Troll Level: Planetary Overlord:
Trump Reportedly Trashed Media ‘Liars’ in Meeting with Networks: ‘It Was Like a F*cking Firing Squad’
He's just giving us all a show, and we're loving it. Is there any Trump voter anywhere who is not happy to think that Martha Raddatz is choking up about Trump's ascension all over again?
The Times is catching on:
But after details of Mr. Trump’s hectoring leaked on Monday in The New York Post, it seemed the meeting was being used as a political prop, especially after Trump-friendly news outlets trumpeted the session as a take-no-prisoners move by a brave president-elect.
“Trump Slams Media Elite, Face to Face,” blared the Drudge Report. “Trump Eats Press,” wrote Breitbart News.
No kidding.
But let me volunteer to help out the Times, which is now committed to rooting out the spread of "fake news" on the internet. Where did they come up with this nugget, my emphasis?
Still, the encounter crystallized concerns that Mr. Trump, emboldened by his victory, may refuse to abide the traditional dynamic of a president and the journalists who cover him, a naturally adversarial relationship that is nevertheless based on some level of mutual trust.
By "traditional... naturally adversarial relationship" they must mean "pre-Obama".
With only 8 more Senate seats needed to get to 60, and 5 of those in Republican country, the Democrat Party is on life support. Please keep calling us racists.

We also don't know if his is just in reference to emails, or includes the foundation investigation. My guess is the latter will proceed, especially as it's not just a federal matter.

If you assume Wikileaks coordinated with the Trump campaign then its likely Trump has the dirt on Hillary's email server, the Clinton Foundation, Anthony Weiner's sex crimes, the rumored pedophile sex ring, etc. That means Trump has some leverage.
If at any point over the next 4 years the Democrats decide to engage in major obstructionism, they will have to decide if it is worth the risk of Trump potentially releasing some of that damaging info to the public.

Beasts...Best Election EVAH! They may never win another.
Posted by: Rocco | November 22, 2016 at 02:06 PM
Why is it that some Americans *believe* that the Chief Executive of our Executive Branch of government is "an elected representative?"
We are allowed to exercise our "relative power" in the election of the chief executive as we do in the election of our representatives in the federal government.
That is the extent of the *democratic* process in our constitutional federal republic.
Our relative power as voting citizens is mitigated by the representatives we elect to Congress.
There has been enough said about the genius of the Electoral College so I won't belabor that any further.
This nonsense about the "popular" vote though gets a few beebeez to the backside:
The "vote" has become a mail-it-in convenience for Americans to point to indignantly when their candidate loses, and triumphantly when they remain uninvolved in their congressional district but can say "I voted."
Whoopedy duda.
The election of our *representatives* in Congress has a democratic element to it. In a pure democracy, which the snowflakes insist that we are, the people have direct voting-based involvement in passing legislation--- kind of like this infernal "ballot proposition" nonsense in California which have us $127 billion in debt.
What if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 were to have been handled as a general election ballot initiative across the 50 states? Would it have gone the way of Proposition 13 out here in California? Pecked to death by its opponents?
Whoops.
Posted by: Account Deleted | November 22, 2016 at 02:09 PM
.... what I notice is the word "authoritarian" is now being used by the elitist establishment types..
And here all along I thought Tom Friedman was a big fan of "an elightened autocracy." How come he doesn't like our "Enlightened Autocrat?" How cone he only likes "Enlightened Autocrats" if they're in charge of Communist countries? What's up with that?

I'd go with Stars & Stripes Forever
That triggers a memory, maybe false. On GWB's Inauguration Day, I remember the networks had a split screen with the Clinton entourage going to the airport, arriving, and readying to board a plane for NY. I seem to remember a brass band in the hanger playing "Hail to the Chief". The idea of the the Bushes having to share the limelight on that day still seems bizarre. No telling what narcissistic shenanigans BOzo has planned for Trump's day.

People that aren't invited don't get to bring anything. We usually seat 20+.

We can see Alcatraz Island from our front deck. Usually the scene of an all Nation's sunrise prayer ceremony on turkey day. I am up early to pray for their safe travels to and from. Treacherous waters.
My side of the fam is in four states (6 sibs) and Dad is in Lynchburg Virginny (84 and killin' it).
Travel during TG is airport hell. No gracias.
Mrs. Kid's famille is in SoCal. The big shindig showdown will be in Babs Boxer land (Palm Springs) beginning the day after Christmas. I guess starting in February father-in-law (Rancho Mirage) will have new "naybuz" as the Bath House Rat and his whatever will take up residence there.
Looking forward to that though. FIL is a 5 star restauranteur in Palm Springs. His restaurant has been the best in the desert for five years running. He and the Mrs. are big fundraisers for the Dhimmis. Could it be that the Kevlar Kid will end up rubbing elbows (eww) with the BHR?
Weird scenes inside the gold mine.

Next time you hear an enviro wack-a-doodle whining about "air quality" and "particulates" you have my permission to pick up your coal shovel to dispatch them with a "short, sharp, shock" in the face.
Raiders won last night against Houston up in nearly 2 mile high Mexico City. The Raiders defense was on the field way too long and were exposed to some of the dirtiest air on the planet.
Have a homie who made the trip on the team's plane (locker room guy). Said some of the players were suffering from nosebleeds the pollution was so bad. One player said he felt like he'd "smoked a carton of Kools."
We get light smog here on hot days by the bay and it's gone by nightfall when the marine layer wafts in.
All the propaganda about the US being this "big offender" comes from progressive doctors who moonlight for the EPA on the taxpayers dime turning out "studies" linking diesel exhaust with asthma in children.
Just stop already.

You know what song I'm glad we WON'T be having to listen to Jan. 20, 2017?
The Bitch is Back by Elton John. Can I get an "amen?"

JohnH, thanks. I'm glad it's not just me. :) But I like my new future SIL (she is super progressive and loves to argue politics but doesn't take it personally, so she's actually kind of fun in that sense). I know she's just trying to help. I am not a natural hostess, though, and our oven is acting up, so it all makes me quite nervous.

VDH grows grapes for raisins, I believe, lyle.
"Vineyard grower" lol.

"Hey Dudu,
Thanks for the generous proposal, but I can't move to Ireland just when American is going to be GREAT again"
Yeah.....it's definitely going to be a ........uhm.......superior country......in every way.
Well, if rolling green hills and thatched roof cottages ever take your fancy come visit me. I like thunderstorms, dancing in the rain, scented candles, cuddling and massive amounts of alcohol followed by violent outburst followed by hours of crying.

1.72 million.
That's the number of votes Donald Trump lost the election by.
I see. One problema, Ese.
3 million. That's the estimated number of illegal Mexican border jumping squatters voting in California.
The number of illegal votes cast across 50 states is expected to rise to over 7 million by the time the chunky chica takes the stage and belts out her tune.

That Fleetwood Mac song, also. The one from 1992. I'm not even going to type the title.

You're probably right, Porch. I seemed to think his "vineyard grower" was almond trees or some other kind of nut.

You mean this one?

We are supposed to feel sorry for a very rich woman who now has endless free time to spend with her daughter and tiny grandchildren
Makes me feel sorry for The Omen and her two chilluns, Aiden and Abettin.
Okay, not really.

lyle, I'm with you.
The Clintons are like the Kennedys. I despise them all, and want to see them all savagely punished, from the eldest right down to the infants.
