stop it, to no avail.

"tear your hear out"
also your hair

Reading about democrat campaign tactics, the sordid life of their candidate and the media's complicit actions to get her over the finish line is like walking through a sewer. The article about the feces disposal on a public street doesn't surprise me a bit.

Judicial Watch caught Hillary hedging in her sworn testimony compared to emails from the FOIA*. (She did a "don't recall" on discussing email with Pagliano, which the email shows).
*The article says the email was from wikileaks, but it was in the FBI FOIA pack. Might have been in wikileaks too -- a useful accuracy test if anyone is up to it.

There may or may not be no "there there" Miss M, but I take it more that they realize that demanding hidden stuff of Trump's opens the hypocrisy door to the Public demanding to see the secret stuff of theirs, and since the secret stuff now coming out about their guys is so horrendous they have to go all out trying to hide discussion of secret stuff from being revealed about anyone, since it is so much more damaging to their side than to Trump's side. Then we get Chris Cuomo saying it's illegal for the public to look at this stuff when nobody was saying it was illegal a week earlier to look at Trump's leaked Tax returns from 2013. And today up pops Rubio to save the day saying don't look at Hillary's stuff since one day they might be looking at GOP stuff.
He's dirty and a weasel.

Scott Adams knocks it out of the park once again.

I don't have to worry about the "hair" part Porch:) BTW, I have a Simulator Check ride this evening so I will miss the debate. I am supposed to be studying like crazy but all these posts and Wikileaks and Veritas Video's etc are driving me bonkers and I will probably do awful. Oh well, what you gonna' do.

Have Trey Gowdy and his team of gumshoes ordered the unimpeached Koskinen to find out who leaked the tax returns, which is a crime. Or has Private Eddie relieved them of all responsibilities other than getting reelected?

Good Scott Adams post.

My appreciation for Scott Adams has grown quite a bit this year. Maybe he will be entertaining in the camps. I'm only half kidding.

Well Captain,
It was probably only illegal in the sense of leaking Linda trip's Personal Files was illegal or Amy and Chuck Schemer having "aides" rummaging thru Micheal Steele's "leaked Social Security files", or Leaked like Craig Livingston and the FBI Files, etc. It was probably only that sort of illegal not
rape rape"illegal illegal."Posted by: daddy | October 19, 2016 at 03:12 PM
Feel good story of the day, Miss Marple @2:36.
